Chapter 19 I'm coming, cara

"A week."
"So, what're our strategies for his unexpected arrival."
"A bullet is all I need to welcome him." Taking another sip of his expensive looking wine, Silvio leaned back on his chair as Dante gave a curt nod.
"So, you plan to surprise him?" Dante said unfolding his arms, and sitting opposite to Silvio.
Silvio raised his glass as he looked at half wine filled glass.
"A stone for stone...a life for life." He said, Dante watched as Silvio emptied the glass on pages of file on his desk. The photo of Silas became a blur of faded memories as wine was soaked by paper.
"And what about the doctor you're obsessed with?" Micah asked leaning back against the wall, folding his arms across his chest.
Silvio raised his brows. "What about her?"
"She's in radar of Michelle since you've killed Michael Morelli." Micah explained.
"She's safe." Silvio said looking at Micah as his mind drifted back to conversation he had with Sadie. He couldn't help but wonder about her now and then.
"Michelle's men were found near her apartment yesterday." Micah said and Silvio snapped his head towards him, as he narrowed his eyes.
"And you're telling me this now!" He snarled angrily as he slammed his fist on table immediately. He was about to get up when Micah's words stopped him.
"They're dead. I killed them." Micah confirmed and Silvio gave him a dark look as he rubbed his face with his hand.
"She cant be exposed to my world." Silvio breathed out running his hand through his hairs. Dante and Micah looked worriedly at him, their eyes noticing his stiffed posture.
Silvio was known to be a calculated person, a sharp thinker but his mind always stopped working when it came to her. He wonder why was he getting this much obsessed with her. She was beautiful, he admitted but brunettes weren't his type, weren't they?
He sighed tensely.
"Are you going to see her again?" Dante asked in his thick italian accent, looking from the pile of files in his hands as Micah's ears quipped up.
"Of course." Silvio responded.
Standing up from his seat, Silvio rounded the table and stopped by the small coffee table next to the couch, where Dante was sitting. He picked his blazer, amd secured a gun in inner pocket, purposely hoding the weapon. Whenever he visit Sadie, he brought only a gun and a knife with him and made sure she couldn't see whenever he was dressing or undressing. And he knew he'd be an idiot to trust her around real weapons.
"36 crates of fully loaded barrels and 56 missiles are successfully ported to Italy. Do you need me to check out other weapons?" Micah asked typing in his laptop, his eyes exclusively on screen, his focus on what he was doing.
Silvio nodded.
"I want AKM and M16 delivered to italy in four days. Make sure to load explosives too." Weapon loading was a risky work, but piece of cake for Micah.
"Can you ask Gabriel to take the night shift in werehouse? I have to work out some logistics for our Spain attack." Dante said, turning his attention to files.
Silvio frowned as he put on his blazer jacket. "I thought everything was ready."
"Yeah I thought so too, but it seems like Silas has some relations with spainish mobster. I think he has warned Ronaldinho about the attack, has nothing to do with matter but still, it complicates things."
"Fuck." Silvio gritted. Silas Anderson, direct or indirect, was a huge complication in matters. The Italian armed dealer had a serious grudge with Silvio, as much as Silvio had with him.
The spainish attack was a big one and Silvio couldn't afford to fuck it up.
"How much of our plan we need to scrap off?" Silvio asked sitting on sofa, next to Micah and Dante.
"Almost all of it," Micah grunted. "Seems like Silas has joined hands with Ronaldinho. The security system is changed and unscheduled, there are new security cameras everywhere, and Ronaldinho is instituting patrols around the compound perimeter."
"Okay, let's do it."
Over the next hour, Silvio came up with another plan for murdering Spanish arms dealer, Ronaldinho Curzon. Instead of attacking him on night as initially planned, new plan included day attack, diring lunchtime when the newbie guards would be on patrol. It was a sick thing, but Silvio knew many of the mafia men feel safer in daylight rather than night. Their guards are always up at night times.
"When are we going back to Italy? Our work here is almost done." Dante asked when he closed his laptop and gazed over at Silvio. Silvio got up and pulled out his phone.
"In few days." Silvio grumbled lowly as he swiped across his screen, his thumb impatiently pressing down on Sadie's number. Initially he had thought of calling her but found himself texting her instead.
I'm coming, cara.
He sighed and placed his phone back in his pocket. Dante sighed and stood up, leaving the laptop on couch. "If you want her so much, then just take her and be done with it. She's becoming a liability for you."
"I pay you for running my shit, not my personal affairs." Silvio snarled, anger slowly getting to him. Dante noticed the dark look on Silvio's face and lowered his head.
