Chapter 30 The plan
With his hands sitting deep in the pockets, Silvio leaned back against the glass door of his office balcony as he puffed on a rolled-up stiff of treasure luxury. He leaned his head back against the glass door and stared up at the night sky.
It's like no matter how hard he tried, he did, she was imprinted in his mind like a god-forbidden sin. He closed his eyes, and inhaled the cool breeze of night, melting his insides. Her whiskey brown eyes flashed before his eyes as he groaned.
"We need to leave in an hour."
Silvio tilted his head to the side to see man with short black hair and brown mocha eyes starring at him.
"Hmm," Silvio hummed before taking another puff.
He heard Dante sigh.
"Silas would be there." Dante reminded him and Silvio unconsciously nodded his head. Dante stood there, looking at Silvio. He couldn't help but saw fragments of sadness on his face. Dante had never seen him this devastated, this much tensed. The moment he had waited for years should brought happiness on his face, the satisfaction of defeating his enemy for final, the pride, the determination.
But Dante couldn't see even a grain of all of the emotions he wished to see.
Rather a gruesome look plastered over his feature.
Silvio took another puff of his cigarette before sighing deeply.
"Am I heartless, Dante?" Silvio's unexpected question took Dante off guard. Why was he asking this? Dante wondered.
"Being heartless isn't a bad thing."
"It isn't good either."
Silvio looked towards Dante. Unsaid words flowed between them. Dante was closest person to Silvio after his parents death. Years of training he had spend with him, like a little brother he had taught him everything, made him a man he today was, perfectly craved him into the perfect weapon he was now.
"She's getting on your mind. You're forgetting your real motive, Silvio. We don't deserve fondness, remember?" Dante's words stirred something inside Silvio. He indeed was right. Their line of work wasn't made for infatuation, but hatred and death. One way or another, Silvio knew that.
Then why was his heart clenching.
He sighed, his eyes again found their way towards the dark night sky. The stars danced around the moon, mocking her to chase them in their play.
"She is in my mind. I can't seem to get her out. It...It feels like she's echoing in mind all the damn time." Silvio said looking in space. The cigarette blew off as he dropped on the ground.
"Then get her out of there. Do something about her, we can't let you back away when we are this...this close to our destination." Dante walked towards him before grabbing his arm. "For your parents, your family, my mother," he paused for a second before sighing heavily. "For your brother."
Silvio blinked before licking his dry lips. The sudden wave of memories flooded through his mind. The past came back clawing at his soul. He had seen enough, been through enough, and destroyed enough to know what he wanted.
The soulless eyes of his father flashed through his eyes, the lifeless body of his mother stared back at him as suddenly scene in front of him changed to bloodshed. Screams of his little brother echoed in his ears. His fingers clenched into a fist. His lips twitched in anger as he exhaled heavily.
"She was never a part of this plan." Dante reminded him and grabbed his shoulders. "We can't let someone become our weakness." Silvio thought over his words. He was right in every aspect, in every word. The attachment was too real, the obsession, the infatuation was very obvious. Silvio wanted to, but he couldn't.
He barely nodded his head as Dante looked over his face. The hatred in Silvio's eyes for revenge was replaced with some bittersweet emotion. Dante knew it very well. But he couldn't let Silvio back away now, when they were on edge of mountain. Eighteen years, he had spend looking for revenge, to avenge his family, to claim his father's throne.
"You know what you've to do." Dante said before pulling him in a manly hug before ruffling his hairs.
Silvio nodded against Dante's shoulders, his muscles tensed.
"Reclaim your throne."

"What if I don't want to go?" I asked. Though I know the answer, I wanted to confirm. Miranda rolled her eyes, making me sigh.
I had been doing that a lot recently.
"He will drag you. Now it's up to you what yoh want-being dragged by almighty Silvio Salvatore or walk beside him like a sassy bitch." Neither. I would rather spend my time crying in this room.
"Besides who wouldn't want to wear this masterpiece." Now it was my time to roll my eyes. As Silvio left, Miranda barged into the room, carrying a dress and few accessories. I was shocked when I was suddenly told that we were about to go to some ball. Despite my refusal, Miranda dragged me to bathroom before asking me to shower, yelling how much I smelled like him.
I agreed.
After shower, I changed into undergarments Miranda provided me. I was never comfortable in lace, but I had no choice, I wore it.
"Ow!" I hissed when I felt slight burn over mu neck realising she just burned my neck with that damn curler. I wonder if she had something left inside her brain other than Silvio, making me wonder, why did he wanted me to go with him?
