Chapter 17
Ally's POV
I got up to open the door and two tall, strong males were waiting outside with their arms folded. The man on the left saw me open the door for him, and his face immediately took on a serious expression.
The man on the left looked up and spent a minute sizing me up before he spoke to me and asked, "You are Dr. Ally, aren't you?"
I nodded my head in confusion, "Yes. May I ask who you are?"
The man on the left took a black wallet out of his pocket and he unfolded it towards me. Inside was a clear photo ID with the emblem representing the Wind Pack Guards Division printed on the title page.
"You're Beta?" I asked, puzzled. "I don't think I've broken any laws."
The two men didn't answer my query; a sneer lifted the corners of their mouths.
They casually collected their papers and were ready to walk up and try to handcuff my hands.
I deftly dodged, then took two steps back to hide behind the men. "Without evidence, what right do you have to arrest people!" I argued loudly.
Perhaps the commotion at the door was so loud that a family next door even stuck their heads out of the window and peered at us.
Tyler had already dressed and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around me and then used his body to block the line of sight between me and the two Betas.
Tyler patted me gently, then whispered reassuringly in my ear, saying, "It's okay, I'm here if anything goes wrong."
I shook my head at him and said, "I'm fine, it's just that these people are so rude!"
Tyler's face flushed with displeasure, his brow furrowed deeply, and his good-looking lips pursed together. I knew that the two Beta's attempt to violently drag me had upset Tyler.
"Don't go too far, just ask them why they're doing this."
I tugged on Tyler's sleeve and I was a little worried that Tyler might do something out of the ordinary to them. I didn't really want to invite conflict right now, because I was enjoying the peace and quiet of my life right now.
Tyler approached the Beta's slowly, Tyler's body exuding a deathly aura. tyler sank his voice, a little annoyed but still sensible, and asked, "Gentlemen, I need to know who you are."
The Beta's rubbed their noses awkwardly, "I'm sorry, sir. We just thought Dr. Ally was the only one here." They lowered their heads and then looked around my house as they tried to avoid Tyler's eyes by doing so.
"I don't think that's an excuse for you guys to try to violently drag a soft lady." Tyler shook his head solemnly.
Tyler reached out to their chest and just when I thought Tyler was going to give them a good punch in the chest, Tyler stopped. Then Tyler pulled out their IDs from their chests that represented their identities.
"Are you Beta's from Wind Pack?" asked Tyler.
"Yes."
"What is the purpose of your visit here?" Tyler casually tossed the IDs back into the Beta's arms. The Beta on the left tried to lash out, but was stopped by his companion.
"Sir, may I ask if you know Amy Brown as well as John Brown?"
"Amy and John are our friends. We just met yesterday." I answered him.
"Very well. What time did you meet with them last night?"
"Around 9:30 p.m. or so. Ally and I went to sit at their house for a while and we had a very nice chat. and Amy treated us to carrot juice made from their own carrots." Tyler said.
Beta nodded and smiled at us, "That's it, Miss Amy and Mr. John were found dead in their garden this morning. The time of death has been deduced to be around 9:30 to 10:00 p.m."
My eyes widened, I couldn't believe what Beta was saying, I said in a loud voice: "Amy is dead?"
Tyler was taken aback by me, and he was shocked at my violent reaction. "Calm down, Ally."
My sanity was almost completely destroyed by the news, "This can't be, Amy was telling us last night that she was going to buy a cart. and Amy said she was going to give me the blooming flowers herself!"
Amy was my best friend at Wind Pack. I couldn't accept her sudden death. But now, it looked like there was more to it than just death.
"So you suspect that Ally killed Amy and John?" said Tyler. He looked at me with a look of disbelief in his eyes.
He and I should have been thinking the same thing; we were both convinced of each other's innocence. But the situation now simply seemed like a mystery.
Beta shrugged his shoulders, a smug and sly look appearing on his face.
"Both Miss Amy and the neighbors in Mr. john's neighborhood saw you enter Mr. John's house at about 9:30. No one else has been inside since you left. I think we have reason to suspect you, Miss Ally. And you, Mr. Tyler."
I wanted to argue, but I had no good reason to. Tyler and I were indeed talking to Amy at about 9:30 p.m. There was no denying that.
But I couldn't find any evidence to prove my innocence with Tyler.
