The Same Medicine

The Persian palace was still hot. Revenge was the only thing on Sent's mind. There was no day that passed where she did not remind Prince Bane about how desperately they needed to ''put the Vandersar Princes in their place.''

''I don't care about what union was and what power that worthless Usylon has, but one thing I know is that she must be used just the way I was used in the Vandersar palace.'' Sent had made that statement maybe a thousand times in one day, and Prince Bane could register clearly that if he did not do something fast, Sent will lose her mind.

Pictures of how Sent might have been used in Magus could not leave Prince Bane's mind.

''What have you decided?'' Sent asked.

''If you do not know what to do, then you can rest assured that I have a solution.'' Sent was moving faster than Prince Bane, as always.

Prince Bane dreaded the sound of Sent's voice. The determination in the tone of her voice resonated all through the throne room as Prince Bane raised his eyes to look at her.

Sent was waiting for Prince Bane to ask her to tell him what she was upto.

''What do you have planned this time?'' Prince Bane eventually warily asked.

It was not as if Prince Bane was not as upset as Sent, or that he did not consider what happened to Sent enough to make him want to do something drastic about it, it was just that he was afraid. If Prince Bane had not witnessed Margaret reading the sacred code with his eyes, he would have sworn that her existence was a lie, and just like he had been convincing himself the entire time, he would have settled for the fact that Margaret was a con lady.

''We can get hold of that worthless Usylon and give her a taste of the medicine that I was served by her so called worthless husbands. That whore, how can one person be bethroted to three men, and not just men, all brothers. I can only imagine how they use her day in and day out at their convenience. She should be used to been forced to have sex so whatever we end up doing to her would not be new to her.'' Sent took a seat close to Prince Bane because she had started to feel stressed in her legs from pacing around too much.

Well, it sounded like a good plan except that it would be difficult to get a hold of Margaret. She was very closely monitored by the princes at that time, and literally nobody could go close to her.

''How do you intend to get a hold of her? You know that it is impossible, to be honest. Sent, it is not realistic. I have thought...'' Prince Bane was saying so when Sent interrupted him.

''Has the treaty been signed?'' Sent asked.

Prince Bane heaved a heavy and wary sigh.

He knew it, that Sent would leverage on the fact that Magus was still technically under the leadership of Persia, so they could use veto power to do whatever they wanted at Magus.

If there was anyone that could make good use of any form of power, especially veto, then it was Sent.

''No, Sent, the treaty has not been signed.'' Prince Bane knew what was coming next.

''Very well then. In that case, I don't think we have a problem with anything. We can carry out orders. Write to the strongest officials in Persia, write to the army in the seven kingdoms to rally around, form an army or whatever coalition they want to form, match to Magus, and bring that worthless con to Persia.''

''Sent, it has been proven that the girl is not a con, so that part about her being a con lady should be totally removed from the picture or else we would appear ridiculous.'' Prince Bane had to remind Sent that even though she was bent on revenge by any means, it still did not mean that they should outrightly be ridiculous.

''Okay, accuse her of being a witch or something. Say that her ability to be able to decode the code or whatever it is, is because she is a witch, as every person appointed that would have been able to decode that thing has died years ago. Come on, Bane, do not just give in like that. I will never forgive you if we don't revenge what happened to me at Magus.'' Sent was detetrmined.

''Excuse me!'' Soemone interruoted the conversation that had been going on between Sent and Prince Bane.

''What is it? Can't you see us having a discussion?'' An impatient Sent threw a heavy book at the door because she was upset at whoever intruded.

''I beg your pardon ma'am, I am sorry, but you have a visitor.'' Sent was used to having visitors who claimed to be from her home so it was nothing strange at that time when the messenger came to announce the presence of yet another guest for Sent.

Sent even received more visitors than Prince Bane partly because she was the person known for taking action, and partly because, she had a lot of secret spies scattered around Persia, Magus, and the rest of the seven kingdoms.

Well, this particular guest was from Magus.

Sent scoffed, got up, looked at Prince Bane and then excused herself from the throne room.

''We had better come to an agreement by the time I get back.'' Sent was vague while she made that statement, but Prince Bane heard her loud and clear.

Anyone who saw Sent in Magus and saw her now in Persia would never believe that it was the same woman.

In Magus she was Bent and intimidated, with a depleted aura, but in Persia, she was dominant, proud and looked like she had everything under her control.

Sent walked out of the throneroom to the area were they kept guests waiting for their hosts, and there she saw her visitor, Lucas.
