Chapter 27 I got you too
There are times when you feel like you're going to die but then suddenly god blessed you with something that you had never thought initially.
Exactly.
The moment I stepped inside the room, my eyes immediately looked over to table where we were seated but Silvio wasn't there. The table was empty. My eyes securely looked around only to find him nowhere. A new hope with up to minute anxiousness gripped my mind.
I didn't knew what to do or where to go.
I automatically took few steps back before turning around and ran. My destination was undecided yet I decided to get away from here. It was my chance, a recently developed opportunity that presented itself. Maybe, this time god had finally blessed me with something.
My feet took me towards the entry of the building, people passing by gave me few questioning glances, but that was least of my worries now. Silvio was not here, I was alone. I had to get away.
Sunrays framed over my face, and I had the urge to cover myself but I rushed towards the streets. I didn't knew where I was or where was I supposed to go.
Passing through crowded street, I found a vacant looking area, an abandoned park it seemed. My feet were started to ache now dure to all this running. My breathed came out as pants.
I was panicked, my hands were sweating and my heart was beating erratically inside the cage of my chest. One part of my mind was paranoid, thinking what would happen if Silvio caught me but the other, other was glad to idea that I would be finally free, away from his claim on me.
When I realised I was far from building, I stood near a tree to steady my breath as I looked around me with paranoid mind. The moment my breath was steadied and my beating heart was little bit under control, I cleared my mind off invalid things and thought about my next move when I was grabbed by my neck and strong pair of hands wrapped around my neck.
"è lei la cagna?"
A voice snarled from behind, I couldn't look but it surely belonged to a man. Fear inundated my body, panic rose. All the possibilities of them being Silvio's men dreaded me.
"Sí." Another voice said.
The grip tightened on my neck as he pulled me away from the tree and stared dragging me by my neck. I couldn't voice out my words, my struggles. The grip was too tight to handle.
From the corner of my eyes, I could see him dragging me towards the black looking van. Who were they?
I had no idea. They talked in different language, italian probably. My hands were all sweaty and trembling.
Fear became a tangible, living force that crept over me like some hungry beast, immobilizing me; my brain, holding me captive.
Eyes haunted by some inner panic, voice depressed down by caging beasts.
The moment I was threw against the van's door, I realised my mistake. I should had probably stayed where Silvio had told me to sit. But again, there were so many things I regretted, like living.
At this moment, I felt like my life was being controlled by others.
By now, my face was filled with wet tears as unspoken beads of my reality cascaded down my cheeks. I was crying, pleading them to let go of me but my pleas were unheard. The area looked remote to me, the street I had initially crossed was crowded but this area on left side of the park looked barren.
If I was feeling brave a little while ago, then all my lionhearted deeds were gone. I was feeling terrified. My breath was uneven, with my heart shuddering with fear.
The man looked down at me, as he impatiently grabbed me by my hairs before pulling me to his face. I could see his freckles, the dark black moustache looked angry on his rugged face. He had slightly brown eyes, somewhat between black and brown. But that seemed to be last of my worries.
I shrieked when he almost ripped the hairs out off of my head. My hands immediately flew as I gripped his hands before crying out loud.
"This bitch seems important to him. I wonder if she is enough to satisfy a beast like him." Others behind him laughed, and I immediately knew what or whom he was talking about.
"But bitch got some nice ass here." The blonde one said. His eyes slowly and shamelessly roamed over my body, then he licked his lips when his eyes caught the sight of my behind.
I couldn't feel anymore violated.
"Let's see if she'll bounce good." Their cruel laughs again echoed in my ears as I cried and thrashed in his hold. I jumped when someone grabbed my behind.
"Don't touch me!" I screamed loudly as blonde man squeezed my ass hardly. His hands were feeling nasty on my skin. I could feel revolting feeling inside me creeping outside. One of them immediately covered my mouth with his hand and other started roaming his hands all over my skin.
An ear piercing scream rippled in the air and it took me a while to realise that it came from me when a gunshot was heard. My eyes widened followed by my mouth as hand left my mouth and hands that were roaming shamelessly on my body a minute ago, was vanished leaving behind ghost of their touches.
It took me minute to figure out that droplets of blood were dripping over me. But I was too shocked to decipher anything. My hands still, my cries died, heart beat fastened.
No sound, no feel.
The man who had his hand over my mouth was now quiet, with his immobile body laid on top of me. My mind refusing to believe that he was dead.
The weight of the body lifted and that's when I could see what was happening. Their stood the man.
His short black hairs were cut sharp, just like his shadowed jaw-line. His hazel eyes looked sinister, angry. His muscles flexing as he lifted the man off me. And that's when I saw gun in his holster with which he just shot a man.
Dante looked terrifyingly dangerous.
And then again another scream left my mouth when my shock turned into fear. He didn't even think twice before shooting.
"Calm down, woman!" He groaned as he lifted me off the ground but i wasn't sane. All I wanted to do was to get away from him. I didn't knew when would I be comfortable with them killing people like killing mosquitos.