"Scusi, Bella. I wasn't looking." I could saw her slight smirk in mirror. With a deep sigh, I looked over towards the bed, where I had hided the phone. I just couldn't believe that I was this close to reveal myself in fron of him. And that made me think of consequences. Probably worst than getting a tattoo of his name.
After half an hour of struggling and blabbering, Miranda had finally done her job. I looked myself in mirror. The soft golden fabric looked flawless against my skin, the dress looked beautiful. My eyes raked over my own body when I caught black ink over my breast. Anger and vexation flooded inside me, the audacity of this man!
Written in sleek handwriting, his name popped out on my skin more than anything else.
SILVIO'S.
The bastard had gone too far.
A sigh of anger released through me. Miranda noticed the tattoo earlier but didn't commented. Probably she already knew?
"Let's go." She said and I followed after her. The straps of heels seemed to get tight as I stepped forward. Quietly, I followed after her, opening the door, she led us towards the stairs. The guards beside the room bowed towards us.
I had a confession. I wasn't ready to face him yet. Not only he had corrupted my body, but my mind also. Sometimes I feel only thing he wanted from me was sex, raw sex. I hadn't forgotten the words he had said to me earlier.
Toy. Puppet.
His games were nasty, and I couldn't take no more.
I sighed again as we descended down the stairs. As I looked up, my eyes immediately landed on his broad shoulders, his back muscles looked tensed under his black tuxedo. Though he wasn't facing us, I could feel myself getting red.
Another confession. My body was a traitor.
Click of our heels echoed in empty lobby, Dante looked our way and for a second I saw him staring at me. Just then, Silvio decided to embarrass me more. Slowly, just like a movie scene, he turned around. It felt like my feet had forgot how to walk and I found myself caught in his grey stare.
The light grey shirt complemented his similarly striking eyes. The black slack suit made him look more alpha like, a perfectly match to his dangerous personality. The shiny golden watch caught my attention immediately, and for the first time I saw him in a tie. The sleek piece of dark fabric perfectly complemented his suit.
I swallowed.
His hairs looked perfectly groomed, styled in lushy strands, some fell over his forehead made him look more handsome. To make it more worse for women, his scar on his left eye was like cherry on top for his mafia look.
Danger described him.
As my eyes were roaming over him, his eyes were doing the same. The only difference was that I was doing it shamefully, he was unapologetic. He didn't cared if he was eye-fucking in front of others, this seemed like hos second nature, to look at me like a hunter looks at his prey.
Too bad, I was beyond that.
I knew his games to lure me into his charm. He wanted to get laid, and I, Sadie Quintin, refused to become his piece of chess.
Two can pay the game.
"You look lovely." I pretend not to get chills as his deep voice caressed my ears. With million dollar confidence, I held his stare before walking past him by purposely brushing his shoulder.
I didn't get time to even take a step when his hand encircled around my waist as he pulled me against his chest.
"You look mad." Of couse!
I closed my eyes, tried to not feel his tingling touch, try to ignore how his arm tightened around my waist.
"Let go." I said calmly. He smirked.
"Never."
For a second he loosened his hold, for a moment I though maybe he was granting my wish but all my hopes turned to dust when he grabbed my hand before intertwining our fingers. I looked shocked at him for a second as he grinned at me.
"Let's go." Was this the same Silvio who fucked my brains out few hours ago.
Dante nodded to his command as he and Miranda followed behind us as Silvio nearly dragged me with him. Something was strange about him at this moment. Walking outside, I saw two sleek black cars already waiting for us. He opened the door for me before lightly pushing me inside.
With shocked expression, my legs followed his actions.
What was wrong with him?
From corner of my eyes, I saw Dante and Miranda getting in another car as Silvio sat next to me on back seat. The car started and I tried to ignore his presence, the man had brought nothing but pain and hurt to me. But he seemd to prove his point by pressing his muscular thigh against mine, making his presence known. It had been so long since I last tasted the freedom, he had made my life a hell. I wondered what bad deed I ahd done in my oast life to deserve this?
I jolted as I felt his hand on my knee. "Be a good girl for me."
"Never." I replied boldly. I had figured out I was indeed going to get banged by him so why not speek freely.
He chuckled making me frown. "I see, you're in a good mood." I opened my mouth to give him some piece of mind when he grabbed the back of my neck until we were facing and slammed his lips against mine.
I felt his hand moving up my thigh as I immediately pulled away with panic in my eyes. "No here, please."
I said anticipatedly. I looke din driver's direction who seemed to be doing an excellent job in minding his own business.
He smirked. "Albert won't mind. He will do what he is paid to do, nothing more. As for you...." He sneaked his hand oast my thigh before grabbing it and jerked me forward.
"I have something well planned for you."
