Chris's Nanny is back.

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
AVRIL
Jumai saw the sadness and disapproval in my eyes and she chickened out a bit.
"I am sorry love", she said trying to hold my arms but I took them away from her.
"It's easy for you today JUST, it's easy because you're not the one to stay here all day missing me, it's easy for you to say that because you have something else which you now love so much more than you love me", I fired at her and wiped my tears with the back of my palm.
"I only came to ask your approval, Avril, you and I know nothing and no one can and will ever replace you in my life, Avril I love you so much and I'd return to you after one week I just want to attend this one-week training that'd change my life forever", she said trying to make me understand.
I sniffed and sighed deeply without uttering a word.
"I promise you that once I return I'd hire more staff and train them so they can cover up for me at the office while I spend more time with you. Once I return I promise you that everything will return to normal", she assured.
"You expect me to believe that?" I asked staring at Jumai with my eyes blood red.
"I don't know, I want you to believe it because I promise you that it'd nothing but the truth", she said.
I stared at her with scorn without uttering a word, I wiped my tears again and sniffed more loudly this time.
"What do you want me to do?" She asked peering into my face.

CHRIS
It was getting late and my friends weren't ready to leave yet, I didn't want them to leave either.
I was too scared to sleep alone, although I didn't utter a word about what happened to them they already knew from my countenance that all wasn't well at all.
"Chris, are you ready to tell us what it is that's eating you up or should we keep staring at you like zombies?" Daniel broke the silence.
Daniel was the inquisitive one, although Andrew is as well Daniel will always press issues.
I kept staring at the ceiling without uttering a word.
"Chris?" Daniel called pushing my thigh lightly.
"Yes!" I replied as I jerked back to reality.
"What is bothering you?" Daniel asked me with so much concern written over his face.
I inhaled deeply...
"Danny, you won't understand", I said.
"We are your friends Daniel, we are always here for you. What are friends for if not to help each other in terms of needs?" Daniel asked.
"Chris, whatever it is that is bothering you, we are your friends and we are always here for you. you can tell us anything and everything and we'd help you in the best way we can", Andrew said holding my shoulder.
"You guys are my best friend", I said and hugged Andrew. Daniel stood up and joined the hug.
I heard one of the workers scream loudly from downstairs.
Daniel Andrew and I hurried downstairs to see for ourselves what it was that made her scream.
"Wait what?!" My jaw dropped on sighting my nanny.
"Suzy?" I called out slowly in disbelief.
"Suzy?" I called again as I rushed into her arms.
I enjoyed her warm embrace as tears of joy ran down my cheeks.
"I... I missed you so so much Suzy", I said.
"I missed you more Hun", she replied wiping my tears.
The helper who stood there watching us shook her head and walked away excitedly.
"How dare you? How dare you leave me all alone in this big house, how dare you go away for so long and leave me all by myself?" I asked and hugged her again.
"I'm here now and I promise never to leave you again, never!" She replied and pushed me away gently.
"I have missed you so much, I have missed you so so much", I said and hugged her again.
"Let's go inside, I know it's late but I want to prepare something nice for you all to eat", Miss Suzy said.
"Talia", she called on the chef.
"Yes?" She replied walking towards us.
"Drop this on the marble in the kitchen, I'm making Chris's favourite tonight", she said to her handing some nylon bags to her.
The bags had been lying on the floor all the time we displayed those dramas.
Herself, myself, Daniel and Andrew followed after her as she walked upstairs.
Suzy stopped halfway through the steps.
"I don't understand why you guys are coming with me, I'd be right back I just want to freshen up and resume my duties", she said staring at us surprisingly.
"Oh! We are sorry", I said lightly and we all chuckled.
We returned to the sitting room and sat there chatting and laughing as if our whole lives depended on it.
I was having a good time that I almost forgot the trouble I and Avril got ourselves into.
"Why is it taking Suzy so long to freshen up?" Daniel asked.
"Are you really hungry cause I am not", I replied.
"Are you no... Oh! Here she comes", Daniel said excitedly.
"My boys are still here, let's retire to the kitchen and prepare something nice and delicious", Suzy said smiling.
"You kept us waiting, I almost thought you were giving birth", Daniel said feigning anger.
"Oh, my boys! I am so sorry for keeping you guys waiting", she apologized wearing a smile.
"It's fine, let's cook now", Daniel said.
"Seems like you are very hungry?" Suzy asked Daniel.
"He's just a glutton", Andrew teased.
"Hey!" Daniel punched Andrew.
"Make sure you don't taste that food after she cooks it", Daniel added.
"Is there a point? Why not let's cook tomorrow since it's already late today?" I asked staring at Daniel from the corner of my eyes.
"Since none of us is hungry", I added still staring at Daniel.
"Speak for yourself please, I am hungry. In fact, I haven't tasted anything since morning", Daniel lied.
"Liar!" Andrew and I exclaimed.
"Who said I am lying? Are you my stomach?" He asked.
"Didn't you eat pizza today? How about the noodles you had for lunch?" Andrew asked Daniel.
"What pizza? When did I eat noodles? Suzy don't mind them they are only jealous because I'd be eating your delicious meal without them", Daniel said while I and Andrew burst out in laughter.
"It's okay guys, I'd just make a little portion for Daniel since the both of you are not hungry", Suzy said.
"The both of both, please? It was only Chris that mentioned not being hungry please, I didn't so you are making the dish for me and Daniel", Andrew said.
"Andrew? So you are going to deny me because of food?" I asked Andrew pretending to be mad at him.
He winked at me and crossed his legs without uttering a word, he was sitting on a couch opposite me while Daniel sat beside him.
"Models don't eat late at night unless you want to ruin your packs and body build", Andrew said turning to Andrew.
"Besides she already agreed to make food for only me", he added.
Andrew had this very good-looking physique that every girl would kill for, I must admit his body build is so cute even better than mine.
"I think I'm hungry now", I said and others burst out in laughter.
"Someone said he wasn't hungry today", Daniel teased and I bowed my head.
"Okay guys enough of the arguments guys, let's go and prepare something before it gets darker", Suzy said and we all stood up and followed after her as she walked into the kitchen.
I sat on the marble watching her prepare stuff single-handedly while Daniel and Andrew stood in front of me as we talked about different topics.
"Let me help you chop those onions", Andrew said taking a plate with two balls of onions in it.
"Thanks", she replied as she handed the plate over to him.
Tears skipped through Daniels's eyes drop after drop as he chopped the onions. Andrew, Suzy and I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the funny sight in front of us.
I was having so much fun and again I remembered that I still haven't settled the issue with Avril... 'How do we get out of this mess?' I thought.
My heart skipped at the thought of it.

AVRIL
Jumai held my hands tightly staring straight into my eyeballs.
"What do you want?" She asked again.
I stared at Jumai undecided whether or not to ask for what I wanted. I really didn't want to sound like an enemy of progress but I wanted to be sincere about what I feel right now.
"Avril, you don't have to snub me completely, tell me what it is you want and I'd grant it if I can", I said.
"Will you do what I ask?" I asked Jumai and she didn't utter a word, she just stared at me like an alien.
I sighed deeply still staring at her eyeballs to eyeballs.
I wiped my nose and face with the back of my palm.
"Will you?" I repeated the question looking fiercely into Jumai's face.. she hesitated for a while before nodding gently, if only she knows what I was going to ask for.
