CHAPTER 41: MY GIRL
~ Gabriel’s POV ~

A figure walked in front of the cell doors followed by three more. I growled at them. I noticed one was holding chains! Fuck no! I ran across the cell too quick for them to know what was happening. Reaching through the bars. I grabbed one guy by his neck and pulled him forward toward me. His head had no other option but to collide with my cell bars. I smiled as his skull busted open spraying blood all over his pitiful friends. I moved to another guy. He couldn’t keep up with my movements quick enough to respond to what I was doing. I shoved my fingers in his mouth quickly jerking his bottom jaw causing his mouth to open wide. Using my other hand, I used the piece of metal I broke off the bed frame and shoved it down his neck. He didn’t die right away. He flailed around, gargled a little. The other two guys had stepped back away from the bars realizing their friend's mistake. They looked scared shitless. That’s what I want. They better know that I won't sit here like a good little wolf. One of them positioned himself in front of the bars and pulled out some type of gun. Is he going to shoot me?
“Coward! Don't be such a little bitch! Come in here and face me head on. I’ll even let you bring your gun.” I gave him a bitter grin. He fired the gun, and something penetrated my leg. I looked down. A fucking dart! The weaklings shot me with a dart, then waited for a while to make sure that whatever they injected me with was working. I started feeling wobbly headed. Knowing I could still fight, I sat down against the stone wall and laid my head back with my eyes shut. I heard my cell door unlock and slowly start to slide open. Good, they were taking the bait. If they want me chained, they will have to sacrifice more warriors to do it. I listened for their footsteps, making sure both men were in my cell. They started talking.
“Did you see how quick he took out Jake and then Tyler? I didn’t even see it happen!” Warrior 1 exclaimed.
“Yeah, I wouldn’t want to face him. I didn’t even jump in the circle last night in the middle of the road. He killed dozens of our warriors. Vince took his bike. I thought about getting it but decided not to. If this guy gets away, I wouldn’t want to be the wolf caught with it.” Warrior 2 said.
“Slaughter the poor excuses of wolves. What in the hell was Selene thinking? She should have given them a stupid animal to shift into, like a tapir or something.” Mika laughed at himself. He spoke of the moon goddess as if he were close to her.
“Mika what the hell is a tapir?” I asked just a little curious as to why he would pick that animal.
“It's one of those pig looking things with a dick for a nose. I was thinking that it would be convenient for them. They already had their human noses up Thane’s ass.” I choked, almost blowing my cover. “Google it!” Mika yelled, right before I shut him out or I was going to be caught before I had a chance to kill these guys.
“I don’t know, it would depend on what the fight was about for me. Didn’t you see that hot little piece they were fighting over? Harper was her name. I didn’t understand what all the fuss was over, but I do now. I would get in line for that. Maybe when Alpha Thane is done with her, he will let some of us take a ride.” Warrior 1 replied back. That was it for me!

No one talks about Harper that way and lets me find out about it. The so-called warriors were right up on me. I opened my eyes and slowly stood up. They didn’t even notice me moving until I was already standing straight up. They didn’t move, because they knew I would catch them before they made it to the cell door. I grinned and gave an evil chuckle. My eyes were glowing amber, my claws were extended, my fangs extended. I lingered a minute, savoring the fear that was rolling off of them. I calmly circled them like a predator stalking its prey. I have to ask a question before I kill them.
“Which one of you wants to get in line to take my girl for a ride?” I said calmly. They both pointed at each other. “What are your names!” I shouted.
“Sid,” said warrior 1, still shaking.
“Pete” said warrior 2 quickly after. Great, this damn injection is working really well on me now. I have to move fast. Based on their voices, it was easy for me to tell which low life was the pervert.

