Chapter 10

MADELINE
I'm waiting for the spy who's helping trace all of my brother's activities. I know it's wrong but I just want to know everything my brother's doing. This may be useful for me in future, I don't do it all the time so it's no big deal. I envy my brother sometimes, I wanna have everything he has and not be below him.
He has the name, the fame and every other thing you could think of. And he made me one of his workers. My mother sees nothing wrong in it despite the fact that we are siblings and we should be treated equally.
She helped him get enough money to start a business that got him to where he is today.
She didn't deem it fit to also make me a success too. I'm not saying I don't have enough money, but then I can't stop myself from being jealous.
Sometimes I don't know the difference between envy and jealousy anymore. I will show them one day, that I'm better than my brother.
"I'm sorry I took long Miss Romans." He said sitting down.
"Yeah. I have a lot of business to attend to and I don't expect you to waste my time. Get straight to the point." I said rudely.
"Alright then. I followed him these past days and I noticed a lady he's now associating with. I don't know if she's his girlfriend or not but they were seen together at his hotel a few days ago. He took her away, no one stopped him."
"Find out who that girl is and their relationship. Is that all?."
My brother would never take a girlfriend. As much as I'm envy him, I don't want any gold digging slimy bitch close to my brother anymore. I've been working hard and I won't let just anyone come take all I've been working for.
"Not yet. There's this new company partner who was chasing after your brother at the end of the meeting. I took a picture of her, it seems your brother knows her before now. And it shows that he also hates her because he completely ignored her." He replied and brought out a picture.
I took the picture from him. I feel shocked at the picture in front of me. Am I blind or is this not the same bitch that broke my brother and almost ruined his life years ago?.
"I want you to find out where she's staying and what her mission is. If you also see her with my brother, tell me immediately." I ordered. "Yes, Miss Romans. I guess I'm free to leave now?."
"Yeah go." I waved him off and drank the rest of my coffee.
He bowed and left. I also left the cafe where we met. I'm bothered that Davina is back. My brother gave everything to her and I don't want something like that to happen anymore.
I won't let anyone take what I've been working hard for all these years. My brother's fortune stays within my family and goes nowhere else.
DAVINA
I messed up. I made the biggest mistake of my life and I lost such a great guy. He loved me, but at that time I was too blind to see that. I only did what Alan wanted me to do, and that was to keep fooling Jayden until there's nothing left for him anymore.
Jayden treated me well unlike Alan. But I really thought what he was telling me to do to Jayden was the best. Not until I caught him with another girl a few months later. Then I found out he didn't love me, he was just playing with me just like he did to other girls.
Jayden had already left a few weeks after I broke up with him and I've never found him till this day. Life has been really tough on me, I almost gave up.
But then I had to use my body to get where I am now. I've never found a man like Jayden who would love me with everything he has.
I just want him back. I decided to come here because I found out he was here. I know it has been years but I'm willing to fight for him now. He has everything I could ever want in a man, there is no way I'm letting him go this time. I don't care what it will take me, I am going to have him for myself.
"And don't you think that's a bad idea?." My friend Stacey asked.
Stacey's a doctor and she's quite well off. We used to be good friends in high school and she offered to let me stay in her place. I don't want to stay in a hotel till I can get an apartment. I'm telling her all about Jayden since we went to separate universities.
"There's no harm in trying. Besides, Jayden loves me a lot. He is just mad at me but with time he's going to accept me." I replied confident.
"I don't know about that, but it's a damn bad idea to me. He actually ignored you all through the meeting and he's even acting like you don't exist. Are you sure you don't wanna think this through? Think of it, he may already have another woman he's in love with." She said.
I shook my head. I've checked his records and no woman has been seen with him as his girlfriend. Not even for a week. This could only mean that he still has me in his heart, he's just mad for now.
"I don't think so Stacey. He doesn't have a girlfriend, how can he fall in love?. I think he has been unable to forget me, that's why he couldn't find himself dating another woman."
"Or he got tired of women after the betrayal. I think the answer's he hates women now. Don't get too excited girl."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever. You just have yo spoil my mood don't you?."
I stood up and walked into my room. I laid on the bed thinking about what Stacey said. Is it possible he hates women now?. I think she's just trying to ruin my hopes. Jayden loves me and he's definitely going to be mine.
