Chapter 58

Ethan's POV
After the consultation session, the doctor gave us permission to ask further questions if there was anything we wanted to know. We felt relieved and well-informed.
“Thank you, doctor. We will follow all the instructions and make sure everything goes smoothly,” I said, giving myself confidence.
The doctor smiled, “You have made a great move by coming here. Remember, communication and regular checkups are very important during pregnancy.”
After the consultation with the doctor, I felt so grateful and relieved. This was a new journey for us, and we were both so excited to welcome a new member to our family. This moment felt so special, and I knew we would get through this together.
As we left the office, our hands were clasped tightly together. Outside, the world felt brighter, and a sense of happiness enveloped us. Now, we had a new mission, and together we were ready to face all the challenges ahead.
On the way home, Isabella smiled widely. “I can’t wait to start this journey with you,” she said, her hand gripping mine tightly.
“So do I, Isabella. We will do our best to provide the best for our baby,” I replied, confident that our love would accompany every step of this new journey.
Today is the beginning of a new chapter in our life story, and as we move forward into the future, we know that together, we are ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
Isabella’s POV
I am happy that Ethan is back. Although there are many things to deal with after my departure, his presence makes everything feel lighter. On the other hand, there is another joy in my life—I am pregnant! I have been waiting for this moment for so long, and finally, it has come true.
A few days after the doctor’s visit, when we were together, Ethan approached me. “You have to take care of your pregnancy, okay?” he said, looking concerned.
“Yeah, I know,” I replied, feeling my stomach churn. “But right now, I just feel nauseous and dizzy. I don’t even have an appetite.”
Ethan frowned. “But still, you should at least eat enough. Because the fetus in your womb needs nutrition,” he said, sounding serious.
I nodded slowly, realizing how important it was. Although the nausea often haunted me, I knew I had to try to meet the needs of my body and the baby in my womb. “But sometimes it’s hard to find food that makes me feel good, Ethan. Everything feels so bad,” I blurted out in frustration.
“Try some healthy snacks, like fruits or vegetables. Maybe you can find something that works for you through the nausea,” he suggested.
I started to think, thinking about things I could add to my daily diet. My health and the health of my baby depended on what I did. “You’re right. I need to figure out what I want to eat, even if it’s hard,” I said, trying to be positive.
Ethan smiled, and I could tell he wanted to support me as best he could. “Remember, this is our journey together. I’m here for you and for our baby,” he said sincerely.
We continued our conversation and came up with some things we could do to stay healthy during my pregnancy. Ethan support was a huge encouragement to me to stay motivated even though I was in a challenging situation. Even though I felt nauseous and dizzy at times, I knew that with the love and care of those closest to me, I would get through it.
Every moment before the birth of this baby feels precious, and I am determined to maintain my health and create a good environment for the growth of the baby in my womb. Realizing that there is new hope ahead makes me feel excited to live each day with love and confidence.
“Isabella, I want to take you to a restaurant to eat. Now, do you want to?” Ethan asked with full hope.
Hearing his offer, I felt a little stunned. However, my headache continued to haunt me, making me have no appetite. “I don’t think so. It’s better if we just eat at home. Or if you want, you can cook for me. I feel so nauseous with the smell of spices,” I said, expressing my feelings honestly.
Honestly, I feel nauseous and dizzy all day long, not just in the morning. Usually, I would really enjoy eating out, but this pregnancy brings its own challenges. “Honestly, I feel tired, but this is the struggle of being a mother-to-be,” I added, hoping Lucas would understand.
He nodded, his face showing sympathy. “Okay, I’ll cook something for you. We can make simple food that doesn’t have too strong an aroma,” he answered with concern.
“Thank you, Ethan. That will help me a lot,” I said, feeling relieved. It felt good to have the support of those closest to me when facing all kinds of challenges that came my way.
After getting up from my seat, Ethan went to the kitchen and started to prepare the food. I sat quietly, trying to rest as much as possible while listening to the sounds from the kitchen. Even though my stomach felt uneasy, I still felt the warmth of Ethan's care and attention. It all gave me the motivation to keep going.
In a few minutes, Ethan returned with a simple plate of food—rice with steamed vegetables and boiled chicken without strong spices. “Here, I hope this is good for you,” he said, serving the food with a sincere smile.
When I tasted the food, the fresh and simple taste that was not too strong in my mouth gave me a little comfort. “This is delicious,” I said, feeling more excited.
“Thank goodness!” Ethan replied happily and sat beside me, joining me in enjoying the simple food.
