The girl

Linda didn't mean to eavesdrop on their conversation, a week ago, he had heard them talk about a girl. she couldn't just help the burning curiosity inside of her.
Who was the girl they talked about. Why was Albert so keen on finding her?
It has only leave her more confused and perplexed.

Was this the connection they both had, Peru and her husband, because of the girl. Who was she?
What exactly is going on. He made mention of her killing Lucas, if she did killed Lucas why was he so interested in her, why does her want to end her so badly?.
And there was only one way to find out. Or she shouldn’t, but she was curious to know who the girl was and what has she done to her husband. The even his voice quavers a little when they were talking about her.

She had to find out, and if she does find out, what next, report to the police, won’t that seems so foolish of her to do.
What would she do, if she did find the girl.
She wrapped her hands over her pajamas, and sips the hot tea. It was still early. She couldn’t sleep she had been so bothered about it. And she doesn’t know why, Albert didn’t come out of his study last night. She’d knocked several times he refused to open up. Demanding He needed to be alone. Which baffles her.
He didn’t eat dinner either.

She had offered to bring the dinner to his room but he didn’t open up either.
Maybe she could try this morning, if he would open the door. If he doesn’t, she might as well decides to break it. That’s if he doesn’t up open before the end of the day.
She sips from it, and dropped it.

Her sins were unforgivable, reasons Dixon still couldn’t forgive her.
She exhaled.
It was never her intention to kill his first love, she knew he loved her, the girl from his senior year in college but she was unworthy of him. People from the lower class won’t do any good to him. That was what she thought until she died in her hands. He hated her from that moment.
While all she was thinking about was her son, she didn’t want her to hurt him.
She didn’t want him to get hurt. She had to come into his love life and eventually she destroyed it.
How could Dixon forgive her.

She suddenly desires for some alcohol.
Maybe it could help. Forget about the awful memories of her past.
Right now, she only cares about her son, Dixon, to forgive her. But, it doesn’t seems like that would happen anytime soon.
"Mom!"
"Mom!"

Bruce yelled on her face.
"Down to earth, mother "
"Ohh Bruce!"
She exclaimed.
"What were you thinking?”
“Is that a good morning,”

“What difference does it make. What were you thinking.” He drew out a chair and sat down, taking a gulp from Linda’s tea.
“Sad stuff of my past. I had with Dixon, I felt bad, seeing him cried that night. I felt awful as a mother, I had never being a good mother to him, that’s why I’m trying so hard to try and fixed it. But I don’t know what else to do.”

“Why waste your time thinking about it. He would forgive soon. I believe it won’t be long anymore. Everyone make mistakes, you shouldn’t count yourself worse. Even Dixon himself to makes mistakes, we just have to correct them. As far as we’ve come to accept our mistakes.”
For the past years, he had saw and watched their mother change and began reflecting on her actions.
She eyed him suspiciously. And folded her hands.

“Is this Bruce? Or someone else, what happened to my stubborn son.”
She ran her hands over him.
“C’mon Mom, it’s still me.”
“Oh I see, you need some money, look you’re all dressed up. Where are you off to? No wonder you were saying all that. Now I get it. Because the Bruce I know wouldn’t say that.”

“Just a few cash to go over to where Dixon’s car is.”
“And where is that?”
“Somewhere far from the town.”
"What about the money you stole, from the company.”
He rolled his eyes.
"I'll pay back "
"You always do.”

“Then tell dad to unfroze my account.”
“I’m giving you this, because you’re getting along with your brother.”
“Not like I’ve a choice do, you’ll murder me if I don’t.”
She slaps his shoulders. He chuckled.

He chugged down the entire tea and dropped the cup.
"I'll be home quick. Where’s the old man?”
“Old man, he’s more stronger than you. Moron.” She tried to hit him, but he ducked. Jumping up from the chair.
“I haven’t seen him, I just hope he doesn’t come out of there.”
“Don’t you say that he’s my husband.” She glares at him.

“He sure is..”
“Get out Bruce..Don’t stay too late.”
She stole a glance down to the door of the study.
Bruce huffed irritably.

"I won't, I’ll be back, before you got up from the chair you’re on.”
“You can go upstairs to my room and get it from..”
Bruce smiled waving the card on the air for so she could see them, he had got them already.
“You already had it.”

“I already did.” His smiled widen.
“I won’t too much. I would just leave a few cashes for you.”
“I’ll strangle you. If you dare.”
He laughed walking out.

Seeing she was alone, and Bruce was gone she picked up her phone, pulling a call through a certain number.
"Hello Black "
"Ma'am"
"I want you to look into something for me, you have to be snappy and accurate with it"
"On your service ma'am "
"Am giving you twice your pay, that's how serious and urgent I need it"
"Alright ma'am "

"Find Everything about Lucas murder, the girl in his custody then, I want to know everything about it
And most especially,
Find the girl "
“Yes ma’am.”

She hanged up. And stood up, walking towards the door of the study. She knocked just once and his deep baritone voice replied.
“Go away Linda.”
“Albert, Let’s have breakfast.”
“Go away Linda...”
she leaned on the door. More reasons she needs to find out who the girl was. Was she in any way the reason why he was like this.
She had to find out.

She pulled away from the door. And walked over to the cellar, bringing out a bottle of vodka.
To clear her head off these thoughts.
