Chapter 10 Cara

"Micah and Dante are on it." Lucas, third in command, best manipulative lawyer of Nostras, Silvio's one of trusted man said as Silvio took right on street, moving towards outskirts of city. "They got there before anyone could stumbled upon the alley."
"Good." Silvio said with authoritive voice, his phone pressed against his ear, as his one hand tightened around curve of steering wheel. Silvio hung up as he glanced at Sadie, sitting beside him, strangely silent and deathly pale.
Silvio sighed, taking few deep breaths to calm himself. She dared to ran away! From me! Words were repeating in his mind and he tried not to panic the girl, sitting next to him, more panicked.
Silvio was glad nothing happened to her, he was glad that he was following her in his car, and he was relieved to know he was there when those two bloody motherfuckers attacked her.
He sighed.
He shouldn't had killed them, not in front of her. He gave them easy death. He should had tied them up back in one of his werehouses and slowly pluck their nails out and nailing them to walls as he would had skinned them alive. But what he could do, they were threatening her with knives and he lost it.
It was a easy death, just two gunshots.
He groaned.
Sadie didn't looked anywhere but at her hands, joined together in her lap, as her mind went through shock of what had happened, and what was going to happen. She was oblivious of her surroundings, didn't knew where he was taking her. Only three words pasted on her like a tattoo.
He killed them.
Mercilessly.
And it didn't took him long to disarm them and shot them in cold blood.
She shivered.
Silvio noticed her body trembling and cursed under his breath. He knew he shouldn't had acted on impulse, he should had threatened them first or maybe something else. He took another sharp turn as he stopped near far end of road.
Silvio glanced at Sadie who was still oblivious to their arrival. Silvio opened his side of door and walked towards hers. He opened her door and took her hand in his, her fingers felt icy cold in his grip, she was still in shock. Sadie felt warm fingers wrapping around her hand as she jolted but stilled as she realised if he wanted to kill her, no one could be able to save her.
"Where are we?" She asked hoarsely, her voice stiffed, and laced with underlying fear of his actions.
Silvio pulled her out gently.
"Come. I'll tell you." He said with deep voice. He walked towards edgy corners of road as he entered the forest with green tall trees standing tall like fortresses.
Sadie gulped.
Maybe this was her time to die.
But she didn't protested, she knew if she ran, he would catch her easily, and looking at his size, he wouldn't go easy on her if he would catch her.
She let him led them towards dark forest as her nerves palpilated, her mind panicked and her breathing shortened.
Silvio felt slight resistant in her walk but kept dragging her towards end when bright white lights shone in front of them. Sadie looked in awe at small two story cottage made with transparent glass in shape of semicircle, in front of her. She didn't knew if she should compliment the design or admire the large crystalline lake in front of house.
The view was serene unlike the man holding her hand.
On other hand, Silvio was starring at Sadie as her eyes roamed over scenery in front of her. Silvio didn't knew why he brought her here, a place where no one had ever come, not even Micah or Dante, it was for his privacy, for time whenever he wanted tranquility, stillness.
His grey eyes caressed every feature on Sadie's face as he analysed how beautiful she looked under natural moonlight.
"A-Are you going to kill me...here?" Sadie's scared, traumatised voice fell into his ears as he rose his brows, glaring down at her.
Her words stirred something raw inside him.
His hold unknowingly tightened around her hand as he said darkly.
"If I wanted you dead, you would've been dead by now." His words made her looked up at him with furrowed brows.
"You're not going to kill me?" She asked hesitantly. Silvio's jaw twitched.
"I didn't bought you here to kill you." Silvio said looking straight, towards the house and took long strides towards it, almost dragging Sadie with him. He didn't understood why Sadie's words were angering him.
Sadie looked perplexed at him and again swallowed hard.
If he don't want to kill me, then why did he brought me here? New fear engulfed her.
"Don't make me drag you." Silvio said without looking at her as her body tensed. Sadie without looking at him understood that if she tried to run away, he would catch her before she could take a step.
And however, what were the chances of her getting away? Nil! Silvio was a man in his prime, with huge body and with his tall height, she somehow knew he was twice her weight.
She breathed out shakingly.
She didn't realised that Silvio had stopped, and her front hit his back as she stumbled backwards.
"Easy." Silvio's strong arms steadied her as she quickly stood balanced mumbling a sorry. Silvio looked down at woman, pondering if he should really take her in.
His heart won the battle that his mind had lost long ago.
"Come in." He muttered opening the door, made with opaque glass like material, in rectangular shape. She swallowed as she stepped inside, behind him.
