Chapter 18

Elijah hopes that the news of his involvement in the incident does not reach her Daddy and that not everyone is aware that Harris Blake's wife is trespassing. When that happens, it's extremely embarrassing. Harris's gaze was visible in her vision.

"So you're not going to tell me what's going on there?" Harris asked.
"I know you already know that, so I won't explain; I'm just helping Kara and Nico," she replied.

"Did you know what you did there was wrong? You made a scene, and what if Nico is the father of the pregnant woman?" Harris questioned.

Elijah simply shrugged.

"What if you get cornered as Nico did? Will you leave me to take responsibility for that woman?" she wondered.

"Certainly not!"

"Exactly. Nico was very in love with Kara and faithful too. So who am I to not help? I want my friends' happiness. Nico is a nice man, he told us that he never sleeps with that woman. And he doesn't know her. Can't you see his reaction? Is worried about everything that was going on. Who would be happy if you married a woman you don't love except if you don't have another loved one?

Elijah sat on  Harris's lap.
"What are you up to, Sweetheart?" he asked.
"Isn't it exciting to make love inside the car?"

Elijah laughs at her husband's expression. His brow furrowed as if he didn't approve of what she had done.

"Get out in front, and I'll drive. They might think we've done a miracle here."

"Of course not, because we're married," Elijah replied, smiling.

Harris felt hot from what his wife did, especially since she was wearing hot clothes. Elijah wasn't even naked in his presence. He hasn't seen it in a few days. Elijah sat neatly next to him, leaving his lap. He began driving away. Harris was already drenched in sweat. He wants to take a bath and get dressed so that the heat he is feeling will go away. They were in front of the house's gate an hour later. Lucy let the car in by opening the gate. The time was six o'clock. Elijah was the first to leave and enter the house. He then followed.  He couldn't see his wife when he entered the room maybe she was in the kitchen.

So Harris changed out of his office clothes and entered the shower room. He stepped into the shower and stretched his body. He felt at ease as water flowed through his body. He had not been able to use the soap when the door unexpectedly opened and his wife entered naked. Harris swallowed, seeing his wife naked is too much for him. Even more so, her naked body was clinging to him. Harris's entire body began to sweat, so he kissed his wife on the lips.

"Hmmm," Elijah could only mutter as he listened.

He leaned against the wall and kissed her lips passionately as his hand moved over her naked body. Harris ignored the coldness of the water, preferring to feel the blazing heat that came from their kisses with his wife. This is such a strange feeling. He has never changed his feelings for his wife over the years and months. Every day is a blessing for him because he has found someone willing to accompany him for the rest of his life. A few minutes later, they were naked on the bed, under the blanket.

"We ate each other before we ate dinner," Elijah told him.

"Yeah, Sweetheart. Thank you for always loving me," he replied.
"You are most welcome."

Elijah stood up and changed his clothes.

"Get up there first, and we'll eat," it instructed.

"Okay."

As a result, they both exited the room and went to the kitchen. They noticed Lucy preparing food.

"Sit down, sir and ma'am; the food is ready," Lucy said to them.

"The smell of what you cooked, Lucy; you have the makings of a future chef," he says.

"Thank you very much, sir."

He drew Elijah out of the chair and sat down next to him. He also took food and began to eat.

"Lucy, where do you live?" Harris asked.

"In the province, sir. We just had a hard life there, but I still studied somehow, but I didn't take it anymore because I couldn't handle my boss's habits there. The jobs are okay because it's normal. a working student, but the habit can no longer cope," Lucy replied.

"What course did you take?" he asked once more.

"Being a doctor is my dream, but we don't have any money."

"It's okay to dream; do you want to study?" Elijah asked.
"I wish."
"OK, you can study, and we'll send you to school," it says.

"Really? But the tuition is quite high."

"There's no problem with the tuition fee; you'll be working here with us anyway; we don't have children yet, so you won't have much to do here; you can still study," Elijah explained.

Harris grinned. He wants them to have a child, but it's fine with him if they don't. There is no issue between the two of them; perhaps it is not yet time for them to receive new blessings. They are a nearly perfect couple. All that is missing is a child.
They went inside the room to sleep after eating. The following day, Elijah awoke early because it was the first day of her plan and work. She is not going there to be a guest, but to work hard. She was no longer a boss's wife, but a simple employee. She is aware that her husband became enraged when he discovered the truth and what she was doing.  She went straight into the shower room and took a bath.

