Chapter 48 Knight with gun
Silas was taking a shower when the door of his bedroom was knocked harshly. His hazel eyes narrowed into slits as he glared at the door. For god's sake! He groaned. His tensed muscles were still stiff as he walked towards the door while wrapping the towel around his waist as he held back the urge to kill the person who disturbed him at this hour.
He was already tired. Last night was still playing with his mind and this led him to spend whole night with his mother, crying and talking like a mentally retarded person. The fact that he was drunk, added gruesome to his dignity. He had never visited his mother drunk.
But the memories were still sober.
Sighing, he opened the door.
"G-Good morning, Master Anderson."
The made bowed her head down, her hands clasped in front and Silas noted the shiver of her fingers as she tried not to look at him.
He raised his brows.
"What?" He didn't tried to mask him annoyance as maid gulped down before speaking.
"A situation h-has raised. Y-your father is looking for you." Silas looked at her with boredom and shrugged his shoulders dismissively.
"I'll be there. You can leave." The maid just opened her mouth to say that they were under attack when Silas slammed the door in her face. The poor woman jumped startled and swallowed hard before rushing towards the back hall, where Alejandro had summoned everyone.
Silas cursed under his breath as he shuffled through his clothes. A slight frown marked between his brows, as his nose twisted in frustration. He had already a lot going on through his mind and he didn't need any more bickering of his father. His thoughts were devastated, consumed and tainted by certain someone.
Sadie.
He sighed as he thought of her. His movements slightly slowed as he found himself thinking of her. He suddenly wanted to see her. To drown into her soft brown eyes, to caress her soft skin, to feel her warmth pressed against his cold body. He knew she was opposite of him every possible way.
She was breeze he needed to breathe, the drop of rain to his deserted heart. The water to quench his thirst. He needed her, he wanted her. She and already caressed the part of him the world had broke. She was a balm to his wounded soul.
He sighed as he licked a white shirt randomly before buttoning it up.
Shaking his head he tried not to think about her. If he would think more, it would be harder for him to execute his plan. He had already spend whole night planning and managing how he would make everything right, and now when the time was near, he couldn't afford to mess up.
Silas buttoned the last button and ruffled his wet hair to get rid of excess water.
He needed to see his father first and after that he would go to see her, to talk to her. He nodded coming in terms with himself. There was no going back now, what's decided was decided.
Silas opened the door as he was about to walk outside when he saw a rushing guard coming his way. Silas narrowed his eyes. Why were everyone so rushed today? He thought as guard stopped in front of him.
The guard's eyes widened as he looked at Silas, his hands shivered slightly as he gulped down. Silas raised his brow as guard looked him up and down. His lips twisted his annoyance as he glared at him.
"The fuck you looking at?" Silas asked with cold voice. The guard gulped down as he shook his head.
"Y-Your p-"
"I am already informed. Don't fret yourself, I'm going to meet him. You can leave." Silas waved his hand dismissively as guard lowered his eyes and bowed slightly.
Silas again ruffled his wet locks as he mumbled something under his breath whilst he starred walking towards his father's room when the guard stopped him.
Silas took a deep breath to calm himself as he closed his eyes whilst pinching the bridge of his mose and turned around to glare at him.
"What?" His voice hardened when guard contemplated if he should speak or not. But he decided to do when he realise that Silas would kill him of he didn't. He looked away before rubbing the back of his neck uncomfortably before he opened his mouth.
"Y-your pants, sir." Silas narrowed his brows as he looked down at himself when he realised he was not wearing any pants. He threw his head back as he closed his eyes and groaned.
"Fuck!" He growled as he opened the door of his room before slamming it shut.

Sadie was still not capable to digest the news. Silvio was here. For her? He wondered. He felt both relieved and anxious. It was mandatory to feel either way. It dawned upon her, as she walked behind Edward. She was scared now that Alejandro had threw her in hands of a monster. She was startled by the way Alejandro left as soon as he heard they were under attack.
Not longer, when Edward was called and Alejandro whispered something in his ear as he eyes her skeptically. She was fearing the way Edward looked down at her like a prey he was supposed to catch. She tried but couldn't miss the tremble of her fingers, the slight strain of her body and wave of fear down her spine.
"Walk faster." The guard behind her hissed as he pushed her forward. Sadie groaned as her injured ankle pained. Edward was walking forward, his hands deep in his pockets, as he looked forward a with a smirk on his face that Sadie failed to notice.
"Enter." Edward gestured at the door as they walked down the stairs. She gulped and walked further inside, that this entire room represented a basement more than room with unkempt walls and cemented floor. There was only one bed with torn mattress and a table.
Though she knew she was going to kept here without her own will, she was still disquieting seeing dried blood on the floor.
"Sit." Edward motioned at the bed, Sadie grimaced as she sat on the bed, as Edward walked past her and slowly emptied his pockets onto the table. Sadie frowned as he undid the two buttons of his shirt before retrieving something from the table. She heard the click of metal before she saw the restraints.
Her heart raced and she instinctively shifted her legs under the bed. "Why do you need those?"
