Chapter 26

Ronald's pov
I nodded to him. "Give him the money."
Tyler had to pull out a black bag and give the man the entire bag of money.
The man took it curtly and hurriedly opened it to see.
"Jesus!" The man exclaimed. A whole bag of solid gold coins glittered inside the black bag.
Satisfied, the man took the money into his arms and bid us farewell.
"Come on, lords! This beautiful slave belongs to you now!"
This is the rule of the black market, pay with one hand and deliver with the other. After both parties were satisfied, they immediately separated.
This is to prevent the inspecting guards from coming over to patrol and causing irreparable consequences to the sale transaction.
The girl looked up from my chest, and she carefully surveyed me with her lake blue eyes.
"Thank you, sir!" She spoke breathlessly, weakly as if she might die at any moment.
"Your name is Charlotte?" I asked.
"Mmm." She made a kitten-like sound.
"Tyler? Take the girl home." I tried to hand the girl over to Tyler, but Charlotte tugged firmly on my lapel.
"Don't leave me behind, sir. Please." Charlotte looked at me with pitiful, begging eyes.
Her eyes were shining from the tears she had stored. "I won't leave you." I said.
I sighed as I lost myself in her lake blue pupils. "Okay, forget it, Tyler."
"Don't you need me to help you? Or can't you give up the little guy?"
Tyler teased me as he raised an eyebrow and said.
"Shut up. I think we should go back."

  Thomas's pov
"We've made a lot of money this time!" I said. I turned the bag of money upside down in my hand and returned to the wagon with glee.
"It's time for us to go back."
"How were you able to determine that those two men were the ones we were waiting for?" My men asked me.
"Did you see the man with the black hair?" I asked him.
"I saw it, why?" 1
"Dumbass, that's the Alpha heir to the Black Pack. "
Ronald's pov
Inside the Alpha of the Blackout Pack's quarters.
I put Charlotte on the couch and she cowered by the pillow like a stray kitten. I looked at the helpless her and a wave of memories came over me.
When I was injured, Ally must have rescued herself in the same way.
"Tyler, bring me a hot towel. Also some medicine." I barked at Tyler.
"Okay." Soon, Tyler walked in with a tray of medication. "Ronald?" Tyler tried to say something, but he hesitantly turned his head.
"What are you trying to say, Tyler?" I asked.
"I shouldn't be so nice to her, should I?" I said with a smile.
"I think that's your freedom, Ronald," said Tyler, handing me the iodine and swab.
"I have my reasons, believe me. Besides, Charlotte is a slave we paid a whole bag of gold coins for, and I don't really want to waste her resources."
I replied to Tyler as I tended to Charlotte's wounds.
"Whatever you do, I will support you unconditionally." Tyler said.
"So where are you going to let Charlotte live? Live with the other slaves?" Tyler asked.
"Word has gotten around the pack today that you brought Charlottes back. Even your father is asking me who Charlotte really is. How he could have made such a difference to you."
"I will explain to my father. As for Charlotte, I'm letting her stay with me for now. She's staying in this room."
I looked at Tyler in silence, and Tyler's lips quirked up and down; he didn't look supportive of the decision. But eventually he nodded his head.
"All right, Ronald."
Tyler left, and I looked at Charlotte lying on the bed. although her eyes weren't open at all, her eyelashes kept flickering up and down. It was a sign of pretending to be asleep.
"If you're not asleep, wake up now." I clasped my arms and sat by the window to watch her next reaction.
Chralotte didn't react much at first; she was still asleep with her eyes closed.
"Well, don't you go on pretending. If you don't respond to me again, I'll have someone come in and throw you inside the barn."
I noticed Charlotte's fists gradually clenching harder together as I stated these words.
"You must know that slaves are supposed to live in the filthiest of places. It is the luckiest thing for you that I can allow you to sleep with me."
I said this deliberately, these words may stimulate Charlotte, I think I this behavior, like a deliberately angry mother of a small child.
I think Charlotte should have been fully awake by now. But why didn't she want to wake up? This makes me feel a little confused.
If it was any other woman in front of me now, even if she was an Alpha heiress, I wouldn't have so much patience with her.
From the first moment I saw Charlotte on the black market, she gave me a very familiar feeling. If I had missed her, or let her out of my sight. My heart would be tugged hard.
I only face Ally when I care so much about a person. But Charlottes is clearly not nearly the same as Ally.
