Chapter 12

SILVANA

"What the hell are you doing here!" I shouted, but he just kept staring. I followed his eyes only to see part of my boobs were exposed.

"Hey!!" I yelled, covering up. He looked at my face.

"Are you a pervert? What are you doing here?"

"For your first question, I'm not a pervert, you are the one who didn't cover up well. For the.."

"That's because you barged into my room!" I glared.

"I didn't. You had a call so I came to give your phone to you." He said, and I scoffed. "You could have just left it there."

"It rang thrice. Shouldn't that be urgent?" He raised his brows. I rolled my eyes, and pointed out my hands towards him. "The phone."

He walked to me and instead of giving me the phone, he leaned in. I gulped nothing as I stared at him. My brain was telling me to push him, but I don't know why my hand wouldn't move.

He suddenly moved away, and I sighed, loudly. He smiled and gave me the phone before walking out.

I checked the phone only to see missed calls from Mr Gregory. Why was he calling? I dialed his line and he picked immediately.

"Young miss Silvana, I've been calling you." His voice came up.

"Sorry, was not with my phone. What's up though?" I asked.

"So, I released an article about our deal with Mr James, and guess what? We have two new people asking to partner with us."

"Really? That's surprising."

"Yeah, really surprising. I should give them an audience, right?"

"Yes, of course." I rushed and he chuckled. "Will do as you said. See you tomorrow."

"Yeah, bye." I said and hung up.

"This is really nice." I mumbled, dropping my phone on the dressing table. I went into the walk-in closet. In a few minutes, I was cladded in fluffy pajamas.

I left the room and went downstairs. James was standing by the window side, looking out. He must be really eager to go home. Rolling my eyes, I walked towards him.

"You want coffee?" I asked and he turned away from the window to look at me.

"Sure. Black coffee."

"Picky." I sneered and walked to the kitchen. I opened the packet where the coffee is normally placed, but there was nothing there. I checked the other cabinets but they were all empty.

"You've not made the coffee yet." James walked in and I looked at him before sighing.

"There is nothing here, no food, coffee too." I groaned and he chuckled, shaking his head. "So you have nothing to eat in this house."

"I'm sure there was something, but..." I stopped as my mind went to Xander. He was not home and his car was nowhere to be found, and... I rushed upstairs to his room only to find he had left. That means he already left, but he took all the food along with him.

"That bastard.."

"Is something wrong?" I turned my head to James who was standing on the stairs.

"He took everything."

"Who?"

"Xander, my cousin. I asked him to leave the house, and he left but with all the food in the house." I mumbled, going to the stairs.

"Really? That's childish." James said we began heading downstairs.

Just as we were about to get to the last of the stairs, i slipped.

"Ahh!!!" I yelled as I started going down, but James caught me, pulling me up.

I heaved as I landed on his chest. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." I looked up at his face to see him smiling.

"You can let go now." I mumbled, looking at his arms at my waist.

"I don't want to." His voice was a bit hoarse as he talked.

"What do you mean?" I chuckled nervously and tried to move away but his hold tightened on my waist.

"I really don't want to do this, but I can't seem to hold myself back." He whispered, and before I knew it, his lips landed on mine.

My eyes went wide as he started moving his lips against mine. He bit my lips and I gasped out, he used that chance to sleep his tongue into my mouth. I slowly closed my eyes and began kissing me back. He drew impossible closer as we kissed harder. He tasted like vanilla, it was sweet and addicting, but I shouldn't be doing this.

Pushing him off, I moved back as I catched my breath.

"We shouldn't do this." I said lowly, before turning on my heels, and going upstairs. When I got to my room, I opened the door and went in, shutting the door loudly.

Arrgh! I shouldn't have kissed him back. I covered my face with my hands, burying it in my laps. The sound of the door getting shut made me sprang up. I went to the window side. I watched as he walked out of the house to his car, he drove out after.

The rain had already stopped, so it was okay to go home, but I still felt bad for leaving him there. I bit my lower lip and turned away from the window, going to my bed.

I shouldn't feel bad, he kissed me first which was wrong, and even though I kissed him back, it's just... Ah. I don't know! I stood up and took my phone from the dressing table before going back to bed. I went online to see if I would find anything interesting.

As I scrolled through the internet, I came across the article conveying the news of my partnership with James. I smiled broadly, as I stared at it. Everything is coming to place now, Xander is gone, the company has a new chance to bloom, then the house, I still need to fix the house. I will do a little renovation, employ new staff, but first, I will shop for groceries tomorrow since Xander decided to be childish.