Edward didn't responded as he crouched down and grabbed her right ankle, securing the cold, biting metal of the clasp around it and the other end around the leg of the bed in spite of her panicked protest. He even locked her wrists together, and though she had about a foot of room with the chain in between each of th cuffs, the unfamiliar tightness of metal digging into her skin made her want to run away.
"There." Edward straightened. "You may have wrapped Silas around your little finger. But I hardly trust you, love."
She scoffed.
"Where did you think I was going to run?"
She flinched as Edward tipped her chin, his fingers caressed her cheek as she felt disgust crawling down her spine.
"Perhaps back into your lover's arms, now that he's here." She was scared. Scared of the way he just wanted to keep her away from Silvio.
Eventually, she sighed in relief as he released her and stepped back. He simply watched her with a smirk for awhile before walking towards the room.
"Soon, love. We'll be back in those good old days." She swallowed nervously. His smile faded as he whispered something in guard's ear before winking and left her all to her thoughts.

Silas ran his fingers through his hairs as he walked towards his father's room in hurry. His steps unsure and amid. Tiredness and exhaustion was taking over him slowly.
"You called me?" He asked while opening the door of the room. Alejandro immediately turned around and Silas frowned before noting the pale face of his. His brows narrowed when he saw him loading his gun and few more guns and blades.
"What's going on?" Silas asked roaming his eyes all around. The room looked unkempt. Alejandro's panicked hands clumsily placed gun inside his belt.
"We're under attack. That bastard is here." Alejandro scoffed.
Silas blinked his eyes, processing the information thrown at him. It took him a minute to weigh the words.
He cleared his throat.
So, he was finally here.
"Where's he?" Silas asked. A slight unfamiliar strain in his voice had Alejandro quickly turned around and look at his son.
"Our first and second floor is seized. Guards on each floors are heavily injured and Severin's been shot." The news startled Silas. It wasn't like he hadn't anticipated this, but the first and second floor of the building was build and designed with latest security system, with which one couldn't tamper so easily. They were on fifth floor. Silas calculated for a moment. Twenty guards on third floor and fifteen were on fourth. It would take more thn an hour for Silvio to reach fifth floor.
Then a thought struck his mind as his head snapped towards older man.
"And where's she?" Alejandro noted the urgency in this voice, the slight shiver, laced with underlying fear and anticipation.
"Top floor." Alejandro filled two guns with bullets before placing one inside the sock and other in his back pocket.
Sighing he turned around to gaze confused Silas.
"And what if she tries to escape?" Silas tried to keep his words minimal. He knew if his father would sense any concern for the woman, he wouldn't hold back to use her against him also.
"Don't fret, boy. Edward's with her. He'll be long gone with her till Silvio reaches here." Silas was in shock, his body shook with anger at his father's words. Was there something he wasn't aware of?
"Was there any change in plan I wasn't aware of?" Silas gritted his teeth. The sound lf his teeth grinding agaisnt each other reached his ears and he took deep breaths to calm his anger.
"Yes, of course. I wasn't prepare for Silvio to be here this early. Edward's aware of his work." Alejandro looked coldly into his eyes. "And I want you to keep an out for that minion of his. What was his name again? Oh! Yes! Dante. We can use his father as a liability. This is our chance, so don't fuck it up, boy."
Silas could merely nod his head when he think about Sadie. Last time he had found her with Edward, the fucker was forcing himself on her. Now that he was alone with her, Silas feared the worse.
He nodded before taking the gun from his father while loading it.
He secured gun into his waistband and rushed outside.
Everything was second when it comes to her. His first task was to find her, and take her into his custody. He had to find her before Silvio does.
~~
Sadie cautiously tried to yank the chains off her. Her efforts were in vain but she still was trying. Edward had left her here. And she couldn't comprehend what was going on outside. She desperately wanted to know.
Her wrists had started to bruise now.
She could feel the burn.
Her eyes stung with unshed tears.
"God damn!" She groaned when her attempt again failed. The room was started to dissipate negative vibes now. It was dark despite the gleaming sun in the sky.
The lightheaded over her flickered.
But it never radiated enough light to illuminate the corners of the room. Left on her own, her thoughts ran rapid. Vaguely, she wondered if Silvio would again ever trust her back. The thought was painful. She had betrayed him.
Her head snapped towards the door as she heard a loud gunshot just outside the room. Her blurry vision didn't let her see anything but she could have swore she just heard a gunshot. Panicking, she tried to stand when the restraints hindered her initial step and she fell down on her knees. The cemented floor rubbed against her knees.
But this was least lf her worries now.
She looked fearfully at the door. It wa slow as the knob of the door twisted. Gradually and slowly, the door opened. Sadie was stunned and scared, anxiousness hanging over her neck in a dissipate manner.
Her eyes blinked whilst she adjusted her vision. A shocked expression marked over her face as she gazed towards the door.
There stood a tall, muscular figure of man who always rescue her. She had lost counts, how many times had he saved her?
He was like her knight in shining armour.
Her mouth opened as she breathed out in relief.
"Dante..."
