JAY
"Are you here to scold me for your whore again?" Madeline asked me as she opened the door to her suite.
I pushed her aside and walked in. As expected, I met Davina in the suite well seated on the couch. It's obvious these two are now great friends now, since they decided to work together against me. I don't take it lightly with them either.
"Hey! You can't barge into my room like that!" Madeline protested behind me.
I stopped in front of Davina, "Why? Did I interrupt something important?"
Davina's eyes widened, "Jayden! What are you thinking? Nothing like that is going on."
"I'm sorry, what am I supposed to think?" I crossed my arm.
"What are you doing here Jayden? Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting or something?" Madeline asked stepping in front of me, like she's protecting Davina.
I took a seat on the couch, "No. I don't think I have interest in meetings now. I came here to see my lovely sister, and my beautiful ex girlfriend..."
"What?"
"... since they now work together to drug me and make me stupid. It's only fair that I come to thank you, don't you think?"
They both stared at me in shock, terrified.
"What? Are you suddenly dumb that you can't say anything anymore?" I asked mockingly.
"What exactly are you talking about? Why would you accuse me of something like that?" Madeline managed to protest.
I laughed, "It's funny that you have become so arrogant sister. I didn't think it will get to this point with you. You never cease to amaze me little sister."
"Jayden can you stop making false accusations against us?" Davina demanded.
I changed my expression to a serious one. Do they think that I'm joking around with them?
"What you did last night is so disappointing Madeline. You planned with her to drug me? Why? Just to prove your point that you don't want me with Carla?"
"I.. I don't understand you Jayden." Madeline stuttered still denying what she did.
That only angered me more.
"I told you Madeline. Stay out of my private life. Whoever I chose to be with should be my problem and not yours, yet you refused to listen."
"What do you expect? I can't watch you bring a whore into our family. It's obvious she's bewitched you, you don't know what you are doing." She protested angrily, finally admitting to her crimes.
"I see. I guess I've given you too much freedom. You are suspended for a month till I call you back."
"What?!" She exclaimed.
"You should pack up and go back home Madeline. The same goes for you Davina, your company told me to inform you on their behalf. You're suspended for one month, you're no longer needed on this business trip. Someone else will take your places."
"No! You can't do this to me Jayden!" Madeline yelled pushing me.
"Oh I can. I did already. You should oblige, you only have a few hours to pack or you'll be fired for good. Now, you will give mom a good explanation to why I fired you Madeline. Or will you just obey and leave?" I asked her.
"How can you do this to your own sister? You're taking sides with that whore instead of me." She fumed.
"You are a spoilt brat Madeline. It's time someone taught you the right things. You have no right to mess with someone's life the way you want, you do not own my life. I hope you learn to understand that." I stood up.
"Jayden this is not fair." Davina cried.
I walked out of the suite without looking at her. She came after me and stopped in front of me.
"Why are you doing this Jayden? Why are torturing me? You said you've forgiven me. Why can't you let us get back together and stop all these? I know you don't love that woman, I know she's just a slut you're paying to serve you. I can do all that, just send her away and-"
I stopped her, "And you call her a slut? She doesn't even need to throw herself at me just to prove herself. She isn't desperate and low, she is the woman I love now."
She shook her head, "That's not true. You're just saying this to get back at me."
"You think?" I mocked.
"Yes, look at me Jayden. Tell me you've not been thinking about me all these years. Tell me you stopped loving me and moved on with another woman for over ten years..."
"You're right Davina. Your betrayal made you stay in my heart for a long time. It's true that I loved you, but that was before I met Carla. She took your place entirely, I love her more than I ever loved you. I stopped loving you and moved on. Get over it Davina, you're the past. She's the present." With that, I walked away leaving her there.
I could hear her sniffling, that didn't stop me. I did not want to do this but they pushed me. Drugging me was way too far. I did the necessary investigation and found that waiter, he's been fired and I will make sure he won't be finding a good job for a whole year. That would teach him to be a good worker and not a greedy fool. He let the few thousand dollars my sister gave him push him to do something so hideous. What if I was to be poisoned? Then he'll do it without caring about my life.
It only shows he can be very dangerous to everyone in the hotel. He may be used as a spy to kill hotel guests. He won't be doing that anymore, I'll make sure of it.

"Let's go back home. Or better still let me go ahead of you, I'm already tired of staying here. I don't know much about business trips and it's boring." Carla said as I got back to the suite.
"How long have you been thinking of this idea?" I asked her.