I don't understand why I have such special feelings for Charlotte, maybe it's because my rut is approaching. I thought aimlessly.
Maybe I should find a woman to get my excess lust out, like I did before. I thought of Ally's soft body, and it made my throat start to get dry.
But Ally wasn't with me right now, so maybe Charlotte would be a good choice for me right now.
"Is it right for you to threaten a patient with a mean tone and words like that? Or are all the Alpha heirs of the Darkness Pack as rude as you are?"
Charlotte opened her eyes and the corners of her mouth curved up slightly in a small curve. I always felt like I had heard that tone somewhere.
What Charlotte said to me was not polite at all, and even offensive to me me. But I wasn't in a position to know why, and there wasn't a trace of anger inside me.
"You are a slave that I paid a lot of money for, and you can't even leave my sight without my permission."
My heart suddenly had more than a little mischief in it, and I was suddenly curious to know what it would be like to anger this funny little slave.
"If it wasn't for me, you would probably have died at the hands of that man, you know?" I said to her.
"You mean Thomas, he's just a stupid kidnapper leader." Charlotte hugged her arms and leaned back on the bed.
"But at that point, you looked like you almost got killed by him." I tried to make her understand that I had saved her. Without me, she would have been nothing more than a weak girl.
Charlotte didn't answer what I said, she was fixing her hair. The tattered clothes she was wearing made her look even thinner.
"Do you know what kind of identity I am?" I asked her smugly. The average person hearing this would be very interested in my question.
I can already imagine how surprised her face was after she heard my identity.
"I don't care, and I don't want to know." Charlotte replied.
Charlotte turned her head to the side, she looked like she wasn't interested in my topic at all.
I lowered my voice and explained to Charlotte in a serious manner, "I am the heir to the Alpha of the Dark Pack."
I stared at the side of Charlotte's face, but Charlotte's face didn't have the expression I was expecting. I thought she didn't hear what I said, and I had raised my voice and repeated it.
"Oh, I see." Charlotte answered me sullenly.
The way Charlotte treated me at the black market was flattering and ingratiating. But Charlotte now feels like she's done using me and is about to cast me aside.
I realized that I was treating her too begrudgingly, and that no one had ever spoken to me in such a cold tone.
A ball of anger flared up inside me and I let out a cold laugh. I said to Charlotte, "You will know what happens when you talk to me in that tone of voice!"
I angrily left Charlotte's side, probably because I moved too much, and the wound on her arm repeatedly broke open.
"Damn!" I heard Charlotte suck in a cold breath and then let out a small gasp. "I knew damn Thomas was going to give me a lot of trouble!"
I strolled around the room pretending to be relaxed and reentered Charlotte's presence. I held out my hand and said to Charlotte, "If you'd like, I think I'd be happy to hand you this ointment for your scars, if you'd just beg me to put it on you."
"I don't think that will be necessary, what I need most right now is quiet rest." Charlotte said calmly.
In between conversations, charoltte tore two barely clean strips of cloth from her tattered white dress, and then neatly wrapped the wound on her arm in the cloth.
I was surprised at how skilled Charlotte was at dressing wounds, so perhaps this was not her first injury.
I suddenly had a strange feeling for her, it was like a natural attraction, I wanted to take care of her. I hurriedly made myself stop this terrible thought.
"Because her eyes are the same color as Ally's, and I just miss Ally so much. That's why I'm having weird feelings for Charlotte."
I convinced myself with this lame excuse that I was trying to do so.
"Well, then you get some rest. If you need anything, you can just ring this bell by your side and someone will come to help you first."
I said to Charlotte. But Charlotte didn't seem to want to continue the conversation with me. I thought it was because her wounds were so painful that she didn't have the strength to communicate with me.
"We'll talk tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Because I have a lot of things I need to know from you."
I explained to Charlotte.
Charlotte was sleeping just a screen away from me, which, of course, I had arranged.
"Good night." Charlotte's voice came from under the covers, and she didn't sound too good.
Of course. No one has a strong heart like Ally, and Ally is unique in the world. I kept cautioning myself not to hold too much curiosity about Charlotte.
"You just need to get enough information from Charlotte that you want."
I said to myself silently in my mind. This night, I can't rest very well. charlotte always makes me think of everything about Ally.
Everything related to Ally can easily cause me to have mood swings. I think I have to know everything about this Charlotte.