My hands shook as I pushed him when he suddenly pulled out a syringe from his inner pocket and my fear intensifies ten folds.
But it was too late, a sharp needle was punctured into my neck and I saw nothing but my demise as my mind reminded me that it was just Dante, Silvio was yet to come.
My lids got heavy as Dante picked me up, his arms wrapped around my waist and thighs as he stared walking before mumbling something.
My eyes blinked few times as darkness danced in front of me when he said.
"I got you."
One.
Two.
Three.
I heard three different voices when my senses slightly came back. Despite the fact that my head was hurting so bad, I still had horrific thoughts in my mind. My eyes squeezed as I tried to open them. With the urge to rub them overwhelmed me and tried to raise my hand when my heart skipped a beat.
My hands were tied.
My eyes automatically opened wide, my mouth agaped open when I again tried to tug my arms. I was tied to a chair, hands tied to armrests, my surroundings looked like I was in basement. There were no windows, only a door to my left where Micah was standing, his arms crossed in front.
"Pointless, sweetheart."
I looked up at him. And believe me, for a second I couldn't recognise the man. He had same white shirt, with same dark grey slacks but the look on his face was nothing but bone-chilling. His grey eyes held no warmth or softness rather a blink of anger and fury was there with underlying danger. His hands were in his pockets, and he stood tall, with squared shoulders in front of me. His hairs looked disoriented, looked like he had been running his hands through them a lot.
He looked angry.
"They were members of Sicilian mafia."
My ears twitched when I heard Dante's voice. The fact that he had just drugged me only to bring me back in devil's cage was betraying. I was so amd at him but my anger was nothing compared to Silvio's.
His eyes didn't wandered off of my face, the intensity shook me to core. I gulped.
"Sicilian..." Silvio smirked. His eyes pinning me down to where I was. Dante gave a quick glance to Silvio as his line of vision followed Silvio's grey glare.
A look of devastation crossed his face for a second before he looked away.
"He was also seen here." Dante mumbled, gaining Silvio's full attention.
"The motherfucker knows how to mess with me." Silvio grunted.
"What now?" Dante asked, his posture looked stressed. I decided to remain silent, who knew what would become of me if Silvio decided to grace me with his attention.
Silvio looked at him for a second when a small smirk plastered on his face.
"When's the annual meeting?" He asked.
Dante furrowed his brows in confusion.
"But never attended that." He said unsure.
"When?" Silvio raised his brows, slightly annoyed with Dante's talking back.
"Upcoming sunday." Dante sighed. What was annual meeting?
"The security would be tight, boss." Micah interjected. Silvio gave him a look and sighed.
"That's what I have you for, Micah. Fuck with the system, I want everything smooth." Silvio commanded. Micah nodded before he started typing something in his phone.
"And me?" Dante asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Guard the doors, make sure no one escapes." Dante nodded.
And me? When was I going to be free?
Silvio might had sensed my discomfort as he gave me a stern gaze.
"I'll deal with you later." He gritted out the words before dismissing Dante and Micah. The room became more cold, the atmosphere seemed more dangerous than earlier. He turned around before opening the drawers, which I failed to notice previously, and pulled out few items. I looked in horror as he pulled out a small fist sized machine with few small containers.
What was he planning to do?
I looked at him with both confusion and fear. My mind paralysed, refused to work for a moment as he equipped the machine with a needle like thing and pressed the button as the machine roared with sound.
"I don't know what I'm going to do to you, Sadie. The fact that you tried to run from me is fucking my mind." His voice sounded rough with thickness of his anger and maliciousness of his cruelty.
He traced his finger along the needle before turning around only to pierce me with his gaze.
His eyes found mine.
"Didn't I told you to be careful? Didn't I told you....that you're mine? Or I failed to make you understand?" He gritted the last part with venom. His eyes held danger.
I swallowed hard. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't move.
"Answer me, cara." He said rather calmly and I didn't knew what yo say. I knew I had made him angry but he needed to know from my perspective too. If he would've been there, I wouldn't had tried to run.
"Answer me, dammit!" He shouted before slamming his fist agaisnt the table making it crack. I screamed.
"I-I- please don't hurt me!" I cried.
Silvio chuckled without a sign of amusement and in no time he was right in front of me. My heart was beating erratically against the cage of my chest. My hands were beaded with sweat.
He leaned down til he was face to face. His eyes bored into me. He was too close, I could feel his breath on my face. He smelled like alcohol.
He raised his hand when I flinched as he caressed my cheek with the back of his hand. His eyes moved to my lips as he looked to and fro between my eyes and lips.
"I've been too easy on you, cara." That's all I heard when he slammed his lips against mine. I could taste the after taste of his alcohol in my mouth. His hand found the back of my neck as he jerked me forward. My back strained with tension.
A shriek escaped my lips when he squeezed my neck warningly. My body tensed as his lips tough claimed mine in a punishing hold. His tongue pushed passed my shivering lips when I tasted him.
"You'll think twice before running away from me again."
