Chapter 8
To see what Steven would do, Cassie pressed her lips together, dipped her finger in coffee, and then put her damp finger down her cheeks. Steven sighed and licked her cheek. Cassie gasped because she wasn't ready for him to use his tongue to wipe a coffee from her cheek. Steven and Cassie were looking at each other carrying urges in their eyes but Cassie was in a mood to check Steven’s reaction. Cassie once again plunged her finger into a coffee and dabbed her fingers on her neck. Steven groaned took a coffee mug from her hand and knocked on the table.
Steven placed his hands beneath her arms and lifted her. He placed her on a counter and separated her legs. Steven stood between her knees, burying his head between her neck and shoulder. Steven began by kissing her right shoulder, then licked a few drops of coffee off her skin before moving on to her neck and then her left shoulder. Cassie closed her eyes, threw her head back, and placed her hands around Steven's torso. The way Steven was holding her was very gentle.
He played hard on the field, but with Cassie, he was being a gentleman. Cassie was taken aback by his mild approach, but she enjoyed it. Finally, he pressed his lips to hers, and the kiss was driven, warm, and sweet. He carefully and steadily took access to her mouth and pushed his tongue down her throat. Cassie genuinely moaned this time, as her hands began to move up and down his back. Cassie let Steven's tongue to freely explore her mouth. After a while, when Cassie thought their kiss was coming to an end, Steven began nibbling her lower lip tenderly.
Steven placed his hands beneath her ass and began stroking them, causing a pleasant but intense sensation in her gut. Steven brilliantly weaved desire in her veins delicately and skillfully. They finally broke their kiss. Cassie expected Steven to take a step back like a Daniel, but he kissed her again like a small peck to conclude a kiss, much like her mother would to add the finishing touch to her food.
Cassie was perplexed and she couldn’t help but ask. “Did you like it?”
Steven chortled. “Okay, I have kissed a lot, and trust me when I say a lot that means A LOT, but no one ever asked me this.”
Cassie shot up her shoulders. “This is my second kiss of all my life and my first one has ghosted me so…”
Steven crossed his arms over his toned chest.”Honesty is the best policy and I like your honesty so let me think about it… hmmmmm….. This kiss would be in my best three kisses of all my life.”
Cassie makes a pout. “Hmmm.”
Steven pointed at her. “Hey, don’t hmmm me, to be in a list of best three is good.”
Cassie smiled and jumped off the counter and adjusted her glasses. “I think I should leave now.”
Steven grabbed his keys. "I don't want to miss a chance to find out how to get to your place."
Cassie giggled and headed out. “I live with my mom.”
Steven winked. “But you sleep in your room.”
Cassie rolled her eyes and sat in his car. When they reached her place and were about to open the door, Steven stopped her then climbed out of his car ran to her side, and opened a door for her. Cassie was impressed by the way he was treating her. Cassie asked. “You really have skills to impress girls.”
Steven tucked his hands in a pocket. “You are pretty expressive.”
Cassie leaned in lightly. “Is it bad?”
Steven shook his head. “Not at all but I never met anyone like you who is that expressive.”
Cassie kept her hand on his chest. “You are a good guy, Steven.”
Steven gently grabbed her arms because he felt something when she touched him. Cassie was waiting for him to say but he was staring at her. Cassie called his name. “Steven?” because she sensed Steven wouldn't say anything.
Steven had never felt this pull ever for any girl. He was unable to understand. Cassie was also fighting a battle as she was feeling the same for him as she feels for Daniel. They were about to kiss.
Cassie sighed. “Alrighty captain it's time to call it a night.”
Steven came close and kissed her again. “That's how you say good night.”
Cassie kissed him back. “Good night Steven.”
When she was walking away Steven said. “See you tomorrow.”
Cassie turned around and asked. “Tomorrow when?”
Steven waved. “Tomorrow after my practice.”
Cassie nodded and headed inside her home. Where Ruth was standing in a lounge and when their eyes met Cassie sensed something was wrong. “What happened, Mom?”
Ruth crossed her arms over her chest. “I should ask you the same because yesterday you had not eaten anything and now you are late for about two hours without giving me any heads up also your phone is switched off.”
Cassie plunged her hand into her bag pulled out her phone and realized her carelessness. “Mom trust me I didn’t know…”
Ruth interrupted. “I trust my daughter, I was just worried about you Cassandra Karen Reed.”
Okay, when she called her with a middle name that meant the damage was 10 out of 10. Cassie kept her phone and bag aside. “I am hungry can we talk over dinner?”
Ruth pointed outside. “Is he your boyfriend?”
Cassie in her low volume. “What if he is?”
There was a change in Ruth’s demeanor, she clapped and laughed. “OMG, I have waiting for this moment for ages. Tell me every detail about him and when and where it happened?”
Cassie was perplexed. “You are not angry?”
Ruth responded. “Are you out of your mind? I am so happy for you. Finally, my daughter kissed a guy.”
Cassie felt disgusted. “Eww, Mom promise me we are not going to discuss this.”
Ruth held her arm and dragged her to the table. “Oh, we are going to discuss everything.”
Cassie told her everything from Daniel to Steven and also that she felt the same for the two guys. To which Ruth told her it was all her hormones and her teenage urges, she needed to give it time and every puzzle would fall into its right place. Right now just enjoy her life because it's the best time to experiment with guys to get the right one.
Cassie asked. “So you have been with many guys before Dad?”
Ruth nodded. “Yeah, your dad was the fourth or maybe fifth.”
Cassie asked. “And after Dad, you never want to be with anyone else?”
Ruth while chewing her steak. “Yeah.”
Cassie sighed. “Mom it's been ten years dad had passed away and you still think you can’t be with anyone?”
Ruth kept her knife and fork on a plate. “Cassie, your dad and I had lived a very beautiful life and those memories are enough for me until I die.”
Cassie asked. “How did you know it was Dad the right guy for you?”
Ruth picked up her fork and knife. “Oh, that I can't explain because you would know when and who is right for you by yourself.”
After dinner, Cassie went to her room and sat on a study table as she had to be well-prepared for tomorrow’s quiz.”
