CHAPTER 36
When he came out of the hospital going to where the car was, he met reporters. He had no idea who slipped out the news that they were in the hospital but thankfully the guards were well prepared. They shielded them from the trauma of the reporters and they climbed into the car safely.
The driver took them straight to the mansion where everyone had prepared a huge surprise for them.
Talia cried when she saw how happy the staff was for her. It wasn’t overboard but it was touching. He carried her upstairs where their bedroom was. He couldn’t remember the last time he took her to bed. He really had missed his wife and it took him another incident to realize it.
He tucked her in the bed and made sure the pillows were adjusted well.
“Are you hungry?” he asked her.
She looked at him and said, “I’m sorry for scaring you. I never meant to.”
“I know. Let’s just forget about everything and start afresh. Can we do that?”
“Yes, we can. Just promise me you will never shut me out again.”
“I promise you that I won’t do that again. Now remember you are now two so don’t be stubborn. You need to eat something. I will check with the kitchen, they might have something prepared already,” he said.
“Okay, I will just have what they have now,” she said and he kissed her on the forehand before he left for the kitchen.
When he arrived, it was as if she was expecting him already.
“The food is here and warm. She will definitely like it.”
“Thank you, Maria,” he said and took the tray back to the master bedroom.
He put it in front of her and saw the smile on her face. She began to dig in, he knew how much she loved fish and he was going to make sure it will be stored all the time.
She ate her food quickly as if she was starving which was concerning.
“What’s going on?” he asked her.
“I don’t know but it’s good.”
“Do you want some more food?”
“Not now but later. Just tell them to have something on standby, I have a feeling it’s going to be a nasty pregnancy,” she said looking at her stomach and he had that feeling too.
In one month, he had received so many blessings and who was he to turn his back on them?

She couldn’t get mad now because that will affect her unborn child. She couldn’t see her own future, couldn’t even tell that she was expecting. How was she supposed to be a good mother for her unborn child?
She just didn’t know what to do. Stuck in bed all day so that she could recuperate was just something she wasn’t used to. Her birthday was approaching and she didn’t feel like having a huge party.
Since it was her first birthday after being married into the Caruso royal family, they were definitely going to hold a huge party. Since her husband was at school having another exam and he wasn’t there to stop her either, she crawled out of the bed and changed into fresh clothes since she had taken a bath already.
She met Beth out of the room and told her where she wanted to go.
“I need to see her or else I will go crazy,” she said.
“The car will be ready in an instant,” Beth said and she wondered what had happened to her Beth.
The car came around and she was out of the mansion a few moments later. The driver took her to the place. She wanted to see the queen and talk to her.
When she arrived, the queen was waiting for her. She hugged and kissed her on both cheeks and made sure she went inside before the wind affected her. The queen was very cautious and wanted her to be in good health until she gives birth.
“Why did you come all the way here? You could have just called.”
“That would be rude of me mother. I wanted to see your face too,” she said.
“That’s very nice of you. I wanted to see you too. So why are you here?”
“It’s about my birthday,” she said.
“Don’t worry about it. It will be huge and extravagant.”
“I don’t want it to be.”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t hold a party for me, just family dinner will do. The money you were going to use for my party you can give it to those who need it the most.”
“You are such a loving and caring person Talia to sacrifice much for others. You are really a seer,” the queen said and she smiled at her.
“Indeed I am. I have a few places I have in mind and I would love to go there and give them the stuff myself.”
“Okay, we will do that as long you promise to cover yourself well and not exert yourself too much.”
“I won’t, I will be careful. I promise.”
“That’s okay then. We will make a list and you can go and do what you want,” the queen gave in.
“Thank you very much.”
“Since you are here, you should come and I will show you the nursery,” the queen said and she agreed.
