Chapter 13
JAY
I love the look on her face after she realized what she signed up for. I wouldn't be this hard on her if she wasn't so hot. I can't stop myself from wanting her for myself and not wanting to see her with anyone. I warned her to read the contract but knowing how impatient and rude she is, she refused to read it.
After listening to her argue with someone who I knew would be a man on the phone this morning, I felt the need to pull her away from more men. I am very sure those are her old clients. That actually makes me so angry knowing that her body has been taken by everyone.
She left angrily, I couldn't stop myself from arguing with her. She is right, I am acting like an over possessive jealous boyfriend. I don't understand if what I feel for her is just lust anymore. Sometimes my body asks for the strangest things.
I decided to come after she left. At least I've not been to her apartment before but I know where it is. I got here only to see Jerry Hank leaving the building. I have gotten information that he's been with her before and I am very sure he came to see her. Why is he coming to her apartment?
"You bastard! How dare you? This is not what we agreed on. And you can't make me do what you want in any way!" She protested.
I smirked, "I think I told you to read it a few days ago but you refused to right? This is why it's good to be patient."
"Well I don't care what is written in this paper. Remember they're just words, I'll do whatever I want."
I nodded, "I know you will. What would it cost you to go on the trip with me? It's a business trip where you'll enjoy all the luxuries you want. All you need to do is cooperate. You signed the agreement after all, and you don't want us involve our lawyers."
She scoffed giving me a hard glare that states she can kill me since she's so mad at me. I smiled at myself.
"You are so unbelievably annoying! I'm only going to come with you because I have nothing to lose. But do not think for a moment that I'll let you control me. You better stop dreaming."
She finally agreed. That's great. I can take her on this business trip with me and act like my partner. Well I need this trip for the growth of my empire.
"That's good. The arrangements have been made, just prepare." I got up.
I have to be at work since I already told her what I want. I'll let her dwell in it while I take care of other important matters.
"Finally, I can breathe. Please leave. Your presence here is so annoying." She complained.
I shrugged, "No problem. But you'll be seeing my face everyday soon. Good bye beautiful."
I walked to the door and opened it while blowing her a kiss, she gave me the fuck you symbol. I chuckled and walked out of the building with my bodyguards following me.
I am going to the company to attend to some pending issues. If only I didn't have to see the face of someone I don't want so much. It wouldn't be this annoying to me. I have no idea why she can't read the handwriting on the wall. I don't want her around here.
"Hello Jay... I mean Mr Romans." She smiled.
I gave her a straight face.
"May I know what I can do for you please?" I asked her.
She stretched some documents towards me which I collected.
"My bosses have decided that I come with you to the business trip in order to participate in whatever activity is being held." She explained.
I find it difficult to listen to her. Not after all the hate she has gotten from me. She thinks it's easy to get rid of it like that?
"I told you to talk to my assistant on whatever you need to do Miss Howell. Why are you directly coming to me? I do understand that you love your job as the representative of your company and you won't want me to give them negative feedback about you." I scolded.
"But..."
"No buts. You coming on the trip means nothing to me. So stop feeling like it's something I should know, it won't mean anything to me. Have a good day Miss Howell."I added and walked out.
She had this look on her face that indicates she is hurt by my words. Oh I'm not done with her yet. She did a lot of evil to me in the past, did she think that I'll forget that easily?
I suffered for years due to the scars she left behind while she lived happily like nothing happened.
I can't forgive her yet. She better stop wasting her time trying to convince me to. It won't work.
"For a businessman, this is a very bad time to come to work. Why are you just coming brother?" I met my sister Madeline in my office.
I walked to my seat, slightly annoyed my sister is preaching about business to me. The problem is, why would she get into my office without my permission?
"If you're thinking about how your I got in, you should know I have my ways."
"And your ways are not pleasing to hear of. You need to stop coming to my office univited. I thought you're supposed to have work to do?" I replied.
"And I thought I'm supposed to have something to do with your company. Why are you acting like you don't wanna see me at all?" She frowned.
I sighed, "I'm sorry Maddie. I just happened to see someone I didn't want to see."
"Oh Davina. I know. I saw her earlier, I wonder why she decided to come after what she has done years ago. I hope you're not considering taking her back."
I shook my head, "There's no way I'll do that. I feel nothing for her. She should pray I don't lose it or her job here is done."
She nodded in agreement, "Of course. She caused you a lot of harm years ago. I think the best thing for her to do is to just leave. Did she apologise though?"
"Who cares about her apology? I don't need it." I stated bluntly.
Madeline sighed and gave me some documents to look at. My sister's managing my business well, I might give her a very large share of my assets to manage. I trust her and I know she will do everything to make it grow.
"Um Jay? I need to talk to you." She sounded more serious making me curious.
"Talk to me. I can hear you."
She cleared her throat.
"I heard that you are in a relationship with someone worse than Davina. A well known whore, is that true?" She asked.
Why did I sense this was what she's going to say? Is everyone now watching my life like TV or what?
"Whoever is giving you the information, I don't care. I don't think I owe anyone an explanation as to how I can live my life. Please forget it Maddie."
She scoffed, "I am your sister! I want the best for you. That girl is nothing but a gold digger. I hope you can see that and not do anything serious with her."
"Stop following me around and stop trying to tell me what to do. I don't owe you anything. Excuse me Maddie. I've got lots of work to attend to. Tell mom I'll come see her later."
She did not say anything else as she got up and walked out of the office. I hate it when I'm disturbed with irrelevant things.
