Body freeze
Alpha Lobo's pov
There was something about her smile that made my belly knot, she wasn't just any kind of woman who would come to you with no plan, I could already tell she had a plan and I dreaded the outcome already.
“Sabrina, can't you see that whatever you want to accomplish is wrong? I know for a fact that you aren't doing it for anyone's benefit”
“Ha! She chipped in in loud laughter, “You know me too well Lobo, I almost convinced me that you're not dumb” she snorted mawkishly.
Barging into my park was an offence on its own, not calling me dumb?, I could not take it, I stood from my seat, ready to drag her out of ashinas chair and out of my chambers, even risking the wolves seeing it, but as always she was one step ahead of me.
“Seat” she jarred at me out of the blue, before I could touch her, at that moment, I felt my body freeze, I had lost total control of my being, my body felt light and my mind disconnected.
“The next time you try to act irrational, I would have you on a pole” she snarled at me.
I wanted to nod, I wanted to say something, anything at all, but I had lost my will to speak, I could only listen to her, she had compelled me to stand with her witchy powers.
“Now, sit,” she said.
Without any will to sit down, I felt my body move back to my seat, I toon a seating position, my head focused forward to the door, I was like a sleeping child with a mind, my thoughts were rampaging, she had immobilised me.
‘Please Sabrina’ I begged subconsciously but I had no idea if she could hear me at the very least, I craved for her next word as though it was my liberation, but her she sat on the throne, pressing her hands on her head like a worried mother.
“All you wolves do it fuck and find trouble, I came here in peace, till you pissed me off” I was still mute, I could not even utter a word in my defense, all I wanted to do was tell her how bad it would be for her to rule, she wasn’t cut out for it, even if the witches decided to rule and united with the monach of all shifter and moon children, Sabrina was too much she was too bad and diabolical
“Well, if you must know, since you must be wondering how I yield so much power over you, you are poisoned” my eyes bulged in my eye socket, it was the only muscle I had gotten access to.
“Throughout your reign in the park, and while I have been your assist in the shadows, I have been adding little potions to compel you”
I knew it!
I should have suspected her to be that devious, how dumb could I have been not to have seen it!, my heart palpitated in my chest.
“And I know you might be asking yourself, how?, why?, and I also have an answer for you, it’s because you are greedy”
I felt her stand from the throne then stood before me, her long slender hands slid into my hair, as he smirked at me, her eye glimmered with devious intent as she placed a kiss on my forehead, then down my cheek, I felt her finger hold my jaw as she kissed me.
“Damn your lips are so nice” she said amidst a moan, hatred and anger brewed within me, I could not unleash it, I could not let it out, it felt as though I was going to die.
“Well, as far as the poison goes, it will cripple you from head and toe and would leave you like a boiled leave,”
My heart skipped a beat, my wolf grumbled with anger as her words imposed a threat on our ego, “and only two people have the cure” she continued, this time looking at me, she sat on my thighs, her hands wrapped around my neck.
“Me, and your lost mate” her words proceeded with a tone of menace as she laughed in a villainous manner.
“Ashina?” I asked, my lips could finally move.
“Yes stupid, you mate that you had chased into the woods to die in the hands of brutal wolves who don’t know her worth. Her blood could save you, and knowing she’s not here to save you, it was the perfect time to strike”
The feeling was perplexing, Ashina had left me, I had no idea if she was dead or alive, my wolf couldn’t feel her around me, and it was because for so long, I had closed my feeling towards her, I never showed her any love so our bond wasn’t as strong.
Regret hunted me, ‘it now, please’
“And secondly, if you haven’t been so dumb and only thought of yourself, maybe you would have noticed that you did not only marry a healer, but you married the lady whom the goddess had blessed with the power to see the future”
“What!, how’s that possible, only Meera had that ability”
“That’s what her parents said to make both sisters equal, but you would have known better”
I found it hard to believe, but thinking far back, Anisha never spoke like a seer, she only focused on the power to heal while Meera harnessed the powers to see vision, there was no way it could be Anisha who had those powers right?
“Lies”
“You blind fool!, you have been played,” she continued laughing. “You have lost this battle now, and trust me, I won’t let you go till I get everything I want, and you will be a part of it till the very end even if it cost you your life, as long as mine is excluded”
“Sabrina” I whispered in defeat as my head sagged backwards, I am totally at lose.
