**Rain**

Caleb keeps holding me on his lap while silence sets over the office. I am sure he did expect me to be mad about Sky. While I feel a little sad that Caleb had a child with another woman, I can't cause a scene and blame him for what happened. It wasn't as if he had another choice.
Safia sends me pics of her running with a pup through the forest, and I know she is happy that she will be a mum. I know she will protect and care for Sky as if she were our daughter.
"You want to help me with Sky?" Caleb asks me. "Are you sure you are not mad about me having a child with another female?"
"Do you want me to be mad?" I ask, a bit surprised.
"You have all the right to be," Caleb says
Maybe he feels guilty, and causing a little scene will help him. I am not sure I am a good actress but here goes nothing. "How dare you be forced into a rut by the evil witch and the Queen 'that-will-be-soon-dead-for-everything-she-did,' and have a child with a vampire chick that tried to help you when you most needed her?" I say in a serious tone. And to add more effect, I fold my arms and arch an eyebrow.
Caleb is serious for a moment. He chuckles softly, buries his face in the crook of my neck, and gives it a soft kiss. "You don't usually react as I think you would. Minutes earlier, I thought that I would have to beg for forgiveness." He lifts his head, and from Safia, I know he has a serious expression. "I don't know what to think about Sky. I never expected her, as I never expected to have such an understanding soulmate. Thank you for wanting to help me raise Sky." He puts a hand on my stomach. "But I want you to know that you are the only female I wanted to see round with my pup."
"Maybe I am not her biological mother," I say, "but I think Sky was meant for us. She is the child we could never have." Caleb is confused, and I wonder if all males are so thick. I sigh. "I am Fire; you are Ice, and Sky is Water."
"You are amazing, do you know that?" Caleb asks. "Accepting Sky without any question as you did, not many females would have done the same."
I look out the window for a few moments. "I grew up without parents. I never knew what it was to be hugged by a mother or a father. While growing up, I had so many questions, and I had no one to talk to about them. Mr. Smith is a great teacher and is probably the only person in my life that came close to being like a father, but when my body started changing, I was ashamed to ask about what was happening to me. He did a great job teaching me about myself and how an Omega body works, but in those moments, I wanted my mom." I swallow hard when I remember Mr. Smith explaining how my body will change and react to pheromones when I go into heat. Especially those of an Alpha, because Omegas are supposed to be little greedy bitches and beg Alphas to knot them. "I don't know how to be a father because my own parents treated me like shit, but I'm so happy I have you next to me to help me with Sky, but I am so lost right now. Damn, when I woke up, all I thought about was announcing the Elders of our mating ceremony and sitting down with you so we can plan it. Hours later, not only do we still have to do that, but we need to learn how to be parents."
I think Caleb is stressed and not sure how to help him. Safia sends me the image of one of the books Viki lend me.
I circle his neck with my arms and put my lips close to his ear, "Later, when we are in our room, I will make you feel really good."
He growls. "Fuck, Red. Ever since I licked that little pussy of yours, I still have your taste on my tongue. You know what will make me feel really good?" I shake my head. "Eat you all night long!"
Holy peach! The way this male talks! He is the enemy of my panties because I am pretty sure I am soaked right now.
Caleb inhales deeply and growls even louder. He tries to stand, but I push him back.
"While I would like nothing more than to put my ass on your desk, open my legs and let you have your wicked way with me, I think we should cheek on Sky," I say.
"I am sure Sky is fine." Caleb looks at his desk. "Fuck! Each time I will sit down to work, I will imagine you on it with my head between your legs. Or my cock buried deep inside you!"
"You are welcome!" I say.
Not gonna lie, I like how that sounds. I wonder how Caleb Black fucks. Is he one of those guys that are sweet and holds your hand while making love with you, or the guy that fuck you so hard and raw until your soul leaves your body?
Caleb leans his head on the sofa and chuckles. "Red, even if I live another thousand lives, I will want you to be my soulmate in each one. I love you."
Parts of the wall I build around my heart fall, and I know it won't be long until I love him back.
Safia is already in love with Raven and Caleb.
"You make me happy, Caleb. And I can hardly wait for you to take me to the Ritual Stones!"
"Soon," he says.
"How soon is soon?"
"After Christmas?" Caleb asks, and I nod. "Then I will contact the Elders today," he says before kissing me.
The door to the office opens, and I break the kiss as fast as I can.
"Look, Kathy, they are kissing!" I hear Sky giggle. "Are they married?"
I stand as fast as I can. My cheeks burn a little while I ponder how to answer Sky's question.
Sky and Katherine enter the office, and Caleb goes to his daughter. He kneels and looks at Sky.
"Marriage is a term used by humans. Werewolves have a special bonding ceremony at the Ritual Stones," Caleb explains. "And to answer your question, Red and I are not bounded. At least not yet."
