Chapter 49 Dumb, dumber, dumbest

Fear was just a malice, a feeling of failure, a sweet tangerine taste that had been ripped away with lies wrapped around dressed like beautiful truth I never knew I needed to survive.
I just stood there, watching in pure startelment, as Dante rolled over in pain, his hands already wrapped around his head as he groaned in agonising pain. The hit was fatal, the nerve Silas had hit was just above the nape, inflicting certain severe damage.
My legs moved on their own as Silas motioned me towards him. My breathing no more normal but a shattered breath leaving now and then. My brain was far too gone to respond or to give any commands or say anything.
My eyes still on Dante.
Watching him as he suffered.
"Come here. Now." Words were just an echo of sound that's an echo of air that's an echo of fear.
Wobbling on my shaky steps, I somehow managed to reach him. It was just a push of air when his free hand was wrapped around my arm and with a hard tug, he jerked me forward. My breath came out as gasp accompanied by a shot of pain as I landed on his chest.
His eyes however no longer on me, the hard stare set on Dante regardless.
I stared in fear as he pointed his gun at him and snarled.
"I just hate leeches like you. You really think you would be able to snatch her away so easily?" Dante moaned in pain as Silas kicked him with full force in the stomach. My eyes watered looking at him like this. He had done nothing just tried to save me. It was my fault. Only if I hadn't asked him to save the man on the ground floor, this wouldn't had happened.
I was trouble.
I hissed when his grip tightened over my arm as he again shook me. For an unending second, fear swelled in my chest more than ever, almost to a breaking point.

Silvio hissed as bullet grazed past his shoulder leaving a burning sensation in the upper corner of his left arm. He closed his eyes as he breathed in deeply. It had been hours now. And still he failed to locate her. The sun had already started to set in deep valleys of dark canvas that was soon to be replaced.
As he had depicted earlier, Alejandro had tight security on fifth floor.
Raising his right arm, he pointed it to side as he shot another man in between his eyes. Then he tilted it to side before shooting another in his abdomen. He watched as they feel down, covered with their blood, turning into lifeless corpses.
Then he felt a sudden change. He cursed under his breath as he turned around only to find Alejandro.
He was there.
Silvio noticed that he still looked same. Same determined glint in his eyes, the same darkness that ahd surrounded him when he last saw him. His lips sealed in a false grin to keep his feared appearance.
But just like earlier, his eyes was dead and empty. Held no empathy or sense of sympathy.
Silvio felt anger bubbling inside him, it felt like all the hatred he had burrowed, now had resurfaced. His grave purposes now more than clear, determined than ever.
"Hello, Salvatore." Alejandro said, his voice cool and smooth, rasping against Silvio's skin like snakeskin.
He didn't replied.
Stead, his eyes roared.
Silvio noticed another presence, a fairly tall man with dark eyes, standing behind Alejandro with a blank face and tough posture.
Silvio clutched onto his gun, ready to pull the trigger when he heard screams and cries of woman. His brows furrowed as he anticipatingly looked towards the stairs. Alejandro and Edward followed his gaze as huge remarkable grin plastered over latter's face.
"Now that's what a good show is." Alejandro said but Silvio blocked him out as his eyes landed on Silas when he dragged a crying Sadie down with him. His hand wrapped around her arm as she tried to pry his fingers off of her. Her cheeks stained with tears, her screams ringing through his ears. His chest tightened as his eyes landed on her face.
Tranquil silence fell upon them, it was just a moment when she reciprocated his gaze. Softness she never knew she could saw in those metallic stare, the tenderness he never intended to show her. The relief he saw in her caramel melted gaze was laced with underlying fear.
Silvio was in dilemma, why his heart was beating so fast?
"Silvio...." He closed his eyes as his jaw clenched. She still had that madening affect on him. His insides clawed at him to have her in his arms, to feel her, to touch her, to dive into her and drank all she could give him.
Alejandro chuckled bitterly, hindering their gazes. Silvio eyes hardened as they landed on him. His jaw rendered with rage consuming him vitally.
Sadie searched for his eyes, her mouth slightly opened as she gazed at him. Fight no longer keeping up with her, though her delicate wrists burned from grip Silas had on her. She had lost track of her surroundings yet her heart craved for longings of man she had betrayed without thinking twice.
She could hear voices, she could differentiate them but she couldn't comprehend. Her body solely desired his eyes, one gaze, one touch with his eyes.
Silvio's fingers tightened over the barrel of his gun. His eyes held Alejandro's stare, responding him with malice anger and raw rage.
"Leave her and I'll spare your lives." Silvio said calmly though his tone betrayed him.
Silas scoffed, stepping forward as he pulled Sadie forward with him. His hd subsequently tightened whilst he make sure to not put much pressure. Sadie shivered in terror as he pulled out his gun before placing her against her temple.
"Leave and I'll think about sparing her life."