"I'm sorry, capo." Dante said bowing his head, giving respect to his boss. He knew they were friends, probably more than that but as the mafia leader of italian dynasty, Silvio demanded respect without uttering a word. His aura screamed domination and Dante was well aware, no matter how close they were, he would always be his superior, always be his padrone. Questioning him was questioning his existence.
Blood couldn't describe Dante's allegiance. Dante breathed in as he remembered the words Silvio said when they first met.
'Blood makes you related, but loyalty makes you family.'
"And about Michelle, where our plan reached?" Silvio asked, running his hand through his hairs.
"He's exposed. Tara's demanding divorce. And about her sister, the Russian mobster has disowned her from the family. Looks like Michelle got himself in big mess this time. Tara won't leave him until he gave her the shares and property and business he holds."
"fantastico..." Silvio smirked. "Fix me a meeting with her...I need to manipulate her more." Silvio said before taking long, powerful strides towards the door when Dante stopped him.
"Sure thing, boss."
Silvio held back a grin as he walked outside. His mind thinking about certain womn he had managed to scare for no good. He knew she was afraid, probably terrified but he couldn't brought himself to held back in her presence. For the first time, Silvio didn't knew reason behind his actions. Why he wanted her? Question lingering in his mind, leaving him confused.
~
He had cancer. Out of all the diseases, he was diagnosed with cancer. Why I always end up in flames of fate? Why couldn't I rest in peace for a day, or probably for a moment? Distorted life wasn't my desire, nor having my life filled with unreliable moments.
I took day off, and again I found myself confined in these four walls of my bedroom, exiguous by my thoughts. Sophie suggested I should rest and sort out things for few days. She even offered me help, along with Mary. Eric didn't knew anything about my father, and nor I was planning to meet him soon. He would demand answer of my sudden disappearence from party and I had so much less energy left to answer him, to explain myself.
Think, Sadie! How will you arrange this much money in this short period of time?!
Doctor suggested he needed treatment immediately or his condition would worsened. Sighing I dialled Olivia's phone number. She needed to know this, despite of the fact that I didn't wanted to worry her.
After two rings, someone picked up the phone.
"Hello, Olivia! It's m-"
"Pleasure to hear your voice, Sadie..."
My day couldn't get any more worse. What was Gerard doing with Olivia's phone?
"I need to talk to her. Can you please hand this over to her?" I said, my voice awfully low. After all this bullshit going in my life, I had no stamina of talking yo him amd listening to his taunting voice.
"She's in her room. Poor girl left her phone in kitchen. Well, good for me, I get to talk to my favourite niece." He mocked.
This wasn't the time to get angry, Sadie! Pull yourself together!
I breathed in deeply.
"Since when I became your favourite, Gerard? Ain't I the disgrace to your family? You never considered me as your family." I said, though my voice was calm, my heart wasn't. I could never forget the time I spend with him.
"Oh! Well, well! Isn't it great that I plan to make you a part of my family? What say, Sadie? You will finally live the dream to be a part of this family." So, he was finally showing me his true colours. Olivia had already warned me about his motives but I didn't had enough time to figure out. Thinking of it, I still hadn't got the solution.
"I refuse to play your dirty games." I spat, disgusted by him.
"Remember the time I helped you, Sadie. You promised me your cooperation in whatever I needed, now's not the time to turn your back. Keep one thing in mind, do as I say or I won't hesitate to ruin you." His voice suddenly changed from enthusiast to venomous. Of course! I remembered!
"Haven't you done enough already? What else you need now?" I snapped angrily.
He chuckled from other side.
"Enough?! What're you talking about? And about what I need? Let me clear Sadie, it was you who needed my help and it's time for you to return the favour. Price is simple-Marry my son or watch me ruin your life....along with your sister."
The line cut off as the phone slided down from my hands and I fell on my knees. Why was this happening to me? WHY?! It felt like everything was slipping from my hands, my life, my career, my sanity. Then I heard my phone ring as a message popped on my screen. I didn't wanted to see, but I immediately caught the unknown number.
I'm coming, cara.
I didn't needed to think twice who it was. Silvio Salvatore, the man who brought nothing but harm to me, who knew no limit, who had his raw masculine aura around himself wherever he went.
I needed to go somewhere else before he could come here. I couldn't afford to spend another minute with him. He was abad news.
I quickly scrambled off to my feet and grabbed my phone and purse and wore my flats before rushing towards the door.
He had to leave me alone.
I opened the door and I instantly jumped back startled when I saw three men already standing at my door. One of them had pale blonde hairs, wearing black clothes, toe to head and other two were bulkier than first one wearing same coloured clothes and I could tell they weren't good news either.
