Chapter 9
"Oh God, Eli, please talk to me; I know it's you, and I'm going insane trying to find you!" he begged.
"Harris," she said again.
"Eli, where are you? Where are you? Please tell me; I'll accompany you even if you're at the bottom of hell."
"I don't want to ask you for assistance just now..."
"That's nonsense! Just tell me where you are, okay? If you don't, I swear something bad will happen to me!"
Elijah was taken aback. It sounded desperate to see her in his tone.
"I'm standing right in front of where I took your number."
"Huh?"
Harris abruptly opened his office window, which was covered by a venetian blind. A telephone booth stood in front of it, with a man and a woman inside.
"Is that you, Eli? Just stay there, okay? I'll come down."
That was the end of the conversation, and Harris hung up the phone. He then rushed out of his office. He walked until he arrived at the stairwell. When he arrived, he almost jumped down the stairs.
"Sir, are you going home?" asked the awakened guard.
Harris did not respond. Instead, he went directly to the telephone booth.
"Eli!"
Elijah emerged. Harris came to a complete halt. For a brief moment, he looked at Eli's face. She makes certain he does so.
"Harris .."
The man exhaled a sigh. It felt good. He was certain Eli was the one speaking.
"Oh, Eli!"
When he finally approached Elijah, he hugged him without warning and claimed his lips without saying anything. Elijah's eyes dilate as he stared blankly. But after a while, you close your eyes on purpose, and he finds himself responding to his passionate kiss with even more passion.
That was a long moment. They eventually parted their lips and stared at each other.
"I miss you like crazy, Eli." said Harris in a hoarse voice.
"I miss you as well."
"Then why did you abandon me?"
He gently stroked Eli's shoulders.
"Because..."
He couldn't say that because he was aware of her impending marriage.
"Anyway, that doesn't matter anymore, Eli; what matters is that you're back with me, and I'll never let you go again; just come with me, okay?"
"Wait a minute, I have a problem and..."
"Sshh, that's later; come to my car," he told Eli.
As it led Elijah to the parking lot, he was helpless. Harris simply informed the guards about his office before departing.
"Are you certain you killed that Mr. Lorenzo?" Harris inquired.
"I'm not sure; all I know is that he fell to the floor bloody."
Harris simply sighed.
"It's your fault; if you hadn't abandoned me, none of this would have happened."
Elijah bowed without saying anything.
"Alright, there's nothing to blame. What matters is that you're here with me, and you're safe with me," he said affectionately, lifting her face and catching her gaze.
Elijah softly nodded.
"Rest assured we'll talk tomorrow."
"All right."
"Come to your room." And he was even helped to stand.
Holding hands, Harris led her to her room.
Elijah's bed was soft, but no matter how tired her body and mind were because of the nightmares that had happened to her at Mr. Lorenzo, drowsiness is elusive in him. Harris was just in the other room, probably asleep. And now that they are together again, what will happen?
I tried to get away from him, but I just struggled. When she is married, where will I be placed in her world? Elijah suddenly woke up.
But what should I anticipate from him? Except for the fact that he missed me and said he was obsessed with finding me, I knew I had no right to take advantage of that. His heart is already owned by someone else. At the thought, he bit his lower lip. He eventually appeared to be thirsty. She decided to leave her room and go to the kitchen for a drink. The living room is dark and quiet. The maiden entered the kitchen with caution.
"How come you're still awake?" Harris sighed from the shadows.

Elijah nearly jumped.
In response, she asked, "What are you doing there?" Despite the fact that joy was creeping into her heart. Drowsiness eluded her, but she desperately wanted to see Harris again.
"I'm just sleepy."
It switched on the adjacent side table's light. The dim light permeated the living room. Elijah noticed that the wine bottle was nearly half-empty. Harris has started drinking again. Elijah , on the other hand, felt no fear. She sat down next to him without hesitation.
"What's the point of getting drunk?"
"I'm just drowsy; go back to your room," she say.
"It'll be eight o'clock, and you haven't slept yet."
At Elijah's hearing, her voice sounded breathless.
"I can't sleep because I'm afraid in my room."
"Why are you afraid? There's no ghost in your room," he joked.
She didn't say anything. She just kept staring into the man's eyes, who was obviously drunk because he was snoring.
"Hey, why? What's your problem?" asks the alert.
She hugged Harris and placed her face on his shoulder, crying. He caressed her like a child.
"I'm terrified in my room; it's as if Mr. Lorenzo's body is with me."
When Harris felt Elijah's hot body, he didn't move right away. He was able to feel Elijah healthy, soft breasts. It brushed against both of his shoulders. When Elijah felt the body move away from her, she hugged him even tighter. Harris had no choice but to follow the cry of his own will. It wasn't the wine he was drinking that was insane and intoxicating, but Elijah fragrant breath and softness.
It is debilitating and destructive of sanity.
"Eli, we're not sure if you killed him, are we?"
"Even though. I'm not used to seeing blood, especially I'm not used to violence. What if I'm incarcerated?" She was still crying.
"Don't worry, I won't leave you." he tenderly caresses Elijah's hair.
A caress that seemed to give her more hope, hope she was more important here.
"Eli."
"Hmmm?"
She looked up. Their eyes met.
"I really miss you, honey." his drone as its lips slowly descended to hers.
There was no objection on Elijah's side. She seemed to expect Harris to do that. She gladly accepted that kiss, and responded warmly. It was as if they were going back in time, when they momentarily forgot about Harris's cabin. Harris has become even more daring now that he has been longing for Eli for a few days with the hardships he endured while looking for her.
"Eli ..."
He said for a moment to move his lips away from hers. Elijah smiled, inviting. After her experience at the hands of Mr. Lorenzo was the only Harris she wanted to have the right to do that to her.
"Love me, Harris."
"But, Eli."
"I don't want anyone else, Harris. I just want you. I just want you. You're the only one who has the right to do that to me. And I don't want that nightmare to happen again. Please."
Elijah's invitation was insane, especially since that's exactly what Harris had always wanted to do.
"Oh, Eli!"
Harris's temper finally broke. He forgot all the worries of life. It ignored the previous restraint when they were on the ship.
And Elijah was right. After quite a bit of prey at the hands of that bitch, Harris couldn’t have imagined that another man would claim Eli. It always accomplished everything. Until the heat dissipates. At the same time the sun rises in the east. They slept in each other's arms with a smile on their faces.