Sky looks at Katherine. "Kathy, can we see the ceremony?"
Katherine looks first at Caleb, then at Sky. "I am not the one that can reply to that question. Besides, I will leave soon. You are safe here and no longer need me."
Both Sky and Katherine's scents change, and I can smell their pain. While I am not happy with Katherine hurting Caleb, I can't deny that she took care of Sky.
"Don't leave!" I say while I get close to her. "You have been part of Sky's life since she was born, and it will break her heart if you go." I look at Caleb. "If that is okay with you."
Caleb looks at Katherine. "Whatever happened in the past, I don't blame you. I know that you have been forced to do it. Stay. Sky needs you."
By scent, Katherine seems surprised. "Thank you! Both of you! And congratulation on your upcoming bonding ceremony!"
Caleb stands. "Talking about that, I need to make some phone calls. Katherine, I will also need your information to register you as a pack member."
Katherine nods. "I have everything you need in my purse." She points at the coffee table—a pink purse and a child backpack are on it. "You have everything you need in there!"
"While you take care of that, I will show Katherine and Sky around the pack!" I say.
Caleb kisses my cheek. "See you during lunch?" I nod. He looks at Katherine. "I will have two rooms ready for you and Sky. They will be close to the room I share with Red."
"I get to have my room?" Sky asks.
I smile. "Yes. Would you like that?" Sky nods. "We can decorate it as you like it!" Caleb goes to his desk. "But before we do that, you should meet the other kids," I say to Sky.
Katherine helps Sky put on her coat before we leave Caleb's office. I have a jacket on a coat racket close to the entrance, and I take it before we go outside.
"You have a very interesting name," Katherine says. "I never met someone called Red until you."
"My name is actually Rain, but for a reason, Caleb likes to call me Red. I am still trying to figure out why he doesn't use my name," I reply.
Sky looks at me, "I like Rain more than Red. Can I call you Rain?"
I smile. "You can call me as you like."
As we walk, I explain to Katherine what I know about the pack and the houses. She looks impressed with what Caleb did.
While I can't see her face, Katherine has short, wavy brown hair. Safia lets me know that her eyes are also brown. She seems like a nice female, and while I am still upset that she hurt Raven and Caleb, I know she did it because the Vampire Queen forced her. I am curious to know the real Katherine. What would she have been like if she had not been a slave.
While we walk around, Sky looks at how some pups are building a snowman in front of a house. One of them, a male, makes a sign to Sky to join them.
"Do you want to go and play?" I ask Sky.
She looks at Katherine. "Can I, Kathy?" When Katherine nods, Sky runs over to where the other children are playing.
We watch her for a few moments. Soon Sky is laughing, and I am happy she is making friends fast.
Someone hugs me from behind, and I stiffen.
"I thought we were friends!" I hear Viki pout in my left ear, and I relax. "I even let you borrow my alien porn books!"
Some teen werewolves walk past us, and I hear them snicker. I am pretty sure my face turn into fifty shades of red.
"Viki!" I hiss.
A second later, I hear Sarah's voice. "Let her breathe!"
Viki lets go of me and turn on my heels. "Of course, we are friends!"
"Then why haven't you come to see me as soon as you returned to the pack? Do you know how worried I have been while you were missing?" She looks at Katherine. "Hi! You must be Katherine!"
"News travels fast around here!" Katherine says.
Sarah laugh. "Let's go to my house. We can eat and drink something while we talk. Katherine, you are also invited."
Katherine looks at me. "Let me tell Sky where she can find us."
Once Sky learns which one is Sarah's house, the other females and I leave the children to play.
Sarah leads us to her house, and once we are in the kitchen, I look out the window, wanting to be sure nothing happened to Sky.
"You are already acting like a mom," Katherine whispers to me. "But you don't need to worry; Sky is used to playing outside with other children."
I nod and go help Sarah prepare some snacks while Viki makes some hot chocolate.
"Why haven't you told me Caleb will finally take you to the Ritual Stones?" Viki asks once we are sitting at the table. "If not for Conon, I would live in ignorance!"
Sarah claps her hands. "You will need a dress and new shoes!"
"I don't have any money," I say.
Sarah laughs. "You don't need to worry about money! Caleb has more than enough!"
I want to protest because I don't want to spend Caleb's money, but Viki speaks next.
"We are going to organize a bachelorette party for you!" Viki says in a very loud tone. I frown. "We must celebrate your last days as a free female!"
Sarah looks at Viki. "Where are we taking her?"
"To Bucharest, of course!" Viki says.
I am not convinced about this party. "What are we going to do?"
Viki shrugs. "You know, the typical, drink, tell jokes, gifts..."
"Going to a male strip club," Sarah adds.
Katherine chokes on her drink while I am left speechless.
