CARLA
She has this look of disgust and anger. I don't remember ever seeing her before so what's her problem?
"I asked you a question. Who are you?" She asked again.
I crossed my arm, "Am I obliged to report to you? I don't think I owe you an explanation bitch."
She frowned, "Oh yes you do. You were coming out of my man's room. I should ask you what you're doing there."
I looked behind me to be sure she's not hallucinating. Her man? Who's her man? And why is the thought suddenly giving me a headache?
"I think you have me mistaken for someone else. You've got the wrong person. I do not know who your man is. Please leave me alone." I tried walking away but she pulled me back.
Okay thks bitch is trying my patience. I'm going to give it to her hard if she doesn't stop this nonsense.
"You came out of Jayden's room. You're one of those bitches who throw yourselves at him right?"
Jayden is her man? What the fuck is going on here? Jayden has a girlfriend and he wants me to be his mistress for six months? Why didn't he just come with her?
I never heard of her, I thought he was single. What's all this?
"Like I said, you have me mistaken from someone else. Maybe there's another Jayden in this building. Excuse me."
"Stop right there you bitch! I want to sound a warning to you. Stay away from him or I'm going to make you hate your rotten p**sy!" She threatened and walked away.
I stood there unable to understand what just happened. What's all this about? Why is Jayden's girlfriend coming to attack me when I have no fault?
I walked back to the room. I met him at the door, I pushed him inside and slammed the door.
"Hey! What was that for?" He protested.
"You are nothing but a lying jerk! Why don't you just leave me the hell alone and go be with your girlfriend!" I yelled visibly hurt, not knowing why I am.
I don't feel comfortable knowing his girlfriend and I'm so angry.
"What are you talking about? You are a drama queen but this drama is becoming too much. What girlfriend?" He asked looking confused, pretending I know.
I pushed him again.
"Your girlfriend just threatened to cut off my p**sy if I don't stay away from you. She sounded so sure you're her boyfriend, what do you hope to gain by doing all this? Why not just stick to your girlfriend and leave me alone?"
He stared at me before bursting into a loud laughter. This is funny to him? I'm taking about something that's making me angry and it's funny to him. Wow.
"I'm sorry I had to laugh but that was a nice speech. Did you finally get a place in a telenovela or what? You're acting so strange, what girlfriend? A girl just threatened you and you believed it? I thought you were tougher than this. Turns out you're still a sissy."
I slapped him hard on the face.
"I will not joke with my life because of you. You better call your girlfriend to place." I walked into the changing room.
I found something to wear and made my way out of the room. I should tour the hotel since my first day is already becoming so horrible.
I walked around and took the elevator downstairs. This hotel is quite big and one could easily get lost. It's also very close to the island. I found myself a spot to sit alone, I brought my phone with me so I won't be bored. I should call Joyce and tell her how I am doing now.
She picked up on the second ring.
"Yaaay! You called!!" She screamed almost breaking my eardrums.
"Whoa. Easy on the volume sister. Aren't you still at work?"
"I'm almost closing now. I'm so excited to see your call. Tell me how was the journey?" She asked.
"Fine. We're finally here. It's a very good place though. A nice island." I replied.
She giggled, "Oh wow. I'm so excited to hear this! I told you it would be fun."
"Yeah it would be except for..." My mind drifted to that girl again.
Why can't I accept that she's Jayden's girlfriend? It kinda makes me mad in a strange way. I want Jayden for myself, isn't that strange?
"But what? You sound off now, tell me what happened. Is something wrong?"
I sighed, "There's this crazy girl who I bumped into after having an argument with Jayden a while ago. She looked so angry and she warned me to stay away from her man."
She gasped, "What?! How dare she? I'm sure you slapped her hard on the face didn't you?"
"I didn't Joyce. I was too shocked to react. I went back to Jayden to confront him but he denied it. I just had to leave the room for now."
"It simply means she's not his girlfriend. She may be one of the numerous girls trying to get his attention. Don't stress yourself over her bestie. Put her in her place the next time she tries shit with you."
I ended up laughing. The way she said it is very funny.
"Yes ma'am. I have to go now. I'll catch up with you later. Love you."
"Love you too bestie. Bye." She hung up.
"Is that your boyfriend?" A strange voice asked from behind me making me flinch.
I looked behind me to see a blonde lady probably my age smiling at me.
"You startled me." I told her with a frown.
She scared me and she's smiling like it's nothing. I almost got a heart attack.
She sat beside me, "I am so sorry for that. I didn't mean to."
"It's okay."
"Such a beautiful place right?" I nodded, "I'm Beatrice." She stretched hands for a handshake.
"Carla." I replied shaking her hands.
"So... Are here on a vacation?"
"Um... It's a business trip."
She grinned, "Oh now I understand. You're glowing so much. My husband and I are also here on a business trip. We recently got married a few months ago, I can see you're here with your partner too."
Partner? I wish she knew who I was. Maybe she'd be disgusted and leave me alone.
"If your partner is here? Then it's not him on the phone right?"
This lady is friendly but nosy. She's asking questions like I owe her an explanation.
"Um... That's my best friend Joyce. She called to check on me."
"Hm. I wish I had a best friend. Most friends are not real."
You're quite nosy. It would be difficult for you to have a friend. But then it's easy because you are jovial and friendly.
"Instead of sitting here alone, why don't we tour this huge hotel? There's a lot to see." She suggested.
I nodded quickly. I need to do something to take my mind off things.
"I like that idea."
"Great! Let's go." She dragged me away.
She must know this place more than me due to the way she's taking me round without worries. We stopped in front of a game center, this hotel even has a mini shopping mall. Just great.
"You're going to play video games?" I asked her.
She nodded, "I am a big lover of video games. Just a little and we'll be back home. Pretty please."
I shrugged, "Okay."
A FEW MOMENTS LATER
"Whoop! This game is fun. I can't wait to kick your ass again Beatrice!" I yelled having so much fun.
"Oh you wait. I'm going to kick your ass in return!"
I didn't think I'll enjoy this game as much as this. Guess I've been too serious for too long. I'm beginning to enjoy my stay here. It won't be boring with someone like Beatrice around anymore.
