CHAPTER 40

The limo left and headed for the CBD. Talia wanted a pizza so he was going to buy her one. The food court was inside the shopping mall, so they climbed out of the car and while holding hands the two of them made their journey to look for the pizza den. There was a long line and he just couldn’t use his power there but the benefits of being a royal member he got served first.
He made the order for two large chicken tikka pizzas and the two waited for them inside. The feeling of waiting just like others was fascinating even though he knew they would be making his order first.
His wife was busy having a banana this time and didn’t seem to care at all. By the time she gives birth Talia would be a very big ball and that would be quite fascinating. The thought of it made him smile.
“What’s funny?” Talia asked.
“I’m just happy that you are happy dear,” he said and gave her a peck on the cheek which made her blush.
The duchess of Falcon was blushing in public. What would be the headlines the next day? He wasn’t going to think about it at all.

Talia woke up very early; it was her twentieth birthday after all. She looked at her side but her husband had beaten her to it. He wasn’t in the bed at al. she looked at the time and realized it was around six in the morning.
Her husband usually wouldn’t be awake this early at all. It was a Friday but he didn’t have an exam so he was skipping school again. Even if there was school, she would hate him if he ditched her on her big day.
There was a note on her bed lamp, she picked it and it was Neal.
“I will be back in two to three hours. Be safe till I return. Xoxo. N”
That was new; she carefully folded the note and put it in her drawer. She climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and filled the tub with warm water, bubble bath and jasmine bath salts. She took her time scrubbing herself, playing in the water.
She even washed her hair softly and carefully. She didn’t trust anyone with her hair at all. After thirty minutes she emerged from the tub, dried herself and put on some lingerie and bath robe.
She left the bedroom and went downstairs for some breakfast. When she arrived, the table had been set and a variety of dishes were waiting for her. She smiled as she noticed a plate of dumplings present.
“Good morning, Duchess and happy birthday to you,” Maria the cook said happily.
“Thank you very much Maria. Is this why I’m having such a great feast early this morning?”
“Yes, for your great love of food this is nothing.”
“Thank you, I will enjoy this,” she said and took her seat.
She picked one stuffed dumpling and bites it. It was delicious, filled with some chicken chunks and spices. She chewed on it and took a sip of that mango juice on the table. She moved to another bowl which had cereals.
If she didn’t have them then her day wouldn’t go well at all. She put the vanilla flavored yoghurt in her cornflakes and began to eat them hungrily and happily. The bowl was small; Maria must have done it so that she could eat the entire food on the table.
After finishing the cereal, Maria removed the bowl and anything associated with the cereal. Talia took the last dumpling and ate it again with the juice. She was half way but still hungry.
She pulled the plate with toasted bread, picked a piece that had been toasted with eggs and applied some honey on it and took a bite. Not anyone could eat the way she was currently doing but it seemed like the baby wanted food and she was going to provide it.
She stuffed herself with more bread, baked beans, bacon and sausages before she finished her breakfast. She cleared all the plates and noticed that her maids were now standing and watching filled with shock as she ate all that food as if that was nothing.
“Thank you, Maria,” she said as she stood up and smiled at them.
“Are you okay?” Jane asked.
“Never been better; you all need to prepare, we are leaving this mansion today,” she said.
“Okay. You mean we are going with you?”
“Yes, unless you don’t want to.”
“No, we will be ready by the time you leave.”
Upon hearing that she went outside to take a walk or else she will have indigestion. She took the first round around the mansion and when she was doing the second one, she met one of the guards coming towards her holding huge plastics and she stopped.
“Good morning duchess and happy birthday,” he said.
“Good morning and thanks. What are you holding?”
“This is a delivery for you. I was taking it inside when I saw you,” he said.
“Okay, just take it inside and tell Jane to put it in my room. I will be behind you,” she said.
“Okay.”
The guard left and she wondered who might have sent it so early in the morning.
