Chapter 41 The traitor

Wind was chilled, the blazing rays of sun were failing to provide warmth, despite this, I was still not ready to go inside, though Randy had come to take me three time. According to him, Silas wanted to see me. Deep inside I knew he had nothing to say to me, but he might be worried if I would try to escape. Well, his worries were valid.
Not only I wanted to escape, I also seeked some answers. Not yo forget how I was getting more paranoid by passing second. The situation no longer was in my hands, I had already lost the privilege. Which however made me wonder of Silvio knew where I was.
I admit I had only spend countable months with devil himself, but the fragments I had of him were enough to make me understand how vast his connections were. Not only he owned more than enough properties in New York, I had once overhear Micah saying how many more investments he had made.
Also, he was a mafia leader. As much as I know, leaders possess many things, more than a normal being. He had technology. Then why he still wasn't here? It was more than day and half.
Possibilities were, either Alejandro had cunningly succeeded in keeping his location hidden or Silvio didn't wanted me anymore.
The latter thought pierced my heart, a unbearable force clutched around my chest.
The moments we shared flew past me in waves as I spend more gime away from him. He had emptied himself into me and I had drank all up not leaving a single drop. It was absurd, but in the way, I had started to fall for him. With love, warmth and happiness, however for a small amount of time, I had blindly accepted my fate. But lately, I had been understanding the real meaning.
When you are with someone having nothing that connects you both but a pull or a physical attraction, the thread that binds you both and rots and dies with time. But if your souls are connected, no inevitable power holds the power break it, the bond grows stronger. It creates something.
An unbreakable bond.
Yes, Silvio and I felt the pull the moment our eyes collided, the moment he decided I was his and he was mine. I was bold enough to make the statement I no longer could not keep. And some nights, even days, we had reached the limits, break the barriers that separates us.
My chest tightened, my joy tainted by the familiar squeeze of self-loathing and guilt. Maybe there would come a day when I wouldn't feel so conflicted, so torn about needing a man I betrayed. I also couldn't forget what he was and what he's done.
I also couldn't let go of the shame of knowing I was falling for the man who was responsible for my current situation. I couldn't pretend the man I had been wanted to cling like he was my lifeline didn't intended to keep me captive for rest of our lives.
Where there was infatuation, other factor also affected our relationship.
Sound of tires screeching fell upon my ears as I hurriedly looked to my right. A shiny, sleek black car was parked right outside the door of the building. Though the building looked shabby and little constructed from outside, I saw underground parkings and a large garden, in which I was roaming at the moment.
I blinked my eyes rapidly as door kf the car was opened.
My eyes widened in shock.
"LEAVE ME YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!" Someone growled from other side. Two men, dressed in all black, wearing same charcoal masks, dragged a elderly man out of the car.
"Shut up!" One of the masked man snapped at old man, who was strangely dressed in a pale blue hospital gown. My breath seized as one of the man pointed at me. "YOU! Come here!"
He barked, motioning me towards him.
I swallowed as I quickly hurried towards the men. Not because he ordered me. No. The old man was injured, blood was seeping through his right arm.
"What're you doing?! Leave him!" My voice matched his growl.
"Shup up and follow." One of them again snapped. Their rudeness was getting on my nerves really. Scoffing at him, I went to follow him. If it wasn't for the old man, I would had slap the shit off his face.
The old man yelled as he thrashed in hold of two men holding him. One lf them suddenly grabbed me by the arm as he followed behind other two.
"Treat him." He pushed us inside the room as I stumbled. If it wasn't for the bunker bed in way, I sure was going to get my head bust open. I eyed the small space with cream-colored walls decorated with cement patches.
"Who the fuck are you?!" I was surprised as old man yelled at me. I blinked surprisingly.
"I'm doctor. I can help you." I assured him as he looked at me skeptically. His eyes narrowed, a deep frown resting on his wrinkled forehead. His dark brown eyes calculating and hard. I was handed a medical kit as one of the men pushed me forward.
"Be quick." I looked over my shoulder to give him an irritated glare.
I helped the man rolling the sleeves of his gown as he groaned clutching his arm.
He was quiet strong by the way he handled pain as I stitched his cut. It wasn't that deel but it still required stitches. It looked like someone had stabbed his arm.
Keenly, I wiped the blood first, applied ointment after stitched and wrapped the gauze around, not to apply more pressure. After fixing his wound, I ran my hand through my long brown hair. The moment I was done, one of the masked men pointed his gun at old man. I gasped as another one grabbed my arm.
I didn't clean his wound only for him to die!
"What're-"
"Stay here."
With this, I was dragged outside again. The force with which he had clasped my elbow, made me almost trip over the stairs. Not to mention, my foot was still sprained.
