Chapter 15

The past week has been awesome for Cassie even on the weekend after studying she climbed into her bed. Although she had read pretty advanced stuff about self-pleasure. She wanted to go slow because Cassie was already enjoying her fullest with touching and imagining. Cassie’s fingers started to wiggle because she was using them more than usual.

Finally in her life, she has recognized herself and determined what she needed. When she went to the grocery with her mom this weekend Ruth was shocked to see Cassie in the grocery store humming and picking stuff and throwing in the trolley. Cassie hates to go to the grocery with her mom because she takes a lot of time to select what she wants.

Cassie entered the college wearing a smile on her face. Her eyes landed on Ryker who was standing right in front of the main gate. Cassie adjusted her glasses and was about to walk past him but Ryler grabbed her arm. “Are you still mad at me?”

Cassie shook her head. “But I can’t be friends with you immediately after what you did to me.”

Ryker held her ears with both hands. “Tell me what should I do to be your friend?”

Cassie asked. “What are you doing.”

Ryker started doing sit-ups. “I am not going to stop until you forgive me.”

Cassie rolled her eyes and turned around to walk away but Ryker started saying loudly. “I am sorry Cassie.”

Cassie’s eyes got big and she turned around to shush him. “Stop doing that.”

Ryker kept doing sit-ups. “Not until you forgive me.”

Cassie ran towards him held his hands and stopped him. Ryker looked at her with something in his eyes. “Am I forgiven?”

Cassie blushed. “Seriously, Who are you, man?”

Ryker made a tight line on his lips. “A guy who wants to be your friend.”

Cassie held the strap of her backpack and ducked her head. “I need to be in a class right now.”

Cassie was about to go but Ryker held her arm. “Can I walk with you?”

Cassie nodded and both started walking together towards the class. Ryker asked. “Did you miss me?”

Cassie looked at him. “What? Why would I miss you?”

Ryker shot up his shoulders. “Because to be honest I missed you a lot.”

Cassie squinted. “Why? Why exactly did you miss me?”

Ryker looked into her eyes. “Because I didn’t know how much you mean to me?”

Cassie flicked her hand. “Ryker we just met twice and in the first meeting you humiliated me, in the second you apologized so how could I mean to you so much that you started missing me on your suspension.”

Ryker came close. “Because no one ever talked to me like the way you did.”

A tingling sensation that shot through Cassie's body like wildfire began to flood through her veins. Her heartbeat raced and she felt the blood pounding through her, a mixture of nervousness and excitement. A physical manifestation of the depth of her feelings, she could feel the fine hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She was astounded that Ryker could arouse such strong emotion in her and that she could feel this way about him.

Her mind started to race towards Ryker, and she couldn't help but get engrossed in his essence, the way he stimulated her desire and emotions. However, she felt scared by these feelings' sheer strength, which made her want to hide and protect herself. She couldn't risk the weakness that accompanied these feelings, nor could she continue to allow herself to be carried away by them.

Abruptly, in a desperate attempt to take back control, she turned away. She made herself concentrate on anything but Ryker, anything to divert her attention from the deadly attraction she felt for him. Cassie was aware that she had to force herself to stop acting on her feelings for Ryker and to stop thinking and acting in that way. Attempting to stabilize herself, she inhaled deeply and firmly diverted her focus, determined not to surrender to the surge that threatened to overwhelm her.

She immediately got into the class and sat on the chair she found vacant first. During the whole lecture, she was in some other trance, and after the class, Daniel asked. “Why came late today?”

Cassie was standing with Daniel but her attention was on Ryker. Daniel followed her gaze and asked. “Did Ryker do something again?”

Cassie shook her head. “No, in fact, he apologized again when I was on my way to the class.”

Daniel shook his head. “I also don’t know what has gotten into him all of sudden he changed actually started behaving weird.”

Cassie sighed. “Are we going to the cafe?”

Daniel responded with a smile on his face. “No, actually today I have committed to Rita for some extra tuitions.”

Cassie felt ache in her heart but squinted. “Why extra tuitions?”

Daniel ducked his head. “Because she is way behind than I thought in maths.”

Cassie just wanted to make sure if anything going on between them and pretended to tease him like a friend. “Or maybe you guys would want to spend more time together.”

Daniel blushed and Cassie didn’t like it at all. She wanted to talk about their kiss in the car but she put a fake smile on her face. “Alright, you go I’ll go to see Steven.”

Cassie went to see Steven but he was not there she asked his team and they told her that today he went to another college to have a friendly match before starting a league. Cassie came back to the cafe and sat alone. She opened her laptop to go through her organizer but Ryker suddenly came and at next to her. Cassie shivered to see him in a cafe again she recalled her last encounter with him right here. She pointed at him. “If you are planning to do anything wrong with me…”

Ryker stood up and held his ears. “That means I am still not forgiven.”

Before he started his sit-up Cassie abruptly. “No, no no no you are forgiven I was just…..just saying that..” she grunted, “first you need to stop doing this.”

Ryker sat next to her again, Cassie rolled her eyes and laughed.