If the exterior was beautiful then the insides were mind-blowing. The house looked like it was all glass and marble with tint of metal and wood, which was only used for furniture that stood elegantly on marbled, white, shiny floor.
Trauma of murders left her for a moment as she analysed her surroundings. Modernization was screaming and luxury was waving at her.
"Welcome back, Master Salvatore." She jumped as a man, probably in his late forties, stood in front of them.
She wondered if this man was present earlier?
"Alfredo." She heard as Silvio nodded at man.
"Prepare dinner. I'll eat here tonight," Silvio said looking over his shoulder at Sadie, as her expressions tensed. "With her."
Sadie tried not to panic.
Dinner with man who murdered two men in front of me!
She calmed her heart. Maybe if I would manage to get home alive tonight, I will never cross his path. She prayed and prayed, in her heart to let this night pass like a miracle.
Silvio caught nervousness and scarcely panic on her face as he pulled her towards him. She gasped as she almost landed against his chest.
She looked up when his grey eyes stared down at her with intensity she was unfamiliar with. She waited for him to take his eyes off her but his gaze pinned her, making her nervous and she ended up lowering her eyes.
"You want to freshen up?" Silvio asked with strain in his voice as he observed her. She instantly looked up thoughtfully and slowly nodded.
"Come. I'll show you bathroom." He said, leading her towards left. She stared in awe as they crossed long and narrowed glass stairs and took one left.
"Here. You can use it." He said leaving her hand, which was all sweaty with the grip he had on her and she sighed in relief.
She immediately rushed to room Silvio at and locked the door. Silvio stood there, staring at locked door. She needs privacy. He reminded himself and pulled out his phone from his pocket as it rang.
He let out a frustrated sigh as Miranda's name popped up on screen. He had been avoiding her since last few weeks, since he laid his eyes on girl in the bathroom, and she was becoming a pain in ass.
"What?" He grumbled, placing the phone against his ear, as his other ear heard the sound of water running.
"Where are you?" Miranda asked suspiciously. Silvio groaned as he ran his hand through his hairs.
"How many times do I need to remind you, I don't answer to you!" He said anger slowly gripping him. Miranda silenced for a moment as she said.
"I just-"
"Don't call me back." He said frustrated as he hung up and slided his phone back in his pocket. His ears twitched as he heard water still running.
Was she taking a shower? He thought.
Why is she taking so long?
He took a step towards door as he knocked. "Sadie.."
There was no answer, complete silence and sound of water running. His brows narrowed as he went for handle and twisted it.
It was locked.
He took a calming breath and said in a softer voice. "Cara, I know you're upset, probably traumatised but if you don't open the door, I'll have no choice but to break it." He knew his words were threatening but what he could do, that's all he knew.
The water turned off but door remained closed. His anger was slowly rising.
"Sadie, I'm giving you five seconds to open the door. Five, four.."
The lock clicked.
"I-I'm sorry. I-" Sadie stammered as she met with wild grey eyes of her stalker, the man who was traumatising her.
"Food is ready. Come." He knew if he would spend one more second looking at her with anger, he would probably regret his actions later.
Sadie followed him but this time her mind went back to emergency call she tried to make but the network was poor.
Silvio led her to dining area, where a small round table was placed, covered with white silk sheet with silverware for two people positioned neatly.
"My visit was unannounced here, so Alfredo didn't had much time to prepare varieties." Silvio said leading her towards table.
She looked confused at him for second when her eyes landed on table. A large bowl was filled with pasta with grilled cheese dripping all over, another was capsicum cheese with chili's garnished on top and last bowl was filled with mashed potatoes with lasagna.
Varieties? This food could go for days!
She screamed inwardly and sat as Silvio sat opposite chair.
Alfredo served them food as Sadie hesitantly took bite of pasta. She wasn't hungry, though she hadn't eaten anything due to constant meetings and operations. She held back a moan as soft texture of pasta caressed her tongue. It was delicious.
"So, tell me about yourself, Sadie." Silvio Salvatore said with depth in his voice, watching Sadie eating, though he still hadn't touched his food yet.
Silvio's intense gaze pinned her as she panicked. She hardly swallowed the bite when Silvio leaned back on his seat, crossing his arms over his chest and stared at her.
"W-what you wanna know?" She said hiding the tremble in her voice. She was sure he already knew everything about her but only was playing with her.
Silvio tilted his head slightly with a small smile on his lips.
"About your ex-boyfriends or probably boyfriend." Silvio's deep voice engulfed her. She instantly looked up at him and caught his eyes on her. She inwardly panicked.