She first changed into simple house clothes and exited the room. She was on her way to the kitchen when she noticed Lucy preparing a dish. Elijah laughed. This is an example of a committed woman. A man was extremely fortunate to have Lucy in their life too dedicated to work.

I merely awoke early.
"Good morning, ma'am. You awoke early; it's only five o'clock on my watch."
"Why did you wake up in the morning as well?" she inquired.

Lucy only smiled.

"I work here with you, so I can't sleep in."

"Lucy, we don't consider you a maid here, but rather a family member, so it's fine if you cook breakfast later," she explains.

"Isn't it okay? Now you're at work?" she inquired.

"Shhh, don't be too loud, we might hear," she warns.

"Yes, and how was your walk yesterday?" Lucy inquired.

"It's fine; and then, since he hasn't woken up yet, I'm going to ask you something today."

"What exactly is it?"

"Would you be willing to teach me how to cook?"

"That's fine."
Lucy handed her an apron, which she donned. Lucy prepared the food and cooked it. She demonstrates how to make Harris' favorite dishes. Every day, she would send it to the office for Harris. She finally cooked it a few hours later and tasted it with Lucy. And she was grateful because the flavors matched. So she was content. She only had three pieces of the dish, so she put them in a disposal Tupperware and hid them in her mini-fridge so Harris wouldn't see them. Harris entered the kitchen at seven a.m., dressed in business attire. He smiled at Lucy as he kissed her cheek.

"Sit down, sweetheart," she says, "we're going to eat."

"I'm sorry, but there are early investors in the office waiting for me," he said, kissing her cheek.

"It's fine," she said.

"By the way, Lucy. You'll take Ma'am Elijah with you later. Enrollment at the university I know of has begun. Enroll there if you have any requirements. Inquire first if you don't have any," Harris said.

"Thank you, sir, but I already had it with me, just in case."

"That's fine; I have to leave, sweetheart; take care."

"Goodbye," she says.

Elijah sat on the chair after closely inspecting the house to see if Harris had left.

"Let's eat, Lucy. I'll take you to university later; maybe you'll be fine if you're alone there," she suggested.

"Yes."

They were inside the taxi a few minutes later. She no longer brought a car to save time. Lucy was the first to drop, and she was the last.
She arrived at the office at eight o'clock in the morning. It's a good thing she made it and wasn't late. She's still wearing her wig. She walked slowly inside the building and straight to the interview room, but she returned for a moment to where the guard was and handed him the Tupperware he had brought with only food. She put a note on it for Harris to read.

"What is this for, ma'am?" the guard asked.

"Please give that to Mr. Harris Blake. Breakfast is from a company employee, and don't tell him I gave it to him. Let's talk later," Elijah said.

"All right, ma'am."

Elijah entered the office again. And all of her coworkers are staring at her. She has reason to smile.

"Good morning, everyone; am I late?" she inquired.

But everyone was frowning. Maybe they didn't realize she was new.

"I'm Eli, the new employee here, and I'll be assigned here," she introduces herself.

"Welcome," everyone said.

She walked into Mrs. Acosta's office. When she walked in, she was preoccupied with something.

"Good day, ma'am."

She gave her a look and sweetest smile.

"Hello. Good morning. You're too early," she said.

She chuckles.

"I'm a simple employee now, ma'am," she replied, "so treat me fairly like them; we're in disguise now."

Mrs. Acosta gave a shake of her head.

"All right, you said it. If Mr. CEO finds out I told him about your plan, he'll be furious."

"Relax, ma'am; you will not be affected. Where is my table?" she inquired.

"Are you certain you're going to do office work?" she inquired.

"Yes, it appears that my plan will be convincing," Elijah replied.

"Alright, there you are," it says, pointing to a vacant table with a computer turned on.

"Who is in charge here?" she inquired.

"Nothing; I had that ready for you."

"I appreciate it."

She took a seat. While her gaze was fixed on the computer monitor.

"Oh, Mrs. Bl...

"You can call me Eli. Ma'am," she replied, laughing.

"All right, that document on the table is something you can encode and print later because it will be needed later," Mrs. Acosta explained.

"That's all right, ma'am."

