Lucas' Promise

''Do you wnat to meet her? She shares the same bias towards the new Princess as you.'' Lucas thought that Constance and Sent could form an uncanny relationship towards achieving the same goal.

Constance' eyes lit up when she heard what Lucas said to her.

''You mean?'' She was unsure if she heard correctly.

''I mean, do you want to meet Sent? The future Queen in Persia. She would love to meet someone like you given that you know the back and forth of the Usylon girl.'' Lucas answered.

Constance stared at Lucas.

''This is not some sort of crazy joke, is it?''

Lucas shook his head.

''I have history, well, not history per say. I can contact Sent for you. As soon as I tell her who you are, I am sure that she will be willing to meet you. You two can form an alliance due to the hate you both share for the new Princess.'' Lucas continued on his business as he spoke to Constance.

''Wait. Wait a minute. How on earth did you ever get to know the future Queen in Persia? Do you know what you are talking about? That is the Queen in Persia and not one rascal from one of the eight kingdoms who you can just spot around.'' Constance was skeptical.

Lucas rolled his eyes.

''Sent was an ordinary young lady before she became the Prince' girlfriend or whatever, okay?''

''Okay? So? You knew her before she became the future Queen in...'' Constance was still asking when Lucas interrupted her.

''Forget about all these questions dear. Do you want to meet her? I can arrange it. Since both of you desperately want to see the downfall of the new Princess in Magus, I can help you two collide.''

''Okay, okay then. Not like I believe you but let's see what you are capable of. Yes, you can arrange a meeting.'' Constance just said that to Lucas for saying it sakes, she didn't believe him.

''Okay.''

Constnace stared at Lucas.

''Okay? Is that all? Are you not like, going to tell me how you will go about it and all what not?''

''It has nothing to do with you.'' Lucas shot Constance out soon after.

Constance returned home to tell her parents what she had just heard from Lucas.

''How can an ordinary citizen have anything to do with the future Queen in Persia? Mind you, she is in Persia, while this young man making empty promises is just trying to get between your legs. You better not fall for it.'' Constance' mother warned her affirmatively.

''This loose daughter of mine might have already spread her legs for this loser lying to her. I tell you, there is no need to give her any warning. She has already done the most with the mn, right, Constance?'' Constance father who had been silent the entire time while Constance was narrating her supposedly fake story, eventually spoke.

''Dad!'' Constance was upset.

''Lucas and I just met. He is my boyfriend.''

Constance' father shook her head.

''This is the fourth boyfriend you are telling your mother and I about, and guess what, we have never met any of them. What does that say about you, Constance?'' Her father spat with disgust after saying those words to her.

''Anyway, I don't blame you for your bad choices. I met your mother after she had given her body away for free to the entire Magus, and I happened to be the only good decision she had made in her entire life.'' Constance father stood up to walk away because he knew what was going to happen soon after he made that statement.

''I beg your pardon? You are, as a matter of fact, the worse thing that has happened to me. If I had gotten married to any other of the suitors that I had met before you, I would have been swimming in a wad of cash by now. Worthless loser.'' Constance' mother was upset and gave her husband a tongue lashing but it was not enough to rile the man.

''Like mother like daughter.'' Constance' father had not walked out far from Constance and her mother when his wife gave him those dangerous words.

''Constance, do not be like your mother. Make the best choices, okay?'' Constance' father soon disappeared from the scene as he said the last words.

Anger surged through the veins of Constance' mother as she stared at the back of her husband while he walked away from her.

''Don't mind him dear. He is just a very sorry man. He had ambitions that he was too lazy to achieve. I beg your pardon, okay? Don't listen to him. So tell me about this young man who says he can get you to the future Queen in Persia. Is he saying the truth? Do you know how big of a deal that would be if you met the Queen?'' Constance' mother's excitement returned.

Constance smiled.

''I don't know mom, he sounded like he meant it. He sounded serious and I can't deny that I have an iota of belief in him. He said he was going to arrnage for me to meet the Queen.''

Constance could not hide her excitement as well.

Constance' mother's eyes shone in anticipation.

''This might be the lord that has answered our prayers. As soon as you step into the palace in Persia, I guarantee you that your life will change for the better.''

Constance nodded.

''I believe so, mom. I believe so.''

''My dear daughter, I always knew that you will make me proud.'' Constance' mother hugged her happily.

''I knew it. The universe cannot be so mean to us. We raised the ungrateful scoundrel thief for free under our roof. What of if your father and I did not adopt her? Would she have survived long enough in the orphanage to become the so-called Usylon chosen one? The universe has sent our blessing our way.'' Constance mother was delighted.