"Now I think I should arrest the suspect, Mr. Tyler." Beta grinned badly and held out his hand to me. His face was filled with cringe-inducing lewdness.
I was still so wrapped up in the immense grief and shock of Amy's death that I didn't even notice this awful guy's outstretched, filthy hand towards me.
A dark shadow skipped in front of me, and the next thing I knew I was locked into Tyler's arms.
Beta let out a cry of pain, "Oh my God! My hand is broken!" His wrist twisted into a strange arc, like a withered tree root.
Tyler's eyes radiated a glare that could almost kill, but in fact he had done so, and Beta grasped his wrist in agony as a white bone plunged straight out from among the skin.
"I was going to kill you, but I didn't want your blood on Ally's dress." Tyler said slowly. His hand covered my hair, then grabbed a strand and played with it casually.
I looked up at him, and I looked at him a little reproachfully. a reluctant look crossed Tyler's face.
"Well, go back and tell your leaders. We won't let you arrest us until we find conclusive and proof."
I calmly told the other Beta, who had long been stunned by what Tyler had done.
"Okay, sir. I will tell our leader as you said." He said as he stepped back in fear. By the time he reached the gate to my garden, he immediately ran away.
Tyler took my hand and walked into the house and I asked him with some concern.
"What are we going to do? All the evidence now points to us killing Amy and John."
"Obviously, we've been wrongly accused." Tyler handed me a quart of soda and reassured me, "Don't worry too much, I'll figure it out."
I believed Tyler's promise to me, but I still felt sad about Amy's death. "Poor Amy, and John," my heart began to grow painful again, and I had to face this harsh reality.
"The only way we can find their killer is to be strong." Tyler said to me gently.
Tyler got dressed and then walked over to the front door. Puzzled, I asked him, "Why are you going out now? Did you find something good?"
Tyler left a kiss on my forehead, then stared into my eyes and said, "Trust me, I have a way to keep them from hurting you."
I called out to him, "Stop." Puzzled, I asked, "What can you do? You're not strong enough to take on the entire Wind Pack leadership."
I frowned as I tried to figure out what the hell Tyler was up to.
Tyler shook his head and then smiled at me with a smile I couldn't understand. tyler wrapped a thick blanket around me and then walked quickly out the door.
Tyler's POV
I left Ally until I could make sure she couldn't see my back. Then putting on my mask to hide my face, I prepared to go to the Blackout Pack office in Wind Pack, where I had my solution.
But I couldn't tell Ally about this, I needed to hide my identity from her until Ally voluntarily returned to the Wind Pack with me, and I couldn't easily reveal my true identity until I had taken care of the task my father had given me.
I could see from a distance that the entrance to the office was tightly covered by a sharp, barbed wire fence. I had no way to enter through the gate, so I had to take a small gate at the back.
I walked through the gate and met my good buddy, Tyler, who called out to me happily and then gave me a close hug. "Bro, it's been a long time!"
"Yeah!"
"Did you finish your mission and come back? I haven't heard from you for a long time, and it made us all worried!"
I shook my head, "Things are very complicated, and there is no way for me to say it clearly in a very short time. I've run into a problem right now."
Tyler frowned, then looked at me worriedly and asked, "If I can help, I'll do my best to help you out."
I nodded my head and expressed my gratitude to Tyler. I told Tyler what I had encountered about Amy and Tyler thought hard about it. He was silent for a moment and said to me, "Ronald, you know this sounds tricky."
"Yes, I need you to do what I've asked you to do as fast as you can. " I patted Tyler's shoulder trustingly.
I told Tyler to go communicate with the Wind Pack leadership and ask them not to make an arrest on Ally as the Alpha of the Blackout Pack. And give Ally the power to walk freely. That way Ally and I would have plenty of time and freedom to investigate the cause of Amy and John's deaths.
Tyler immediately went to solve this problem, after almost an hour or so, he came back with a hard face and said to me: "Ronald, they said they can only give you a week.
And Wind Pack senior leadership is very tough, they even threatened us with water and food supplies. "
Tyler took a hard breath as he continued.
"But they agreed not to restrict Miss Ally's and your personal freedom."
I nodded, "Okay, I get it."
Although the attitude of Wind Pack's leadership was very unpleasant, it was something I expected. Out of consideration for the Blackout Pack, I decided to accept this condition.
