Peter started blabbering and Cassie was unable to get it. “Peter, talk in English please.”

Peter took a deep breath to process what she just told him. “How is that even possible?”

Cassie rolled her eyes. “Why do you care? You thought I was cheating and I made myself clear.”

Peter shook his head. “Nothing is clear, Cassie. You make things more complicated for me.”

Cassie sighed. “I am polyamorous which means I need more than one partner. Daniel and Steven know about it and they still decided to be with me.”

Peter asked. “But shouldn’t they be jealous of each other?”

Cassie nodded. “It’s difficult for you to process our situation because you are not in it and you don’t feel anything.”

Peter picked up his bag. “Spare me with the details. After classes, we’ll meet in the library for the project.”

Cassie checked her phone. “Actually can we do the project at my place?”

Peter opened his mouth but Cassie continued “Because I have to be at home with my mom it's going to be her lunchtime.”

Peter shut his mouth and nodded. “Alright after classes we’ll head to your place.”

Cassie stormed out of the class and she decided to talk to both about it. After the classes, Cassie went back home, and when she was serving Ruth lunch Peter arrived. Cassie introduced Peter to Ruth and told her Peter had come for the project. After tucking her mom in bed and giving her meds she came out of her room.

Cassie apologized for making him wait for her. Peter shook his head. “No, problem.” for the second time they were studying together, and Peter miserably failed not to get thrilled by Cassie’s intelligence. Peter also started to mold his point of view regarding Romeo and Juliet.

When Cassie’s stomach rumbled out loud she looked at Peter and he was already staring at her. “Trust me it was the loudest rumble of stomach I have ever heard.”

Peter burst into laughter and Cassie was embarrassed. She looked at the time and her eyes widened “I think we should eat something.”

Peter looked at the time and nodded. “Yeah, you go I’ll look into the details.”

Cassie held out her hand. “Come on, you are coming with me.”

Peter lied. “I am not hungry.” he wanted to finish the project soon because he saw Cassie with her mom.

Cassie forcefully pulled his arm. “Stop lying and I bet you’ll love my grilled cheese sandwich.”

Peter chuckled. “Five-year-old toddler can make a delicious grilled cheese sandwich.”

Cassie rolled her eyes and started to make sandwiches for both and the moment Peter had a bite he cursed “Holy fucking God.”

Cassie got worried and asked. “What happened?”

Peter pointed at the sandwich in his hand. “This is amazing.”

Cassie proudly snapped her fingers at him. “I told you.”

After finishing their sandwich, Cassie told Peter she had only one hour left as she had to go for a job. Peter was taken aback. “Go to a job?”

Cassie looked at him and nodded. “Yeah, I have started a job after my mom collapsed.”

Peter wrapped his books and notes. “You can take a rest for an hour before heading to your job and we’ll resume tomorrow.”

Cassie sighed with relief and leaned back on her couch. “Thanks, Peter, I owe you one.”

Cassie closed her eyes for a while.

The next day Peter and Cassie were standing in the kitchen after studies and all of a sudden Cassie's hand got burned while grilling the sandwich and Peter popped her finger in his mouth. It was so sudden that both didn’t realize what just happened and when Peter started to suck her finger Cassie got a lump in her throat and a pleasure shiver down her spine.
