Not complete without you
Dr. Green stood up from the ground, wiping the dust off his jeans. The signs were happening already, she was gonna die and her chances of being human again would be wiped out entirely. If they didn't do the sacrifice of death.
This had only become more difficult for them. He had to go meet her, but first he had to mix a chemical, which could help reduce the pains she would be feeling, though it would help just a little, it was better than not doing anything at her.
He began stirring. Fishing out everything he would need for the operation. He brought out everything dropping them on the table.
And began mixing the chemicals.
He hurried, since Dixon would be waiting for him. And he doesn’t want him to wait that long for him and he doesn’t wanna go empty handed as well.
Dixon was scary when he’s angry.
When he was done with it, he kept the liquid he made in a syringe. And kept it somewhere safe.
He was about dropping the glass tube, but it fell from his hands and shattered on the ground.
Geez!
What has he done.
He squat to pick up the pieces.
“Who’s there?”
Roy, he was here.
Oh no, he needs to get out of here. Without being seen by Roy.
He stands up, carefully running to the back of the lab. First he needs to hide.
The door opened and Roy came in. Holding a touch. He thought the place would be dark, guess he was wrong. Someone was here.
He looked around the lab.
He walked in further. Touching the glass and other equipment on the table.
He was right.
This was recently used.
“Who could have been down here.” He muttered.
There was only one person in mind. And that was no other than. Dr. Green.
He came here.
What for.
Is he perhaps helping the girl, that would be the only reason he’s down here. To help her. It was almost full Eclipse anyway.
She won’t get to hide anymore.
And then, she would walk down here on her own free will.
Without being force.
He watch you waste your time Green.
Cause there was no way he could save her.
“I only have one question for you, why did you do it. Why did you let her go?”
Dr. Green exhaled from the spot he hide. He knew he was here. There was no need to hide. But Roy has a problem, he had known from the start. Though Lucas tried to hide it. Pretending that his son his normal. When he obviously wasn’t.
Dr. Green came out of his hiding.
He stood watching Roy as he touched the equipment he used in making the liquid for her.
“Helping her huh?”
He turned meeting Dr. Green gaze.
“I helped her because I can’t continue watching your father destroy lives. He had destroyed enough.”
“Did he destroy yours or your family.”
“I doesn't matter if it was mine or not, but he has done enough destruction to the town. Destruction we're all fighting for.”
“That’s why made that decision.”
“I had to do something.”
“You should have let dad have his way with her may be there wouldn't be any suffering now. She won't be suffering now. From the decision you made.”
“She would have been a full bore demon. And would have destroyed a lot of lives.”
“Hasn’t she been destroying lives. What difference does it make. You only made it difficult for her to get killed. Not because you wanted to spare lives that would be killed but because you didn't want her to get killed or captured again.”
Dr. Green nods.
“You got me right on that.”
“And you think you are gonna help her. What of now, can you save her now. You know, I was thinking, if I ever sight my eyes on Green, he won't see the next moment. But, I think it would be better you suffer for the decision you made. And you're suffering just quite well. Get out of here. I don't want to ever see your face else I might change my mind.”
He turned and walked out of the room.
Dr. Green hurried out of the lab. Running to meet up with Dixon.
He knew he did the right thing, even if he has to suffer for it.
He was more than ready to.
DAYS LATER
"You think she's gonna wake soon"
"I don't know for sure Dixon, I've done all I could for the past three days, i don't know what else am gonna do. I think she would wake. Whenever she's ready to. I’ve given her the injection, she would feel less pain.”
Dixon took her hand and placed it on his.
She was breathing now and he was grateful.
But she hadn’t move a finger or anything. He was still worried about her.
"But she will wake up right "
"Yeah she definitely will "
“Her mother Is alive.” he announced.
“Her mother?” Dr Green asked in shock.
“Detective Sean told me about it, that she’s asking of her daughter, she wants to meet her.”
“Oh, I’m so glad. She would be so happy. To meet her mother.”
“I was thinking same.”
She looked so pale and her skin was turning white. Her lips was cracked, she wasn't looking so well and it pained him to see her just like that. He kissed her hands.
“You heard right, your mother wants to see you. Wake up soon okay. I’m waiting for you too. I want to see you.”
She kissed it passionately.
His hands caress her hair. He tucks the hair on her face away. Placing them in her ears.
He kissed her forehead.
"Why is she so weak? Is there something you ain't telling me Dr. Green. I’ve been saying this forever and I haven’t gotten an answer from you.”
"Not at all"
"You just have to wait am sure she's gonna tell you everything you want to know about her."
"Sure about that"
"Of course,"
"Thanks Dr. Green. For everything and I’m sorry for the last time I flared up. It was really hard seeing like that. It sometimes I could contain.”
“It’s okay, you have every right to be mad.”
He had to tell him about the sacrifice but he would have to tell Maeve about it first before he could tell him.
"Glad I could be of help, I will take my leave now if any thing happens don't hesitate to call and your friend when would he be out.”
“Tomorrow.”
“That means I would have to be here tomorrow to stay with her.”
“You have too.”
“Alright then.”
Dixon nodded walking him to the door.
"And Dixon..."
"Yes Dr. Green "
"..no matter what happens be strong, if you need anyone i will always be here for you and I want you to be prepared when she wakes up.”
"Thanks Dr. but I don't think there would be any need for that. I’ll be there waiting for her”
Dr. Green nodded and walked out of the house.
Dixon shut the door behind him and slide down. On his feet.
Days without you had been awful Maeve. And has no meaning at all. Wake up will you.
His has been so depressed without her. And the only one he had to see right now was her.
No one else.
He buried his head on his back.
His phone rang, he pulled it out of his pocket and he slide the answer icon.
"Hello "
"Dixon, how are you doing?"
"Linda, what do you want"
"Still haven't gotten used to calling me mom huh? Anyway
"Thanks for being there for Bruce when he needed you "
"He's my brother, It just the least I can do, how is your husband doing?"
"He's awake but hadn't said anything, and we're getting report tonight..”
"Good for him he's awake and she isn't "
"Did you say something "
"I didn't "
"I wanna ask you to come over, come see your dad tonight "
"And get ready for another family drama.
"Am I still part of that family, I was disowned remember "
"Well you can still be the prodigal son, coming back home "
He laughed dryly.
"And we can talk about the family dinner from there. That’s would be my birthday. Let’s be together. That night. That’s all I ask for. It’s two days away.”
"can you give me a break , am going through a lot right now. I have a lot on my mind.”
"I just wanna fix this. Come see your dad. Tonight. See how is doing, see how miserable he looks.” She sniffed.
"I've a lot to think about Linda, I call another time..."
"You didn't promise me you...."
He pulled the phone away, drew his knees together, buried his head beneath.
He feel so miserable.
*What am I gonna do, if you don’t wake up....*
