Roger's Feelings
''The Prince didn't ask me to take you away. I had to get you out of there. It was getting too much for someone who is the future Queen of Persia.'' Roger grabbed Sent and started to lead her away from the Servants.
''Were you watching us?'' Sent was shocked to hear what Roger had just said to her.
Roger shook his head.
''No.'' He lied.
Sent glanced at him, hoping that he was saying the truth, but at the same time, she really could not probe him because she was stripped of her power.
The thought of what those servants did to her will never leave Sent's mind, she knew it for sure. It will forever be a stigma on her.
''Where are you taking me to?''
Sent was bothered by everyone at this point.
''I don't know. You can stay at the barn, close to the animals.'' Roger was disappointed, but that was all that he could afford to do for Sent at that point.
''The barn?'' Sent asked.
Roger looked at Sent and nodded.
''That's the best place for you now because those servants are obviously sex starved. I doubt that they have seen the bossom of a woman for their entire lives. If I leave you there, I promise you that they will be on your body for days. Better manage the small room close to the barn.'' Roger opened the door of a small room where Sent will have to keep up with.
The room was beside the barn where horses and other farm animals that served the palace were kept.
Sent was close to tears at that point. If anyone told her that in this life, her status will be reduced to someone less than a servant, she would never have believed it.
''Does Bane know about the recent development? Does he know that the Princes here have found out who I am?'' When Roger had made sure that Sent was comfortable and he tried to turn around to leave, Sent held him back and with tears in her eyes, she asked the question.
Roger held back his emotions. He thought of what he had witnessed with the servants and he gulped in frustration because he did not know if he should pounce on Sent as well or not.
''I think he does, but the Princes are asking for him to sign the treaty that will remove Magus from the eight kingdoms, so he is a bit reluctant and is demanding that you be released to him regardless.''
After saying that, Roger quickly left Sent's presence because he could no longer trust himself not to do the worse sexual acts to her.
''Roger! Roger don't leave me here, where are you going? Come back here, it's an order.'' Sent already started to feel miserable as she thought that she will die of depression in that tiny room where she was kept.
''Oh, Bane. How can you be so careless? Just come and cut off their heads, and if you can't do that, why don't you just sign the damn treaty?'' Sent started to weep loudly as she was left alone in the barn.
Roger entered the Vandersar palace feeling morose.
''What's with the long face?'' McGuire had been watching Roger closely since they found out about Sent. He felt that Roger was also from Persia even though it was difficult to pin such an allegation on Roger because he had been living in Magus for a long time, in fact, directly opposite the palace where commoners lived.
McGuire recalled that he had come across Roger a couple of times with the locals who hurried towards the Princes any time they stepped out of the palace, so he held back.
''It's nothing sir. I'm just having a headache after the whole saga with Macy.'' Roger pretended as if he did not know Macy's real name.
''You mean Sent, the Prince' future Queen.'' McGuire looked closely at Roger as he made that statement so that he could read Roger's expression clearly.
''Oh, I thought it was a mistake. Is she really the rumoured nasty future Queen of Persia?'' Roger asked.
McGuire stared at Roger skeptically, and then he flashed a cynical smile.
''Don't worry about it my dear Roger. You have been nothing short of rewarding in this palace since you came. I hope it continues that way.'' McGuire was indirectly trying to tell Roger that he hoped that he was not on the same page with Sent.
Roger peeped at McGuire and nodded.
''I'll continue to behave myself sir.'' Roger stammered.
McGuire nodded with approval.
''Very well. Very nice to hear you say that. Where is the lady? Sent. Where is she?''
''I locked her up in the barn. The servants were tired of her so I put her away.'' Roger's head remained bowed as he spoke to McGuire. It pained him a lot that Sent was going through all that like a worthless woman.
''Okay then. The barn is a good place for someone like her. As soon as the servants want her again, make sure you deliver her to them.'' McGuire's order sounded and Roger could do nothing short of nodding in agreement.
Then he started to leave.
''Roger!'' McGuire called.
''Make sure you always give her to the servants dirty. They will love her that way.'' McGuire walked away as soon as he said that to Roger.
Roger was shocked at that statement from McGuire, and all that he could do was stand at a spot, shocked to his bones.
