Why Bother?

Words spread out and spread fast within the seven kingdoms that Prince Bane had summoned the leaders of the seven kingdoms.

The fact that Prince Bane did not summon the eight kingdom, Magus, made it easy for anyone to guess the agenda of Prince Bane's summoning, so the Princes of the seven kigdoms quickly converged to agree on what their respinse to Prince Bane would be.

What would interest anyone to know is that, Prince Harry had told his brothers to ask each leader that they met to keep the agenda of their meeting confidential.

In that case, none of the Princes of the seven kingdoms knew that his mate in the other kingdom had already been approached by one of the Vandersar Princes.

In that regard, it was easy for them to come to a common ground.

''Magus is the better devil. I will rather be loyal to Magus than Persia.'' One of the Princes easily said.

''Me too. Especially with that neautiful, new and promised Princess. I will rather be her messenger than allow that worthless whore in Persia control me.''

''Yes, that worthless whore has to stop having such freedom over me. She is too worthless to lead me.''

The Princes of the seven kingdoms had one thing or the other to say about Sent and Persia and Prince Bane.

''So, we all agree then that we would tell Prince Bane that we stand with Magus, right?'' One of the Princes confirmed.

The rest of the Princes looked aroundthemselves and nodded.

''Yes. That will be it. They all agreed.

''But, one more thing.'' One of them raised his finger up.

''We will not make it seem as if we came to a collective agreement. All we will do is act individually. Okay?''

Again, the rest of the Princes nodded.

Soon enough, Persia was bustling with the visit of teh Princes of the seven kingdoms.

Whores, sex workers, women who needed expensive favors, men who wanted to use their wives and daughters to gain favours from the leadership of the seven kingdoms all lined the streets to behold the Princes.

As much as those Princes were under the Persian authority, they were still Princes regardless, and it was evident in them.

''Prince Marcus.''

''Oh, thebhandsome Prince Lanez.''

Everyone doted on the Princes as they entered Persia, oozing of nothing but royalty and authority.

One could only imagine what the aura of those Princes would be like if they had everything they wanted, including their kingdoms.

The Princes of the seven kingdoms had been ripped of their authority as heads of the Kingdoms, yet they still oozed of nothing but power and gut.

''They are here.'' Of course, Xavier was in the first hand know of the Princes arrival in Persia, so he hurried back to his nephew's throneroom to inform his nephew that it was time to talk to the Princes.

Prince Bane was dressed up casually, yet attractively and dominantly.

Prince Bane had it in him, to be honest. His ancestors definitely chose him to be the one ruling over ten other Princes from eight other kingdoms.

As was the usual practice with Prince Bane, he sat on his throne and stared at the door of the throne until his guests started to enter one after the other.

Prince Bane stared at the young and handsome Princes blankly and noticed that all of them had a bit of penache to their step unlike before.

They were usually humble around him but on this occasion, they seemed to have everything under control.

Prince Bane exchanged glances with Xavier when he noticed the development in the seven Princes and then he adjusted uncomfortably on his seat.

His eyes darted across the seven Princes, wishing that he could see right through them.

Very soon, all seven Princes were sitting down and waiting for the Persian Prince to state the reason why he had summoned them.

''Has any of you heard about the Usylon girl that suddenly showed up?'' Well who hadn't?

When Prince Bane asked the seven Princes that question, they looked among themselves with a meaningful expression.

''Yes.'' Only one of them replied, and the rest of them just stared at Prince Bane with a knowing look.

Prince Bane swallowed hard. He could sense it in the minds of the Princes that they were not poised for his gimmicks and they were not going to make him look good while he asked stupidly and glaring questions.

''I suppose you have. I was just asking to be sure. Anyway, I bet we all know what that means, right?'' Prince Bane asked further.

Well, that was yet another obvious question, except that it was too sensitive to easily reply to unlike the first question.

The Princes stared at Prince Bane.

''It means that Magus can become a sovereign kingdom, right?'' Prince Bane asked the Princes.

''Oh, that? Yes. Right, right.'' The Princes of the seven kingdoms pretended to just come to the sudden realisation that it was what Prince Bane was talking about.

''Oh wow. The Vandersr Princes are lucky to have found their right woman.'' One of the seven Princes ''innocently'' said.

Prince Bane had to swallow hard in order not to lash out at the Prince who had just made that statement, but his expression showed that he was upset.

''Well, I could you here for that purpose. All of you.'' Prince Bane started to hit the nail on the head.

''Okay? If Magus ventures out of Persia, which I don't really see them gunning so much for, then it would mean that you seven lot will have to choose whose side you will be on.'' Prince Bane mentioned the dreaded statement.

The Princes made sure to fix their eyes on Prince Bane while they continued to pretend to be oblivious of what Prince Bane was saying.

'Well, since you said that it might not happen, then why bother?'' One of the seven Princes dared to ask Prince Bane.