Micah panted as he ran towards the stairs leading to basement. His left hand pressed tightly against his right shoulder whilst blood flowed down through the wound. His eyes frantically moving sideways when he spotted the room he was looking for.
Heavily a shattered sigh, he quickly rummaged through the door before locking ot behind him. He groaned in agony before pressing his back against the door as he slide down. His breaths came out as pants, his heart palpitating with unease of the wound. Sharp waves of pain resonating through he bleeding shoulder.
He was glad that bullet ahd just grazed his shoulder without breaking any major vein or artery buy damage was already done, his wound was fatal. And he was struggling to cope up with pain.
Gritting his teeth, he shred the piece of his shirt before tying it tightly around his shoulder. Though it waa difficult, he still managed to somehow tie the ends.
Taking few deep breaths, he eventually stood up. His wobbly legs led him towards the desk as he eyed the computer operator carefully. He was right. Alejandro had wired the whole building. He quickly typed something on keyboard as screen turned green asking for password.
Micah smirked as he messed with few buttons as screen changed before showing 'permission granted'.
He opened the folders after folders when he stopped at what he was searching for. He pulled out the empty pen drive from his pocket and slotted it in and waited as information started loading. Micah grunted as he sat on chair as he waited impatiently for all the data to load in.
He was looking at screen showing twenty three percent when he heard a loud sound from outside. His ears quipped up as he immediately stood up. Rubbing his hand on his face, he looked around for any weapon before his eyes landed on his own empty barrel. He cursed under his breath as he quietly tip-toed towards the door, his eyes moving frantically yet his ears twitched up to any sound.
"morire! figlio di puttana!" He heard loud voice again when he jumped startled to sound of gun. He heard few grunts and few gunshots when a body was landed on ground. Micah was on his high-alert when he heard loud banging on door. His body alarmed and he picked the empty barrel and raised it above his head as knob of the door flickered.
He gulped hard, prepared to attack. He watched as knob turned around and a click was heard. He held his breath watching anxiously as he raised the barrel over his head and was about to hit the intruder when he stopped.
"You damn idiot! What're you doing here?! This isn't how I have raised you dumb asses to be?!" Micah watched in shock as he came across very familiar man he was looking at years later.
"Damn...." He muttered under his breath before barrel was slipped through his hands and next moment he fing himself being engulfed in big hug.
"I missed you, uncle. I missed you..." Words whispered in air reached Donovani's ears and he closed his eyes before pulling Micah close to his chest. He felt sudden rush of relief washing over him whilst he embraced the boy he had practically himself raised.
Micah and unshed tears in his eyes as he pulled away before looking down at Donovani.
"Are you hurt? Did they hurt you? Oh fuck! Your arm! It's bleeding-"
"Si! Si! Don't fret, boy! I have strong physique. I can handle a bullet or two." Donovani laughed as Micah shook his head in disbelief.
Donovani's smiled replaced with frown as he eyed the computer screen.
"Is Silvio here too? I'm gonna whoop his ass once we get home." Micah held back his snicker as he watched elder man muttering curses under his breath.
"Anyways, we need to get out of here. Alejandro has installed dynamites all over the place." Micah nodded. He already knew the news. He just needed it to deliver to Silvio somehow when a thought crossed his mind.
He shook his head.
"I need to get you out of here first. I need to save someone else too." Micah quickly glanced at screen as it showed eighty seven percent. Donovani furrowed his brow.
"Who?"
"Silvio's-"
"-ass." Micah looked startled towards the door when he saw shiny glimmering gun pointed their way. His breath hitched as his eyes widened in realisation.
"Y-you..."
His shock replaced with anger as he stepped towards her.
"You traitorous bitch! There was a reason why I never liked you." Micah growled whilst he cursed under his breath.
Miranda chuckled lightly before shaking her head.
"Feelings are mutual, dumbo. Now, hand that drive over to me or I'll blow his brains out." She said as she moved the gun towards Donovani. Donovani rolled his eyes.
"The safety's on, kiddo." He snickered. Miranda gave him a hard look as she assessed her gun when a punch was landed on her face before gun was slipped from her hands and she fell on the floor.
Micah crouched as he picked the gun and pointed it towards her.
"Now, tell me where Silvio before I blow your brains out."
