CHAPTER 20
She saw the look on the driver’s face and she smiled immediately.
“I know what you are thinking but I’m not a fake. I don’t have time to go through all the staff backgrounds. I can look at you and see what I want to see. I will give you the gift, when you return back to your house tonight bring your wife a bouquet of her favorite flowers and that mint chocolate she always loves.
Lay with your wife and I believe that your prayers will be answered. Just do it even if you don’t believe. I will buy you the flowers myself,” she said and closed her eyes.
What she had realized during the time her ancestor was teaching her was the ability to grant people’s wishes as long they were for the greater good. There was no kingdom to protect if they were no families to begin with.
Finally, she arrived at the mall and like always it was crowded. How was she supposed to walk freely there? The moment the driver opened her door she saw the guards approaching. Apparently, someone had made preparations in advance for her.
“Your highness, we are here for your protection,” this beautiful woman said.
“Thank you and who assigned you to me?”
“Her royal majesty, the Queen; she wasn’t expecting you to come out today which were why we are a bit late.”
“It’s okay.”
Talia began to walk in the mall, all eyes on her. They were whispering, talking about her, mocking her, praising her but she didn’t really mind. She was ready for everything.
She entered one boutique shop and began to view the clothes inside. Neal had everything, the best of the best and she had no idea what to get him. She couldn’t even read his mind which is why she had to go all the trouble and look for what she thinks was the best for him.
After a long search she decided on buying him a pair of golden cufflinks, they had his favorite falcon bird on it as if they were made for him. After paying for the cufflinks she left the shop and began to look around more.
As she was walking, she saw this granny and she reminded her of her nanaba. She was struggling so she went to where she was and the second, she saw her, the granny did something unexpected. She fell down on her knees and gave a kowtow.
“Granny what are you doing? Please stand up,” she said trying by all means to make her stand but she remained there.
“I never thought in my life I will get to see you again. Since I saw you, I can finally rest in peace, Seer,” she said.
“You know who I am?”
“Yes, I do. Can you please fulfill one wish for me?”
“What do you seek?”
“I would like to know how I will die.”
Talia looked at the woman for a long time before she responded, “you will die but not now. You are blessed and you shall see many additions to your family. And when the time comes, you shall die peacefully without any pain.”
“Are you sure?”
“I can never lie to you,” she said and helped her up.
“Thank you, this is my gift to you,” she said giving her a vase of flowers.
“There is no need for that.”
“Please, just accept it,” she insisted and since people were staring, she ended up taking it.
“I will take it since it’s rude to decline gifts from your elders.”
“You are a nice girl; I wish you happiness in your life.”
“Thank you for that,” she said and put the beads on the woman’s hands.
After some seconds she left the woman and continued with her journey. The woman was sick and she knew it. If she continues to be stressed then she would be digging her own grave.
By telling her all positive things was to ignite that flicker of hope that had faded and as long she lives without any stress then her life would surely be prolonged and see ore of her grandchildren.
She looked at the flower that was in her hand and came up with a new idea.
“Let’s find a flower shop. I think I’m going to start a garden,” she said.
If she finds something to do rather than sitting home and helping people, she might be sane and not get crazy in the process

She stared at his picture and found tears rolling down her cheeks. She loved him so much but he betrayed her in the end. She didn’t want to do it in the beginning but Neal wasn’t always there.
Because he was a prince, he had so many duties and most of the time he wasn’t available. Sometimes she could face problems which she couldn’t share with him because of all that but Ben was there for her.
They grew up together, played together and attended the same schools. She knew her love for Neal but a girl has needs. One night she was crying and Ben was there for her and just like that they began to have an affair behind Neal’s back.
It was even shocking that the affair even lasted a whole year and Neal never caught them.
She always knew that he would choose her no matter what but the shock she received on the day of the consort selection was too much. He chose a poor girl over her. A nobody, someone whom he didn’t even know over her.
She was so humiliated she wanted to kill herself. She even tried to swallow some pills but Ben was there for her. She knew how much Ben loved her even though they were both betraying a friend and a prince.
