Again

When Dixon woke up, he was in the hospital, his head was bandaged, Bruce was by his side. And he felt so weak and tired.
“You’re awake.”
He nods.
“How long have I been here?”
“Twenty hours.”
“what?” He tried standing up from the bed.
“Hey, stop, don’t try standing.”
“It’s the almost full eclipse. I need to go.”
“You ain’t going anywhere.”
“What’s the time?”
“6:15 pm.”
“Where’s Mom, Where are my friends.”
“They are fine.”
“I need to go.”

“No, I was asked not to let you go, you’re too weak to move around.”
“You need to let me go, I can’t do this. I need to meet her, I need to go get her. I need to save her.”
“Mom said, she isn’t human, why to waste your time over someone like her, someone who’ll never be human.” Dixon glare at him.
“I made a promise to Eamon, I would go to her, that’s the reason why I’m alive. He wanted me to go and save her and that's what I’m gonna do.”
He stood up from the bed, pulling all the needles off his skin.
“Dixon.”
“Don’t you dare stop me? I don’t care if she isn’t human, I don’t care if you won’t accept her for who she is, I don’t care if she has white hair, black eyes, or skin. I don’t care at all. All I want is her to be alive. I want her to be safe, to know, and feel loved. If you love someone, you’ll be willing to go the extra mile for them, Love could make you go crazy. It’s that kind of feeling, so strong, you won’t be able to see flaws. I love her. So much that it’s hurting. Have you ever loved someone like that? I’m sorry, tell mom, I left.”
Bruce nodded and stood up from the chair.
“You should go. I’ll cover-up. I’m sorry about my outburst.”
“It’s okay. I need to go now.”
Bruce nodded. And walked him to the door. Upon reaching the door, while he was about to open the door the doctor came in.
“Oh Dixon, I see you’re awake.” Then he looked back to the bed.
“Why are you here, you should be resting.”
“Doctor, I’m fine.”

“Dixon you’re not...”
“Doc, I’m fine, trust me, I need to leave here now, I need to go, I don’t have much time on my hands right now, tonight, the full eclipse is happening anytime soon and I need to go and save her from it, so...”
“Oh, Dixon you’re not fine. C’mon, I need to have your check-up.”
“No, I need to go.”
“Dixon you can’t leave, you’re simply not fine. There’s something that you need....” Bruce snacked him on his neck. He quickly hold him before he could fall.
“Let’s take him to the bed.”

“Bruce.”
“C’mon bro.”
Dixon nodded. They took him to the bed and lay him on the bed. They covered him.
“All done. You can leave now, you shouldn’t let anyone stop you.”
“Thank you.”
Bruce nodded with a smile.
“You should get going.”
“I’m leaving now..”
“And Dixon, be careful and make sure you come back to her.”
Dixon nodded and walked away from the hospital ward. He ran outside with his hospital cloth. Running to the parking lot, his car wasn’t there. He had forgotten, it was Linda’s car they had got in with last night. The only option was to take a cab, that seems to be what he’s gonna do, he ran outside the hospital, running till he was able to get a cab and here comes the problem he didn’t have a penny on him.
Geez!

He had forgotten, all his thought was to leave the hospital and go to her and now here he was getting into a cab without a dollar in his pocket.
“Where I’m gonna stop you, mister.”
He had to stop in his house, maybe go in and get some cash. That would do, that was it.
He told the driver where to stop and he did stop there when they arrived and waited for him to go get the money.
Dixon opened the door to his apartment and looked around him, his breath was heavy, the floor was stained with blood. His blood, their blood. Eamon’s blood. He walked in, there wasn’t a body on the ground, he thought maybe the case had been reported to the police but it wasn’t. But Eamon’s body was gone. What could have happened?
He walked upstairs to his room to get his cash. He took a lot of it and shut his drawers. This would be enough for tonight, for him to go get her, this was more than enough, he touched his face to feel tears streaming down his cheeks.
He wiped them off, he sniffed.