I groaned as he pushed me inside the room I was previously assigned in and locked the door from outside. It was so random. I scoffed as I limped towards the bed. God knows what was wrong with men these day? They treat women like someone of no use, without realising how big impact they had on everyone's lives.
Why act like a barbarian?
My thoughts were suddenly so spontaneous. Not to forget how much stomach was grumbling. Of course it would, I haven't had anything in past Twenty-four hours. Who knows if Silas would drug my food again. The thought was so disturbing that I almost froze. Almost.
My hunder was getting was hold on me, and I didn't knew for how long I would be able to keep myself together.
Then suddenly a random thought popped in my brain.
Since, I was allowed to roam inside the building, it wasn't silly to asume that there was also a kitchen! Perfect! I could go there and sneak some food, without anyone realising it. Just hope for Silas not to be there.

"Why don't you just open yoir mouth..."
I inconspicuously pulled out a small switchblade that was given to me by my father, from the pockets of my pants. The bastard was breathing heavily and didn't noticed as I lifted the blade above him. I rammed it as hard as i could into his thigh until it went all the way through the muscle hitting bone.
He screamed out in pain, throwing his head back with eyes closed shut.
"Did you know there are three major muscles in thigh that allow you to walk." I said dragging the switchblade out of his bleeding leg.
"Four in the knee." I said ramming the blade right above his kneecap causing him to scream as he struggled on chair. He was tied to chair, so it was not possible for him go anywhere.
I crouched down to his level.
"I'll ask again. Who do you work for?" I demanded.
"I don't fucking know, you crazy bastard!" He spat.
Looked like he was fed up from his life.
The plan was oddly simple. I was just talking on my phone with one of my detectives when I noticed one of men going into basement. It shouldn't be absurd. But the basement he was going to was locked since years since my father died. And strangely, only I had key to that room. I was quiet startled when I found the same key in his pocket.
This time, I took out my gun and pressed it harshly over his wounded leg as he squirmed in agony.
"I'm not quiet good with guns, you see. I don't want to kill you but I don't know where my next target will be..." I pressed the gun more into his cut.
I leaned down, closer to his ear.
"Who....do...you...work for?"
His whole body trembled, I was sure by now he was wet himself also.
"I-I can't tell you." He whispered, lowering his head. I was agitated when few tears left his eyes as he started crying.
I scoffed grabbing him by the hairs, tilting his head.
"A name. Just a fucking name." I muttered. I couldn't believe one of my men betrayed me like this. I had spend my blood, sweat and tears while training them and that's how they repay me! Well, it just confirmed one thing, no one could be trusted.
"I CAN'T! SHE'LL KILL MY FAMILY!"
She?
I sighed. He looked like a tough nut to crack. Raising my gun, I shot his left leg. His scream echoed in empty basement. I was not a patient man, I didn't knew if he wouldn't tell me, how easily I was going to kill him. He might not cared for his life, but his words could clear some of my unsolved mysteries.
He still wasn't ready.
I raised my gun again, pointing it to his shoulder. Looked like he alos was going to lose his left arm too. Just as I was about to pull the trigger, he decided to talk.
"I'll tell you! I'll tel you! Just don't kill me, please!" Just like anticipated, he started begging. Why making me waste my bullet when eventually you were going to talk!
I nodded my head.
"Speak."
His eyes shed more tears. Whoever had threatened him, had done a good job because the man was so stubborn to say anything. Not only he had spend more than five years with me, in here, in this mansion, but he also knew my ways of torturing my enemies.
"S-she will kill my family. Please, understand me." He cried, his sobs resonating through four confined walls.
"I'll save them, only if you'll tell me her name." I assured him, placing my hand over his shoulder amd squeezing him with assuringly.
It was ironic to think that few moments agao, I wanted to blow his same shoulder off.
"S-she gave me two hundred thousand dollars to tamper with the footages when M-Ms. Quintin escaped." My jaw hardened as I glared at him.
Control, Silvio. Control.
But it was getting harder. I couldn't control my anger, but I was challanging myself to control the way I respond to what he was saying.
He must had noted my rage as he immediately quipped.
"Please! I...I didn't knew...I even declined but she-she threatened me! My wife, my son, she has abducted both of them!"
"Did you knew about Andersons involvement in Sadie's escape?"
If, only if he knew about Andersons involvement, it would further clarify one thing. The 'she' he was talking about, was also working with Alejandro. Which ultimately would make her a traitor.
He nodded.
Fuck.
"Name? Her name." I muttered. My beast no longer wanted to be on least. I wmated to destroy, to unleash my inner rage, to kill, to
