A Valid Question
Sent's ears propped up when she heard what Constance said.
What did Constance mean by saying that Margaret will be removed from the picture?
''I beg your pardon dear, what do you mean?'' Sent wanted to be sure that she was not merely being to ambitious and leading herself on.
''What do you mean when you say that Margaret will be removed from the picture from outside?'' Sent was cynical as she continued to circle around Constance. asking these questions.
''I mean... I mean...'' Constance was not sure of herself. Should she say what she really meant? Was it safe for her to say that she will try and kill Margaret for on Sent's behalf.
''Speak, don't worry about anything. It's just both of us here.'' Sent assured Constance that she was safe with ehr, and her words will not be held against her.
''What... Whatever you want, my queen. I will do it for you from outside.'' Constance said again.
Sent laughed. She totally understood the reason why Constance was being careful to say the words she knew she meant, but it was okay. It was fine by her.
Sent suddenly patted Constance at her back.
''Very well then.'' Sent nodded.
''Just return to your room and I'll have Lucas come to take you back to Magus.'' Sent told Constance with a pleasant voice.
Constance' eyes lit up at once as she started to thank Sent for her kindness.
''May your days be long and your reign be fruitful, my queen.'' Constance bowed in front of Sent.
Sent could only but smile.
''Yes. My days will be long and my reign will be fruitful, regardless.'' Sent said those words to Constance, making her understand that her words of prayer meant nothing to her.
Well, what would Constance do? All she needed was to be out of that palace in no time, and if it meant her kissing the feet of Sent, she would gladly do so, and lick it if possible.
Constance nodded and left the presence of Sent, hopefully waiting for Lucas to show up to take her back to Magus as Constance had proposed.
Agitated was an understatement to explain how Constance felt, and the fact that there was a heavy tension in the palace, just made it feel like such a time to be found wanting.
Meanwhile, in the throneroom, there was tension because of the reply that one of the Princes of the seven kingdoms had given to Prince Bane.
The question asked why Prince Bane was bithered about who they are loyal to if he was so sure that Magus would not get the treaty they longed for.
Prince Bane looked at the person who had spoken carefully, and then he leaned back in his seat. The only thing that was going through Prince Bane's mind at that time was the fact that everyone had become more audacious towards him.
The nerve of the Prince to ask him such a sensitive question with such a relaxed demeanour.
The Prince was not even afraid.
Prince Bane started to understand that the uprising had already started. The Vandersar Princes had beat him to it in the sense that the Usylon girl had caused an awakening.
''I want to know ypur thoughts on that. Do you think they are likely to stand alone? Magus.'' Prince Bane quickly exchanged his former dominating aura with a pleasant and diplomatic one.
The seven Princes secretly exchanged glances.
''Since when did the Prince start to need our voices?'' One of the seven Princes asked, looking at the other Princes as if he was trying to just find out if they shared the same thought with him, meanwhile they were all playing the same game on the Prince of Persia.
Some of the other Princes acted suddenly, nodding and agreeing with their comrade, while some of them agreed with him silently.
Prince Bane breathed heavily as he looked at his uncle by his side. Trouble. Both of them could smell trouble.
''Well, what of if I tell you that he has changed?'' Xavier leaned forward to ask the Princes. He was not the leader of Persia, so his aura nd authority over the seven Princes was on a more lighter note.
''Change?'' One of the Princes didn't know when he exclaimed loudly.
Who could change over night? Not anyone, and definitely not someone like Prince Bane of Persia who had blood on his hands and owed favours to nearly everyone in the world because he had either done them wrong and needed to recoup for his wrong doing, or had directly asked for a helping hand with a promise to return the favour as soon as the ball is in his court.
Prince Bane glanced at the Prince that exclaimed, delibereately not wanting to give him his attention so that he would not give power to what the Prince said.
''We are not here to talk about me.'' Prince Bane directly said and the atmosphere changed back to the former.
''Well, ask for me, my Prince.'' One of the Princes started to speak.
''I don't know what to say because I have never made any decision for my kingdom not to talk of what has to do with Persia, in the last ten years that I have been the leader of my kingdom. I do not even know the details of my kingdom that is when it comes to do with administrating and runing the kingdom, I am completely kicked out of it. If I am that worthless in my own kingdom, is there anything that my opinion can offer to the overall Prince of Princes, Bane of Persia?''
The heaviness that came with what this young Prince said was capable of breaking any force that anyone carried into that thronerrom with them.
Prince Bane was stunned, not having the slightest idea what to do or say about what the Prince had just said.
In fact, the other Princes were as stunned as Prince Bane.
