Chapter 65
Isabella’s POV
“I hope everything goes well for you, Mia,” I said, trying to strengthen my resolve to be supportive despite the difficult reality.
“Thank you, Isabella! I know you’ll be a great mom when the time comes,” she replied, and hearing her words warmed my heart, even though my mixed feelings were still there.
As we spent time together, listening to Mia’s funny stories about her pregnancy, I tried to push away the negative thoughts that were overwhelming me. Maybe this trip will serve as a reminder for me to stay optimistic. Although the pain I felt will never truly go away, I know I must fight to find hope and happiness in the future.
Mia spoke passionately about her desire to have many children. “I am an only child, and I feel like I want to give my children siblings to grow up with. I don’t want them to feel lonely like I did,” she said, describing her wishes and hopes.
Hearing her words reminded me of the times when I didn’t have siblings like she wanted. “Actually, I don’t have any brothers or sisters either,” I said, my voice soft. Memories of my lost family came flooding back to me. “Everyone in my family died in a conflict with another wolf pack.”
As I recalled the tragedy, sadness washed over me. I remembered how the loss had changed my life forever, and even though it had been months, the pain still lingered. I saw Mia look at me with understanding, as if she knew how hard the memory had been for me.
“I’m sorry, Isabella. I don’t know…” Mia tried to ease the sudden silence.
“It’s okay,” I replied, raising my hand to signal that I was fine. “It’s just that sometimes, thinking about the past hurts, especially when I remember the losses I’ve endured.”
We both sat in silence for a moment, letting the sadness sink in, but also experiencing the sense of sisterhood that was beginning to form between us. Mia was my sister-in-law now, and I felt it in a deep way.
“Maybe we can build a supportive family, where our children can grow up together,” I said again, trying to insert hope amidst the sadness.
Mia smiled faintly, nodding in agreement. “I want that! I want our children to know each other and share beautiful moments together.”
Meanwhile, Ethan and Lucas were chatting in a different room, making me feel lucky to have such a supportive husband. Even though I might be feeling a mix of happiness and sadness right now, their presence reminded me that every relationship is a treasure that needs to be protected.
In the midst of this conversation, I felt closer to Mia, and although the bitter memories will never completely disappear, I am sure that the two of us can support each other in this new journey. We will build a family with love and hope, for a brighter future.
After feeling that I had spent enough time with Mia, I said goodbye and went home. However, before I really left, Ethan smiled and said, “How about we go to the movies together? I know there’s a romantic movie that’s just showing.”
Without hesitation, I answered, “That’s a great idea! I agree!” The two of us headed to the nearest movie theater. Excitement came over us as we entered the building and chose tickets for the long-awaited movie.
Inside the cinema, the dark atmosphere made everything feel more intimate. When the movie started, I felt carried away by the touching storyline. Every scene reminded me of love and hope, and I couldn’t help but hold Ethan’s hand tightly.
“I like this movie,” I said softly beside him, not wanting to disturb the other audience. He turned his head and smiled, as if he felt the same happiness.
The movie continued and I felt every moment very meaningful. The laughter, tears, and romantic moments in the movie made me enjoy this togetherness even more. It was like a magnet pulling us together, and I was grateful to be able to share this experience with Ethan.
As the movie started, I felt swept up in the storyline. “I loved this movie,” I said, savoring the emotional moment before us. It felt wonderful to share this experience with Ethan, and as I watched, I held his hand tightly. The warm touch was comforting, and I felt so happy.
After the movie, we left the theater feeling happy. Ethan looked at me and said, “How about we go shopping after this? There are a few places we can go.”
I nodded enthusiastically, “Sure! I can’t wait to see what we can find.”
We walked to a nearby shopping center, and as we entered the shops, I felt a sense of excitement. Seeing the variety of items and choices made me feel excited. We stopped at several windows, talking and laughing as we explored the options.
It was a refreshing experience—a time where we could be ourselves, without any worries. I felt so lucky to have Ethan by my side, making every day feel more meaningful.
While we were shopping, I saw a beautiful dress in the window. “Ethan, look how beautiful it is!” I said excitedly, showing him the dress I had found.
Ethan came over and smiled. “You would look amazing in that.”
“You think? Maybe I should try it on!” I replied, serving as an opportunity to believe that I was everything he said I was.
After a few hours of shopping and chatting, we decided to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee at a small cafe. As the aroma of coffee filled the air, I felt comfortable and at peace.
“Thank you for today, Ethan. I really enjoyed it,” I said sincerely.
“Always to you, Isabella. I want us to have moments like this all the time,” Ethan agreed, his gaze full of love and care.
That day made me feel so precious, and I hoped this was not just a coincidence, but the beginning of many wonderful adventures that we would have together.