"Since I got here. Look, I don't want to stay here anymore. I don't want to hinder your business either, so you can spend the remaining time here. I'll wait for you at home, please." She pleaded sincerely.
It is obvious she doesn't want to stay here anymore. Since she's begging me for the first time, I feel guilty bringing her over.
"I'll spend a few days here. You can go back whenever you want to. Just tell me when you're ready." I told her.
"Really? You're letting me go? Just like that?" She asked like she's surprised.
I nodded, "Isn't that what you wanted? Why do sound so surprised?"
"Umm... Nothing. It's just that, I didn't think you'll agree considering..."
"I can hold myself. It's not forever after all. I won't pressure you or force you to do what you don't want to do anymore."
She smiled widely for the first time, "Thank you Jayden."
"It's nothing." I said sitting down.
"Umm... Can I treat you to dinner tonight? I have something to tell you." She asked.
"Hmm... I'm interested. Why not tell me now?"
She frowned, "Because it's a surprise. I can't tell you anything."
"I'll wait till evening then."
Though I'm curious to know what she wants to talk about and why she's treating me to dinner, I did not bother her still. I decided to wait till evening and curb my curiosity till then.

~ EVENING ~
THE HOTEL ROOFTOP
I had everything organized with the help of Beatrice. I wouldn't have been able to get dinner at the rooftop of the hotel where only elites go for Jayden. I told her it's something special, I hope it goes well. Jayden is so good at ruining things, I pray he doesn't make this whole thing meaningless.
I've thought about it, I wanna give him a chance. I waited for him to come, he arrived after a while. I wonder what took him so long, I decided to let it slide and not react.
"Sorry I came late. I was misinformed..." He stopped on seeing the table.
"Wow. You did all these for me?" He asked coming close to me.
I rolled my eyes, "You always love to feel yourself Jayden. Just sit down and let's have dinner."
He took a seat, I also took mine facing him. Someone came to serve us dinner, we ate in silence. After dinner, we had dessert.
"We have been silent since I came, you still haven't told me why I'm here." He said.
"Didn't I tell you we came to have dinner? Why are you being daft?" I snapped at him, though I'm nervous.
"You said you had something to tell me. You must have chosen this place and gone through all the trouble for something important. Tell me, do you want to woo me? I'm always available for you baby." He teased.
I palmed my face, "You're so annoying Jayden. How did I fall for you..."
I stopped realizing I just spilled the beans. His countenance changed, he looked amused and serious at the same time.
"Repeat that." He ordered.
"I... I love you too okay? I am only afraid of letting my feelings out and staying committed."
"This is what you wanted to tell me?" He asked, I nodded.
He stared at me for a while before giving me a wide smile. He stood up and pulled me into a tight hug.
"This is the best thing I've heard in years. Thank you for giving me a chance darling. I promise I'll make it good for you." He said looking deep into my eyes.
This confession is awkward, I thought I should let him know before I leave. It may be too late if I decide to do it later on.
"I don't know, I just wanted to let you know how I feel. It's kinda awkward but, I'm glad I told you."
"Why don't we make our relationship official then? Why don't we change from being clients to lovers?" He suggested.
Then I remembered our contract. It says six months, I was hoping to get rid of him after then. But I fell in love with him barely a month, now I don't want to let go.
"I guess I'll have to return your money to you..."
"Why do you say so? I don't need the money. That's nothing compared to what I feel for you now. Let's just forget I ever brought that idea up."
I nodded, "It's not easy Jayden."
"What's not?"
"You and I being together. It's not easy. Everyone knows me to be a whore, and you are a popular respected businessman. Being with me is going to ruin your reputation, it's not going to be good."
He won't be happy with me. He will be criticized, he'll be unhappy when other guys start saying bad things about me or disrespecting me. It's not that easy like he thinks.
"Are you going to back down just because of that? You're going to stop being with me because of what people say or think? If I had cared about my reputation in the first place, I would never have looked for you. No one tells me to live my life the way they want..."
"... I'm willing to undergo anything if you promise to leave your past behind and move on. That's all I ask of you." He assured me.
I sighed, "I accept to be with you Jayden. I'll try my best to start new with you, I don't want to regret it though."
"You won't darling." He brought his lips to mine and kissed them. My heart fluttered, I held on to him. My feelings are true and confirmed, I'm about to start a committed relationship. It makes me nervous knowing I don't know much about things like this, yet I hope I can make this work. I love Jayden and I want him to be happy.
