Chapter 21 Hell or heaven
Heaven was one kiss away, Silvio had shown her every proof of his impure obsession. She lost count of how many time Silvio made her cum after fifth time, the last thing she remembered was Silvio pounding her mercilessly as he gripped her hairs.
Bright rays of sun fell onto her face as her skin glowed, her body felt sore as she tried to move. Last night's events were as fresh as soreness between her thighs. Her legs were trembling deliciously and her thighs were quivering.
She remembered, every single touch and every single kiss Silvio peppered her with.
She felt a sudden ache in her heart when she noticed that the other side of her bed was empty, she felt cold, both physically and emotionally. Her mind drifted to his words when she let the exhaustion engulfed her.
'I'm gonna fuck the shit out of you.."
Her body quivered with those dirty thoughts. She swallowed the lump as she shrugged away the thoughts and ignored the sweet soreness between her legs and slowly walked towards the bathroom before wrapping the sheets around her naked body.
"Fuck..." She hissed when her thighs rubbed together. Struggling, she manged to get under the shower as she washed herself, particularly the heaven between her legs that Silvio tainted last night. She trembled again, his eyes, his touch, his every was intense yesterday night, she thought.
Spending two hours me ding herself, she decided to wear her work clothes and thanked the heavens that she wasn't late for her duty. Taking the taxi, she rushed inside the hospital when she reached.
The more she was trying to forget about Silvio, her mind seemed to wander to him. How his hands had gripped her last night, how he fucked her into oblivion, how good he felt, and how much of herself she had given to him.
She gulped when a horrific thought ran through her mind.
Would he leave her now that he had sleep with her?
Wasn't that what she wanted? Her subconsciousness reminded her.
Yes! I wanted him to leave me. Then why this, ache was there?
She thought as her heart squeezed only thinking about him leaving her. She was so engrossed in her thoughts and jumped when pair of hands grabbed her shoulder. She was about to scream but stopped when her brown eyes landed on very familiar face.
"Oh!..Good morning, Eric." She tried to smile, but the look of gruesome Eric gave her, she realised she needed to gave him so explanation.
She sighed and looked around.
"I'm sorry about...umm..that day. I didn't mean-"
"I love you, Sadie." Her eyes widened and her face turned red when she registered his words. Her heart beat fastened. She gulped and opened her mouth to say something when Eric placed his finger on her lips.
"And also know that you don't see me like that. We've been friends for more than ten years now, and I've been loving since start. Since the day I first saw you. You were the only girl I had my eyes on, and maybe that was the reason why I decided to join medical department instead to running some busines like Sam." Sadie looked at him startled by his confession. She felt turmoil of emotions inside her. Softness and vulnerability in his words had her thinking how she failed to notice Eric's infatuation for her.
Eric sighed and continued. "But now, I don't know why, but I'm feeling like I'm losing you. You are trying to keep your distance from me, you ditched me two times, Sadie. And day before yesterday, I looked for you everywhere and Sophie told me you took day off. I was worried, so I decided to pay a visit to you. And you know what I saw when I reached your apartment?" Sadie's heart threatened to escape her chest, both from anticipation and fear.
What did he saw? She panicked in her mind. She hoped for him to not see Silvio. She couldn't afford to people know about him, to know how immensely he eas affecting her.
"I saw a man...entering your apartment." Eric's words send Sadie into other attack. Her breathing shortened as Eric's words sinked in her brain.
She looked up at him and swallowed when she noticed heartbroken look on his face, his eyes had deep circles underneath and his face looked less groomed. His facial hairs were outgrowing, overall, he looked tired and exhausted. She felt bad that she was the reason behind his this state.
"I didn't saw his face but..." He sighed as he peered down at her. She could easily saw the tears glistening in his eyes. "I don't know what relation you have with him but please...give me a chance."
Her heart squeezed with uneasiness. Eric's vulnerability was showing, she could easily saw emotion glimmering in his eyes. He looked down her and grabbed her shoulder and slightly pulled her closer.
"Give me a chance to show you how much I love you..." His voice broke in the end and Sadie's heart skilled a beat.
"I-I need time..to think about it." She manged to let out. Eric weakly nodded and dropped his hands on his sides and gave her weak smile.
"I can wait for you even if it'll take forever." That's al he said when he turned around and walked away taking the broken pieces of his heart. Sadie stood there, like a statue, she couldn't process, couldn't think.
She found herself in dilemma. One side there was Silvio, the man she was afraid of, the one who had claimed her without her consent and on other side, there was Eric, a better option, the man with a stable career and a good job. She knew Eric was better option than Silvio.
Uneasiness washed over her, her thoughts battled.
Breathing in deeply, she opened the door of her office before walking inside. Like always, Sophie was there, arranging patients lists and their vitals on a clipboard.
"Morning, Dr. Quintin." Joyful voice of Sophie greeted Sadie. Gathering her thoughts, she smiled back.
"Very good morning, Sophie. How are you? Any new reports?" Sadie asked, placing her bag on table as she took her seat.
"No. Everything's seems fine." Sophie smiled and walked outside with reports in her hand. Sadie sighed. She knew Silvio was bad for her health and her work too. And she had a lot of work to complete but with Silvio constantly lurking around her brain, she couldn't help but imagine his rough hands on her body.
She groaned frustratingly and ran her hand across her face.