His best friend was gone, his brother was gone, there’s no way, he could see him again.
“I’ve got a lot to say to you, I wanted us to live long together. I wanted to have you as my best man at my wedding. I wanted you to be the uncle to my kids. My future already had you in it. But..” he cried. Falling on one knee.
“I wanted the same too. I wanted you to be there too. I was so much craving for such moments.”
He turned to see Eamon, slipping down to sit on the ground beside the drawers where he was.
“But I did that because I know you had to live, you’ve got a lot to do, Maeve is still out there waiting for you. If you won’t get her no one else would. She had just you.”
“You has just me too!”

“I know, stop crying Dixon. I don’t wanna see you get hurt. Stop crying. You need to go now, you’ve to get there in time.”
“Why did you do this to me. I’m so much hurting right now, I don’t know what to do, I don’t know.”
“That’s why I came here to tell you this. Don’t cry anymore, you’re hurting I know, but I’ll always be here. This was my fate. Thank you, Dixon, for giving me life.”
When he looked again, he was smiling at him, and then he was gone.
“You need to find her.”
“What am I gonna do if I found her?”
“When you found you would know.”
And then, he didn’t hear anything else, the voice was gone, he stood up and wipe his tears, he had to go now.
“Where the hell did you go? You kept me waiting for so long?”
“I’m sorry.”
“Let’s go.”

“You gonna pat extra for making me wait this long.”
“Yeah. Sure, here you go.”
“Alright. So where are we off to now.”
“Lucas house.”
“Lucas? Which Lucas.”
“The paranormal researcher.”
“Oh. He’s late now, isn’t he?”
“Yeah, take me there.”
“Okay...”
The night of the full eclipse. Which happens to be tonight. Eerie sound and an odd aura fill the city. That you could easily feel it. And in that night. Dixon was somewhere close to them but not close enough yet. But the eclipse has begun. He looked up in the car where he was, and his heart bleeds. It’s all over, there was nothing he could do anymore. Where he sat in the car, he wept like a child. Which got the driver wondering what was wrong with him. But he chooses not to question him and continues his driving.

He was late!
He was so late!
Maeve was hung on the wall.
Just like the beginning. She was chained to the wall, this chain was more stronger and powerful. She could feel it draining her strength. She was back here again in the same position she had been, how smart of Anika, she had planned it so well. Her skin was dark green.
All her black eyes could see was Dixon's face when she left him. The face when he was searching for her, when he was crying his eyes out, that face was all she saw and nothing else.
And then those looks of his. Each time he stares at her.
The look he gave her.
Tender and loving.

The smile.
But now, she isn’t gonna see those eyes of his again, not gonna be with him again. She was gone now. It would be the full eclipse soon and everything would end and she would probably be gone forever.
“Don’t forget me, Dixon, that’s all I’ve to ask.”
Their moments together were what gave her life, every moment with Dixon was what kept her going, wanting to fight this thing.
But it seems she can’t go on any further, this was where she had come to a full stop.
"Aargh!"

She howled.
It was happening. Her system was changing, it was strangling her. She was dying!
“Argh!”
She wrestled with the chains.
Shouting and struggling.
Anika filled the syringe with a yellowish liquid. As fast as she could, doing whatever she could.
Roy was busy pacing in front of her.
"How long it's gonna take "
"It's eclipse already "
"Am aware of that Roy "

"We should have done this before the eclipse
"Since it already eclipses, is it gonna work?”
Anika exhaled.
"Am doing my best here."
"If we don't get it done she's gonna kill us right."
"She’s not gonna kill us, trust me, this would work. It will end her. But if anything goes wrong, run away from her as fast as you can.”
“This doesn’t make any sense, why didn’t we kill her that time she was unconscious.”
“We can’t. She isn’t just anyone you can kill.”
“This is crazy.”
She shrugged and walked past him.
Approaching Maeve. Roy follows behind quietly praying it all goes well.
Maeve growled.
Whatever it is was taking charge of her body. She was changing into this form.
Permanently. Her howls were loud, her skin was burning, her bones were reshaping, as she grew larger in size and height. Her hair turns white entirely. And the dress she wore tore off her body.
"Aargh "
She breaks the chains.