I quickly launched myself at Sid. I plunged my hand deep in the left side of his chest, grabbing his beating heart. His wide eyes told me he knew he was going to die. I wasn’t sparing any of these mutts around here. Anyone who willingly follows Thane will die! I pulled my hand out of his chest still holding his heart. He saw it in my hand before his face paled and he fell to the floor. I looked at Pete. This one I will really enjoy.
“Dead weight.” I laughed looking at Sid. “So, Pete. I agree my girl is a hot little piece.” He laughed and agreed with me nervously rubbing the back of his neck. I picked up the chains they intended to use on me and circled him. He started shuffling from one foot to the other. He looked toward the exit, but I was in his way. I calmly walked up to Pete and whispered to him. “Get on your knees Pete.” He started to beg.
“Alpha Gabriel, please spare me. I’ll join you. I’ll help you escape! I would have never touched your girl. She’s yours!” He cried to me. I tied his feet to his hands together, causing his back to arch while he was still on his knees. He was moaning in pain.
“Any man, wolf, or monster who dares to cause harm to Harper will die. This includes your pathetic excuse of an alpha.” I said grinning at him. I used both of my hands and forced his lower jaw from his upper jaw, pulling his mouth apart slowly. I never stopped when his jaw seemed to reach its limit, I kept going. Pete started screaming, which is why I decided to kill him this way. I kept separating until I felt his jaw start to give, then I quickly snapped it separating his jaw bones. A gush of blood started flowing onto the floor as I severed his carotid artery causing death to come fast.

After killing Pete, I was almost at my limit. My body was giving into the drug. I could have tried to run while the cell doors were open, but there is no way that I would have had time Even if I had killed Sid and Pete quickly, I would have had to fight my way through an entire packhouse, leaving no time to rescue Harper before sleep took me. And I am not leaving without her. My knees weakened, and I sat down on the floor. I heard footsteps coming down the hallway.
“They should have him already chained up by now. Wait! Do you smell that? It's blood!” The guards ran to my cell. “Holy shit!” My eyes finally shut and the voices and sounds around me muffled as everything went dark.


~ Harper’s POV~
I thought Thane was going to kill me after he shifted, but he didn’t want to kill me, he wanted to keep me as his plaything. I tried to stay as far away from him as possible. Somehow Thane was able to speak in his demon wolf form.
“I will not accept this behavior from you!” He roared out at me. Regardless of how hard I tried to stay away from him, it was impossible. I felt the heat from his breath, and the saliva from his mouth as he spoke. “I can have any she wolf I want, and I choose you.” Oh, lucky me, I thought sarcastically. I didn’t voice my opinion. “Look at me when I am talking to you, she wolf!” He yelled at me again. The volume of his voice caused me to wince. He moved and was in front of me before I could react. His monstrous paw shot toward me and grabbed me by my neck. I was choking and gasping for breath. He leaned down, getting in my face. His lip was pulling over his teeth as he gave a low angry growl. The heat from this monster was too much to bare. He spoke to me again. This time he didn’t yell but was still aggressive in the way he spoke to me. “You will submit to me, Harper. You will be my mate. Tomorrow, I will sink my fangs deep in your little neck, and then I will claim all of you!”

He let my neck go. I gasped for air, as my lungs felt like they were collapsing from lack of oxygen. He grinned at me.
“If you refuse to comply or you make it unenjoyable for me. I will kill the vermin whom you ran to.” He stopped and gave me a dark and seductive grin. “If he’s lucky I may let him watch as I take you in front of him.” His chest rumbled as he seemed to enjoy his sick ideas. I finally spoke to him. I couldn’t let Gabriel go through that. I had to do something.
“Alpha Thane, there’s no need for that. I will give you what you want. Please, just leave Gabriel alone. Let him go.” I begged him. He grinned at me. His wolf started to withdraw. Soon, Thane was a man again. His clothes were barely hanging from his body. He looked at me with his deep red eyes. I couldn’t read his facial features. It was a mixture between, want, anger, eagerness, and evil. He brought his mouth to my ear, letting his lips move ever so lightly. Shivers ran through my body, not the good kind.
“That’s right, you will give me what I want. Your vermin, however, is not leaving this packhouse unless he is dead. If you behave yourself, I will let him live.” Now I am shaking, nothing scares me more than losing Gabriel. Thane knows that. The tears finally fell from my face.
