Daniel’s eyes widened. “That's great news, you should be happy about it. By the way, when is your first match?”

Steven gulped water from his bottle. “In three weeks.” then he started fading away from the conversation but Daniel asked. “Shouldn't you be practicing right now?”

Steven looked at Daniel and asked. “How is Cassie and her mom?”

Daniel sensed he didn’t want to talk about it so he told him that Ruth had been diagnosed with Arthritis and Cassie would take another week off from college. Steven stood up, “I’ll catch you guys later.” then he walked out of the cafe.

Daniel checked the time and stood up immediately, “Damn how could I forget Cassie asked to come to his place.”

Peter stopped him. “Wait,” then he leaped into his bag and took out some notes “Here, give them to Cassie.”

Daniel asked. “I thought you were coming with me.”

Peter sighed. “No, I am gonna head home.” he didn’t want to be with Cassie anymore as she was cheating on both of his friends. Peter chooses to remain silent because he doesn’t want to hurt Steven by telling Cassie had sex with Daniel and also doesn’t want to hurt Daniel by going behind his back.
