Ethan's POV
I would really feel at a loss if I let Isabella land in Lucas's arms. Meanwhile, Lucas is my own brother, part of my family. I can't imagine how complicated it would be if that just happened. I would get a bad view that would be hard for me to avoid later. So, of course, I have to keep Isabella in my arms forever. Let Lucas lose and give in, not me. I don't want to lose to her, I want to be the winner in the contest to win Isabella's heart. I don't want Isabella to turn to Lucas. I have to keep Isabella in my arms forever. For that, I have to give her a good impression. I even have to be wise and accepting so that Isabella sympathizes with me. Being mature in front of Isabella can be the key to me becoming the winner.
It seems like I have to give Isabella a chance to find out the truth herself. While I meet Elder Rowan to find out the truth behind Lucas' story.
After getting enlightenment from Mr. Rezso, I rushed home and met my wife. Hoping that I will be able to atone for my mistake that made her feel bad. I didn't go home last night, I hoped Isabella wouldn't get mad at me. I had to make her happy when she met me again. But when I got home I didn't find Isabella at home.
"Maybe," I whispered and my eyes started to widen.
But I started to pull myself together so I wouldn't overthink. I had to be able to control myself and start to understand that I was an alpha who had to remain careful and wise.
I immediately thought about looking for Isabella at Lila's house. It could be that Isabella was on the porch of Lila's house and wanted to stay there because no one was there to accompany me because I just went out without saying goodbye at all. Without thinking twice, I went straight to Lila's house. To make sure that Isabella was really there at Lila's house. I hope it's true and I don't expect Isabella to come back to see Lucas when I wasn't there all night.
When I arrived in front of Lila's house, I immediately knocked on the door. Hoping that Isabella was inside.
Knock knock knock.
After waiting for quite a while, suddenly, something bad almost happened to me.
"Hiyaaaaaaa..."
"Eitsssss.."
Luckily I was able to dodge and move quickly. If not, I would have been burned to death by the energy that Lila and Isabella combined to attack me.
“Wow."
"Ouch, sorry!"
"Hmm, that was close."
"Sorry, I thought..."
"Yes, I understand."
I immediately turned to my wife. Isabella seemed nervous to see me. I think there was an unusual feeling that she was holding back right now. But I feel relieved now that I found Isabella here at Lila's house.
"Isabella, let's go home!" I started to realize after saying it. That I was still carried away by the previous atmosphere.
I saw Isabella looking a little scared. It seemed like she was worried that I would vent my anger on her at home. Or maybe she was worried that I would embarrass her in front of her best friend. No, I'm not overreacting like that. I won't embarrass her in front of Lila. I also still maintain my dignity as a husband. I don't want to give a bad impression in front of other people towards my wife. We can still finish it inside the house together without any interference from anyone. Except as an advisor and guide like what I did to Mr. Rezso and Kenzo or Elder Rowan later.
"Come on!" I automatically pulled her hand.
She saw me so scared. But suddenly her expression changed to not so tense. Because she also seemed to be hiding this problem from Lila. Isabella and I immediately understood and connected. We must both be the secret of our household. Finally, Isabella agreed to take me home.
"Okay Lila, thank you for taking my wife here."
"Yes, you're welcome Ethan, but let Isabella stay here tonight. She also just came here today, just a few hours ago."
That was the answer I wanted to hear. Without me asking, fortunately, Lila explained everything. That Isabella came here just a few hours ago. That means Isabella didn't leave the house last night. Maybe Isabella waited for me at home until I hoped I would come home and meet her. But is it possible that she was waiting for me to come home? Don't tell me, Isabella... Oh no! I shouldn't think badly of my wife. I shouldn't suspect my wife of doing something inappropriate behind my back again.
Okay, I'll take her home and apologize for a change in attitude. We arrived home after saying goodbye to Lila and making our way home, and finally, we both arrived at our house. Isabella and I went straight into the room because the day was starting to signal us to rest.
Today was quite tiring for me. Thinking all day and even living in anger and pent-up emotions for days really tired me out. Until I forgot my plan to please my wife tonight. In fact, I slept soundly tonight not remembering anything.
Until the morning I just woke up. I saw that Isabella was no longer by my side. I woke up and got up from this bed. Walking to find my wife. It turned out that she was preparing breakfast for us to eat together. She was standing in front of the stove and was cooking. I approached her and hugged her from behind. She seemed surprised at first but started to get used to my hug. We cooked while making out.
"Honey, you just woke up."
"Hmm, yes."
"What did you cook today, honey?"
"Didn't you see it?"
"Wow, my favorite food menu."
"Isn't that what you wanted?"
"Yes, you know."
I smiled and pampered my wife. She didn't feel uncomfortable with my attitude like this.
"Still long?"
"In a moment, um, you better wash your face first or, better yet, take a shower first!"
"Okay, I'll do it."
"Yes, that's better."
"Of course, cook something delicious, honey. I can't wait to eat your cooking."
"Ready."
It was as if there had never been a problem between us before. Isabella and I were so warm. There was no bad talk between us. There was no problem that we wanted to continue. But later I will start to open up the topic of discussion about Lucas' problem. I want to find a bright spot and want to know Isabella's view of Lucas' story. I want to know her point of view to make it easier to solve this problem. I want everything to be finished soon and not drag on. Because, in fact, that silly thing has disturbed the running of my household with Isabella.
