Chapter 10

Isabella's POV
Lila's voice made me a little excited after I almost felt the future. I immediately followed Lila's advice to go to Ethan immediately. Without having to delay it too long. But in the middle of the journey, I was suddenly stopped by several wolves with blurred faces because they were covered by disguises.
“Hiya."
I suddenly felt very shocked. Because this attack was very sudden. Moreover, this time I was walking alone without anyone accompanying me. While there were five of them. I initially felt panicked but I had to face them alone with full confidence. I was sure that I would not lose and would not die today at their hands.
"Give up your life!"
"No!" I rebelled.
"Feel this!" Someone else attacked me with his red energy.
I was almost overwhelmed because I was attacked from all directions. They ganged up and I almost lost my strength to fight them and defend myself. The fight got hotter, especially when a bolt of light resembling fire came out of the claws of one of them. I was really on the brink. Feeling threatened and hoping someone would suddenly come to help me. But sure enough, my hopes came true. Suddenly from behind me appeared a werewolf figure with a bright green light.
"Lila?" I had time to turn my head towards her.
"Yes, I'm here." She made a sound to make sure that I wasn't dreaming by seeing her sudden arrival as my savior when I was about to be skinned by five people at once.
"How could you be here?" My question was silly when I was in a tense situation.
"Watch out Isabella!" Lila immediately blocked the attack that was aimed at me. I almost got hit by one of them because I was careless and off guard. But luckily Lila blocked it and made me only fall down instead of being shot by energy.
"Stupid!" Lila whispered to me without even loosening her concentration on her opponent.
I swallowed my saliva feeling really stupid.
Suddenly one of them shot Lila from behind when Lila was facing the opponent in front of her. Lila's left arm was hit by an energy attack.
"Lilaaaaaa, watch out!" Suddenly I could only scream without being able to save Lila from the attack.
"Ouch." Lila groaned in pain while holding one arm with her other arm.
I was still wide-eyed and gaping. Unknowingly the enemy almost attacked me. But suddenly a hard kick made my enemy fly.
"Aaaaaaaaaa!" he fell, and his arms were full of scratches from holding his falling body.
A mighty werewolf appeared in front of us. That was Lucas, I almost couldn't believe that he was the one who came to save me and Lila. When the situation started to get critical I never thought that Lucas would come here.
"Damn it!"
Four of his friends who fell because Lucas kicked them finally approached him and carried him away. It seemed like he was the leader of this attack. So his heart was in the fallen wolf.
"Lila." I started to come back to Lila's condition. Immediately approached Lila half running. Meanwhile, Lucas was still frozen after doing his heroic act. Meanwhile, Lila was still moaning.
"You? Come here, let me treat you!" I said.
"No! No need! You just go to your destination! Come on! Let me go home to treat my wounds."
"No, Lila, how could I just leave like that? While you are injured like this because you saved me."
"No, I did follow you on purpose because I started to suspect that you were being stalked by those evil wolves."
"Um but..."
"Just go!"
"Okay." I nodded in front of Lila who was still sitting.
I immediately got up from my position, bending my knees in front of Lila.
"Hey Elara where are you going?" Suddenly, Lucas, who had been standing up, started to make his voice heard.
I turned to Lucas and said something to him firmly.
"Stop calling me Elara! I'm Isabella!"
I said that statement sharply while walking away. I turned to Lila and Lila watched as Lucas called me Elara. Lila's unpleasant gaze was directed at Lucas. Then Lila turned her gaze back to me and signaled with her eyes and the tip of her chin for me to leave right now and not to pay attention to Lucas.
I immediately ran and left Lucas and Lila's position. I started to continue my journey towards Ethan. Until finally I could meet him. But before I met Ethan, I had time to meet his father first.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Alpha Marcus."
"Hey my future daughter-in-law, are you here bringing good news?"
"Of course, I want to meet you and your son, Ethan."
"Okay, I'll call him here. Wait a minute!"
Not long after, Mr. Marcus came and presented Ethan in front of me.
"You, why are you here? How is it?"
"What is it?"
"Our wedding plans?"
"Um.. that's it, I invited you and your father to come to my house tonight while having dinner with my father. But..."
"But what?"
Mr. Marcus and Ethan simultaneously frowned their foreheads as a sign of curiosity at the word but that I had mentioned.
"Come on, say it! But what?"
"But my father and I only invited you two. This is a secret invitation and don't tell anyone, especially Lucas. I don't want chaos to happen in my house again like at the proposal event that time."
Suddenly, Mr. Marcus felt uncomfortable, as seen by his expression when he suddenly looked at Ethan. I felt uncomfortable actually saying all that. But I had no choice but to say it. This was for the sake of my survival and the smooth running of my and Ethan's wedding. I didn't want everything to fail again. I didn't want any obstacles that could sneak up at any time. I want to officially marry Ethan, someone I love very much. I want to live with him and be his legal partner for the rest of my life.
"Okay." Mr. Marcus and Ethan agreed.
I felt relieved after saying this and being approved by them. However, I was still not so relieved because I had not reached the peak of the event. There were still many bad possibilities that could happen in the middle of the trip. So I still felt anxious and not completely calm. But I had to remember what Lila said that I had to suggest myself to stay calm. I always tried to affirm positive sentences so that in the future I would not experience bad things again.
Feeling that everything was over, I didn't want to linger at Ethan's house because I was worried that Lucas would come soon.