"Concentration, Sadie..." She muttered before grabbing patient's file.
Today was going to be a long day, she concluded.
Evening came later than usual, and for Sadie, it was hard to concentrate on work with Silvio in her mind. Whole day she tried to ignore Eric and his confession. The man barely made eye contact with her when they separated there ways. She was feeling kinda bad for him. She was feeling tired, more exhausted than other days. She barely got any sleep last night and there was still little sweet soreness between her thighs.
Calling the cab, she wondered if Silvio would be at her apartment like usual or not. Only thought of him, in her apartment was overwhelming yet scary for her. She wanted him and at the same time she wanted to be away from him.
New excitement and new emotion rippled through her as she fumbled for her keys. Her heart beat fastened and she started feeling uncomfortable between her legs. She tried–and failed to calm her breathing. She couldn't decide if she wanted him to be inside.
Door opened and she steeped in. Her eyes glazed around her apartment when disappointment washed over her features. Silvio wasn't there. The apartment barely looked untouched. The lights were off and the she couldn't feel any presence.
She sighed, partially relieved and slightly disappointed.
Shrugging away her coat, she closed the door behind her before walking towards her room. When she reached bathroom, she had successfully managed to take off her clothes. Stepping inside the shower stall, she let the cold water cascaded down her body. All the exhaustion and tiredness washed away instantly.
Wrapping a warm, fluffy towel around herself, she walked in the closet. Grabbing a pair of panties and a oversized graphic t-shirt, she decided to make something light for herself.
She dressed and walked towards her kitchen, when her eyes landed on same statue wrapped in paper at corner lf her living room. Curiously she walked towards it, and contemplated if she should open it.
Giving into her desire, she unwrapped the paper and gasped as she stumbled backwards.
~
Beautiful, sparkly metallic gold colour nearly blinded my vision. Deep neck line with diamond like stones on left breast and strap with one side fully clothed. A long narrow slit on left side as dress flowed down.
?
I remained stunned. Was this really for me? Like FUCKING HELL! I didn't even wanted to know how much this dress costed. It would take me my whole life to get something so flashy and bold for me.
The dress indeed was bold and classy like someone would usually wear for award winning ceremony.
Shock turned into reality. He send it to me. He wanted me to wear this on that seminar. Then I realised, he wanted to take me to seminar!
I groaned realising I was clueless about that.
My stomach growled. I needed food not dress.
I walked towards kitchen, but my mind was prisoned by certain someone. Quickly I took potatoes and mashed them before taking few lettuce leaves along with vegetables I could fing in my fridge before slicing them down.
Why would he send me something this expensive?
I took two large slices of bread, coated them layer of mashed potatoes and then few lettuce leaves on it, two slices of tomato and onions, and sprinkled salt and tada! My sandwich was ready to devour.
And why wasn't he here today? He never left like this?
I ate my sandwich.
I yawned when I finished eating, washing few dishes and cleaning the remaining mess, I looked at clock.
00:12
It was last midnight. And i needed sleep. Cause tommorrow I had a surgery to perform. The patient had stones in his kidney, surgery was last option for him.
Maybe today he was busy. Maybe he would visit me tommorrow.
As soon as my head touched the pillow, sleep came naturally to me. Exhaustion was too much. Strange thing happened to me that night, I didn't had nightmares. Infact, I dreamt of him, fucking me with me on my knees as his hands were wrapped around my hairs.
~
"Dr. Quintin! Congratulations!"
As soon as I exited operation theatre, Sophie greeted me. I nodded with a smile and walked towards the bathroom before removing my gloves and mask and dumping them in dustbin nearby. I stared at my reflection in mirror. Dark circles under my eyes were looking more deep and black. Makeup wasn't helping in any way.
Two weeks, two fucking weeks!
Two weeks ago, I performed surgery on Mr. Galat. He had stones in his kidney. It was a successful blow.
And today I had something critical to perform. A patient was admitted three hours ago, he was shot in chest, two millimeters away from his heart. Though his major artery was damaged, I was still able to save him. He had lost much blood.
Anyways, the surgery was successful.
I sighed.
This wasn't bothering me. The thing, or should I say man, who was bothering me was Silvio Salvatore.
Two weeks since I last heard from him. No call, no message from his side and when I tried to reach out to him, my self-respect came inbetween. I couldn't count how many times I had retracted my hand from dial button.
Wasn't this expected? Him leaving? After having his way with me? After...fucking me? Hadn't he already made himself clear that he only wanted me for his sexual pleasure?
Reality was cruel but so true.
I knew he wanted to sleep with yet I let him.
The fastest way to make a guy lose interest in you is to sleep with him. This saying had turned out to be true. Wasn't this exactly what I wanted? For him to leave me? To make him lose his interest in me?
Oh god! It hurted but that's exactly what I wanted.
Then why was I having this ache in my chest? Why I was thinking about him all the damn time? Why was he affecting me like this? Why was I... missing him?
I breathed in deeply as tears accumulated in corner of my eyes.
Stop it, Sadie! Don't cry for a man!
His touch was still lingering on my body like a brand new emotion. His hands, his touch, his roughness, the way he grabbed me, the way he wrapped me in his manly hold, his scent, his masculinity. I was fucking missing my tormentor.
And then I realised. Maybe, hell could also be one kiss away.