"I don't have any." She lied. She had a boyfriend when she was in college and when things turned wild between them, she left him.
But why was he asking this?
"You better." Silvio's tone changed from amusement to dark in seconds. Thinking of Sadie with any other man than him, made him want to emptying his gun in his head.
Sadie gulped before taking another bite. Eating suddenly become difficult as she tried to swallow the creamy pasta.
Sadie looked down at her plate, almost emptied, took a deep breath. She felt so anxious and scared at that time.
When her plate was completely empty, she looked up at Alfredo who was standing beside them with hands crossed over his front, and gave him a small smile.
"Thank you for dinner. It was delicious." Silvio watched her, completely captured by curve of her lips, it was first she had smiled in his presence and it felt refreshing to him. Sadie caught his intense gaze and immediately panicked, did she said something she wasn't supposed to say?
Her cheeks flushed when Silvio's eyes lowered on her lips. He was a murderer, a killer but after all that he was a man, undeniably beautiful man, and she couldn't help but feel attracted to his rough features and hard body.
"Can you...can you take me home?" Sadie asked avoiding his eyes, which were shamelessly raking her. She was enough calmed down now and now she wanted to go home.
"Of course..." Silvio said looking at her lips.
Sadie swallowed as she tried to find her words.
Her heart almost skipped a beat when Silvio pushed this chair back and stood up. Sadie followed his actions and waited for him to move. Silvio's intense gaze was still on her as he extended his hand towards her. Sadie looked strangely at his hand and nervously placed her right hand on his left.
Silvio looked at her for a second as warmness of their joined hands slowly caressed his body with unfamiliar warmth. He turned around, with her following him, and started walking towards the door.
Silvio walked Sadie outside and took her where his car was parked. The night was young, and the chilly wind was gently caressing Sadie's arms. She shivered slightly from the cool chill of the wind when she felt something warm deal on her shoulders.
Glancing over her shoulder, she saw Silvio draping his suit jacket over her shoulders.
"T-Thnak you." She said barely audible, as Silvio gave her a nod.
Silvio opened the car door for her. "Get in."
Sadie looked at him for a second before she sat in his car. Pulling his jacket tight over her shoulders and dropped her purse on her lap. Silvio got in on other side and reached around to grab her seatbelt before he buckled her in. He pulled back and caught the look of confusion on Sadie's face.
"What?" He asked.
Sadie shook her head.
Silvio chuckled lowly at Sadie's embarrassing face, which was flushed and started the car. After pulling at the road, Silvio took off towards her home.
The drive was relatively silent, thickening by tension between them. She stared at his hand every time he changed gear and wondered if he was always this muscular. Her body jolted as Silvio parked his car right in front of her building. She wasn't surprised to know that he knew her address.
Silvio hoped put of the car and walked to the other side to let her out. He pulled her out of the car and escorted her to the building. Sadie was glad that she made it home safe and sound but her relief vanished as Silvio followed her inside her building.
Reaching on her floor level, she turned her back on her door and stared at Silvio.
"You can go." She said finally.
"What? Won't you invite me in?" Sadie swallowed hard once she realised he wasn't leaving.
"Look, I don't know who you are or what you do but please whatever games you're trying to play with me, quit it-"
"Ah-Ah," Silvio held her gaze and took a step towards her. "That's where you're wrong, Dr. Quintin."
They both held each other's gaze for a lingering moment before Sadie snapped out of it and shrugged his jacket off her shoulders. "Please, leave." She said handing it to him.
Silvio looked at the jacket before he looked at her. Losing the battle, he grabbed her hand and pulled her forward until her body crashed against him and his lips slammed into hers.
Sadie found herself shocked, eyes widened, for a moment when his arms wrapped around her, pulling her flushed against him. His mouth hungrily against hers as if he was trying to devour her.
Her shock slowly turned into something else as her body started to melt on its own. She knew it wasn't right but her body knew no limit.
"Silvio.." She breathed out as she tried to push him back.
"I'll be back, Cara.." He groaned against her lips trying to hold her close. "And I'll make you mine."
She pushed him back as she tried to control her breathing. "Leave me, please. I have nothing-"
Silvio raised his brow with intrigue. "You have everything I need to tame."
"No!" She blurted. "Why are you doing this?" She asked looking at him firmly.
"Isn't it obvious," he said taking as step towards her. "How badly I want to fuck you."
Sadie looked at him as he breathing shortened. Her heart beating fast as her body trembled with his gaze.
