Daniel knocked at Ryker’s room and without waiting for the response he entered but ducked a lamp thrown at him. Ryker was taken aback when looking at Daniel. “What the fuck are you doing here?”

Daniel raised his hands in the air. “I come in peace.”

Ryker shouted. “Get the hell out of my room.”

Ryker resumed smashing everything on the floor. Daniel stood at the door and asked. “But why are you doing this?”

Ryker looked at him with blood in his eyes. “It’s all because of you.”

Daniel squinted. “What did I do now?”

Ryker screamed at the top of his lungs. “It’s you always you who snatched everything from me. You are the reason my hands are empty now.”

Daniel changed his weight to another foot. “What are you talking about? I never snatch anything. It's you who always bully me.”

Ryker asked in high volume. “Do you know why I started bullying you?”

Daniel shrugged his shoulders. “I guess that’s what who you are.”

Ryker laughed in anger. “Because since you came into this house, first you snatched my mom, and then you snatched the good grace of my dad by taking good positions in academics, and now you have snatched Cassie from me.”

Daniel shook his head. “You have bullied me since I didn’t know the meaning of this concept.”

Ryker shouted. “I had to do something to vent my anger.”

Daniel snarled. “You have done everything to yourself including losing Cassie.”

Ryker had tears in his eyes this time. “Yeah, I know I made a mistake but everyone deserves a chance to make things right.”

Daniel sighed. “Ryker you are right everyone deserves a chance to mend their mistakes but bro, you have everyone’s trust.”

Ryker smashed a vase in a mirror on the wall. “If you and Steven stop acting like her shield I am sure she would give me a chance.”

Daniel nodded, “Alright if you get a chance to talk to Cassie would you stop doing all this?”

Ryker was about to smash another vase but he stopped and looked at Daniel. “Yeah, I will stop.”

Daniel pointed at him. “Keep in mind if you hurt her I won’t spare you.”

Ryker nodded and wiped his tears. Daniel headed out and walked over to Cassie. She stood up and asked. “What happened? How is he?”

Daniel was taken aback to see worry in her eyes for Ryker. “You still care for him?”

Cassie didn’t see this question coming so she stammered a bit. “What?? I…no I was… I was just worried if anything happened to him.”

Daniel recalled what Ryker told him: if Steven and he stopped intervening, Cassie would give him a chance. Daniel stood paused for a few minutes, Cassie nudged him. “Daniel, are you even listening to me?”

Daniel zoned out of his trance and smiled at Cassie. “I think you should go and talk to him.”

Cassie shook her head. “What am I gonna talk to him?”

Daniel sighed. “Maybe you are the one who could pour some sense into my stupid brother.”

Cassie shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t think I am ready to talk to him.”

Daniel held her arms. “Yes, you are ready to talk to him, Cass.”

Cassie couldn’t stop moistening her panties when she heard Cass from Daniel. She pressed her lips to bury her urge to kiss him. Daniel slipped a finger under her chin and raised her face. “Do you want me to escort you to his room?”

Cassi knocked at his door and when Ryker responded she walked in and gave her a disclaimer before he did anything to harm her. “I come here because Daniel thinks I can pour some sense into you, I want to make it clear before you throw anything on me.”

Ryker’s eyes swelled a bit and the white portion of his eyes was pinkish. He smiled and shot up his shoulders. “I had no intention to hurt you even if you didn’t give me the disclaimer.”

Cassie sighed in relief. “We can talk about anything you want.”

Ryker asked. “Did Daniel tell you anything?”

Cassie shook her head. “Did you tell him anything to inform me?”

Ryker shook his head and walked over to Cassie. “I just wanted to apologize, Cass. I know I have been a horrible person to you, but trust me, since the day I insulted you in the cafe, I couldn't sleep.”

Cassie had the same flinch between her thighs when Ryker called her Cass. She opened her mouth, Ryker stepped forward, and put a finger on her lips. “Please let me speak; I couldn’t even find peace in my room because I have spent the most precious and memorable moments here with you.”

Ryker cupped her face, rubbed his thumb over her cheeks, and whispered. “I couldn’t stop thinking about you, Cass. Not even for a second.”

Cassie wanted to forgive him and resume where they had left but after Peter’s denial, she didn’t want to get hurt again. Cassie gently took his hands away from her. “I think it’s too late to apologize Ryker. I moved on you should also do the same.”

Ryker shook his head and again held her gently. “I can’t Cass, I have been trying for months but I truly miss you doing everything from car races to playing Xbox to sleeping in my bed.”

Cassie closed her eyes. “You are doing it again Ryker.”

Ryker whispered. “I know and I will try until you accept my apology.”

Cassie opened her moistened eyes. “We can never be friends again Ryker because I still have feelings for you and trust me I tried hard to throw you out of my heart and mind but I failed to do so.”

Ryker smiled and crashed his lips onto hers and Cassie wrapped her arms around his torso.