"Is it her?" On eof them asked. His eyes lowered down to his hands, where he was gripping a small sized photo. And then his lips curled up in a smirk.
"Indeed, it's her." That's all I heard as I panickingly tried-and failed to close the door. One of them grabbed me by my arm as other two closed the door. I screamed as they painfully threw me on ground.
"W-what do you want?" I panicked as one of them pulled out a gun from his back pocket and positioned it on my head. I froze, death seemed so close.
"Shut up!" He growled angrily, pointing his gun at me.
"What are we supposed to do now? Boss said to keep a close eyes on her." The one with light brown hairs said, his body slightly bulkier and taller.
The blonde, who had gun pointed at me, shrugged his shouders nonchalantly, like he didn't had me on gun point. "He said not to kill her. We'll wait for his next command. Till then, wait for his call."
What boss were they talking about? Silvio? No! It couldn't be him! No matter how psychotic he was, he would never do this to me....or would he?
I moved back on my bottom as one of them crouched beside me. "Don't try to show smartness. You're one bullet away." Threat was loud and clear. I frantically nodded. I couldn't panic in situation like this. I needed to have patience and think. And just then, my brain lights sparkled.
I still had my phone in my pocket!
I just needed to use it. But how?
"Nice place." Blondie said, tracing his fingers across my cabinets, his eyes carefully looking in every corner. I didn't realised one of them was in my room.
"Found nothing. She's clear." The light brown haired guy said. Maybe he was searching my room. The blondie frowned.
"Look carefully. She's his woman, he can never leave her unprotected. There must be a weapon or something." He said and now it was my turn yo frown.
"I don't have anything-"
"I SAID SHUT UP!" I cringed at the pitch of his voice. Who's woman? Silvio's? And protected?! Was he kidding? I needed protection from Silvio himself!
Blondie was talking to other dude, who looked younger then his age, about stuff like weapon, drugs and what not. And other dude was searching my apartment. And taking it as my cue, I slowly and carefully, my eyes trailed on the men, I pulled out my ohone from my pocket. I was on ground, next to couch, so it was easier for me to use it from under, and risky as well.
"Why would he leave her unprotected?" One of them said.
I opened my phone with my fingerprint, eyes still on them. And glance towards my phone as I opened my dial pad. Now big question? Whom should I call? Police couldn't help me, they would know and I know before police could come, my neck would be in their hands.
I swallowed hardly and one name popped in my mind.
Silvio Salvatore.
Call me mad, but I know he could help me. I dialled his number, my eyes not leaving the two men in front of me, who were arguing with each other. I didn't heard the ringing because the phone was far, but I know he didn't answered because the call disconnected. I tried four more times, same thing happened. My hoped died. Where was the fuck was he when I needed him?!
My eyes widened when my door bell rang. Blondie snapped his head towards me. "Who's it?" He whispered screamed.
I shook my head. "I don't know." I mumbled.
"Marcus, hide somewhere. Leo, come with me. And you, bitch, one wrong move and I'll shoot your brains." I nodded. Blondie hide behind the countee of my kitchen, Marcus on left corner of lobby and Leo behind sofas. Why did they hide? Whatever!
I slowly raised to my feet. My hands still shaking and I took steps towards the door. I could see the gun pointed in door's direction, they would shoot of I made wrong move.
I opened the door slowly, when all of sudden I was pushed back and everything happened in instance. I was hoisted up, my legs automatically wrapped around his waist, his hands ran shamelessly on my body as his lips crashed on mine.
And realisation hit me. Silvio was kissing me, I was pinned to the wall adjacent to door and I was hoisted on his waist.
And there are men in your apartment!
My subconscious mocked as Silvio eagerly ripped my blouse off me. I needed to tell him, to warn him. But his mouth was refusing to let me speak. I tried to pull away but his rough hands held me tightly.
I didn't knew when but his blazer was on ground, his shirt off and his naked torso was touching my bare breasts.
"Stop!" I whispered panting. He didn't heard his lips descended down to my neck as he kissed he vigorously.
I saw a lurking shadow of blondie behind us as he smirked and pointed his gun at Silvio's head, who was busy eating me. My eyes widened, my scream caught in my throat as Silvio immediately dropped me on ground and turned with the speed of light before shooting the man in head.
I was shocked, naked, and startled, my back touching the wall as Silvio stood tall above me. He might knew there were men, and I didn't knew how he managed to pull out the gun so fast.
I was both mesmerised and shocked by his reflexes. The other two men also stepped out as they pointed their guns at us.
"Go to you room." Silvio said, his voice deep and commanding and without looking back twice I ran towards my room. Though, I opened my door partially as I watched the scene in front of me. Silvio against two men.