Her phone rang just as she was about to begin encoding. It's far too loud. Mrs. Acosta caught her gaze. She hoped Harris hadn't called because her plan would have been thwarted if she had.

"You can take that call, Eli; it could be important."

"Yes, sir."

When she picked up her phone, she saw that her Daddy had called.

"Hello, daddy?" she inquired.

"Hi, Princess. When are you coming to visit here at home?" his father inquired over the phone.

"Why? Maybe tonight?"

"Nothing. Fine, I'll wait for you."

"That's fine."

She went to work after he hung up the phone. She was so preoccupied that she forgot to visit her father.

Harris was preoccupied with paperwork, but he couldn't ignore the signal from his stomach. He then regrets not eating Lucy's prepared food earlier because it still smells good, so he is now like a very hungry dog. His secretary left, but he has yet to return, and he also forgot to buy food. His secretary entered through the open door, carrying a plastic bag. It landed directly in front of him.

"What is that?" he asked.

"Food, sir," Mark replied. "The guard gave it to me outside, and an employee allegedly gave it to you."

"Who?"

"The name was not spoken for as long as it was given to you," he replied.

"It could be poisonous, Mark; you can eat first, and then I'll," Harris said.

He refused to eat it because he didn't know who gave it to him. He does not accept food that appears out of nowhere.

Mark bursts out laughing. He walked up to his table and opened the paper bag. Harris frowned as Mark suddenly smiled.
"What's the matter?" he inquired.

"You can see for yourself, sir, but it appears that you'll have an instant secret admirer," Mark said.

"What?"

He took a look inside the paper bag. Four disposable Tupperware containers containing three side dishes and one rice. He frowned because every dish was his favorite. But it was a blue sticky note on top of the Tupperware that drew his attention. There is also another message written. Mark grabbed the note from him and began reading it.

"Good morning, Handsome. I love you."

Mark grinned when he looked him in the eyes.

"When you got married, you suddenly have a secret admirer, sir, and when your wife finds out, you'll sleep outside," Mark says.

"Shut up! Taste it first," he orders.

Mark tasted the food while wondering who had sent it. He attempted to call Elijah but was unable to reach him. And because he didn't know the note was handwritten, Elijah couldn't do such a thing. He looked at Mark and it appeared to be safe to eat, so he spent a few minutes checking to see if the food was poisonous when he noticed Mark lying on the floor, but it wasn't.

"The taste of this food, sir," Mark said, "and your admirer knows your favorite dish."

So Harris grabbed a plastic spoon and began scooping up the dish and rice. The food was delicious, but it didn't taste like the dish Lucy was cooking, so Elijah couldn't send it. Harris was too full to eat a few minutes later, and he and Mark had eaten everything. He leaned back in his swivel chair as if he couldn't breathe.

He discarded the sticky note. He also instructs Mark to clean the disposable Tupperware, as well as the plastic spoon and fork. Who would have thought of sending him food? He didn't even get a gift before when he was single but now he's married he got to receive it.

The only oddity is that I love you is written at the end.

At the time, Elijah had just finished her work. She had no idea food was on the table. Mrs. Acosta caught her gaze.

"Eat first, Eli."

"Thank you, ma'am. Are you still thinking of me? I'm going out to eat later; I don't want special treatment," she explained.

"I purchased food for the entire staff, Eli; did your husband not inform you that all of his company's employees receive free lunch?"

"I'm not going to be asked," she replied.

Mrs. Acosta nodded. Elijah has no idea who is now in charge of Harris' car shop. She'll never forget where they ran into Harris after she fled. Then Elijah begins.

"I bought food for the entire staff, Eli; your husband didn't tell you that all of his company's employees get free lunch?"

"No, I'm not going to be asked," she said.

Mrs. Acosta gave a nod. Elijah has no idea who now runs Harris' car shop. She'll never forget where they met Harris again after she fled. Elijah then begins to eat.

"Have you eaten yet, ma'am?" she asked.

"I've been gone for a while; you were so engrossed that you didn't notice."

She said goodbye to Elijah and went out for a while to get something to drink. She got past the guard. It gave her a friendly smile.

"I've already handed it over to him, ma'am," he says.

"That's fine. Thank you. Let's talk later; there's a coffee shop there because there are so many CCTV cameras in here," she said softly.

"That's fine."

"Did you eat?"

"Yes."

She walked away and went to the coffee shop.
