CHAPTER 35
It was a bit early to tell the press so she was going to wake till she was up and well and take it from there. She switched on the TV only to witness Talia doing the unthinkable in the park. When did she even go there?
The response was quite good considering the fact that she humbled herself and ate at a food stall. People liked her which was good. It would have been bad if the reaction had been negative. Her head began spinning.
She was going to be busy these coming weeks. She had nurseries to prepare even that were the job of the mother. She would just steal it from Talia. She will allow her to be willful at least this once.

Talia had been sleeping for two days and his mother had already begun making preparations. She had sent people to make the nursery in his mansion already and he knew she was making one back at the place. At least his mother would be occupied by the baby thing for a long time.
He had not returned back to the mansion but had his clothes brought over while he looked after his wife. He wasn’t going to leave her side at all.
“Neal,” he heard her whispering and he clutched her hand.
“Talia, are you awake?” he asked but she wasn’t at all.
Slowly she opened her eyes and they were clear green. Her eyes were back to normal which was a huge relief.
“What happened to me?” she asked as soon as she was awake.
“You fainted and you are in the hospital right now,” he told her.
“Did I do anything again?” she asked her voice full of concern.
“No, you didn’t.”
“That’s a relief then. What are you doing here instead of being home?” she asked him, he knew why she was asking.
“You are my wife Talia and if I don’t take care of you, who else will?”
“Aren’t you supposed to be busy with your school work or something?”
“I am but you come first. I’m happy that you are okay,” he told her honestly.
“You sound different. Did anything else happen while I was sleeping?”
‘Were you sick before?”
“I was but it was nothing serious,” she said and he knew that his wife was ignorant.
She didn’t even realize that she was pregnant and just rubbed it off as nothing serious, “why did you ask?”
“I have news for you.”
“Am I dying?” she asked and he laughed.
“No, you aren’t. You are pregnant,” he told her and waited for her reaction.
He couldn’t believe her, she froze, she wasn’t blinking but just sat there with her eyes wide open for a while before she shook her and she jumped.
“Did you say I’m pregnant?”
“Yes, I did. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, it’s just I got caught unaware.”
“You didn’t know?”
“If I did would I have kept it away from you?” she asked.
“I didn’t mean it like that, sorry.”
“It’s okay; I’m just not feeling well that’s all. I would like to go back to sleep now,” she said lying back on the bed.
“Okay, I will go and find the doctor. Just rest,” he said and left the room.
He found the doctor in his room.
“You didn’t have to come. You could have pressed the button,” he said.
“I wanted to stretch my legs and come to tell you that she is awake.”
“That’s good news, I will go back with you and check up on her now,” he doctors said and took his kit.
The two of them went to Talia’s room. The doctor took her pulse and checked her eyes.
“She is fine now and can be discharge any time but before that we need to do the ultra sound. You are aware that you are pregnant right?” the question was directed to Talia who nodded.
“I will go and prepare. You two can follow me,” the doctor said.
Neal helped Talia out of the bed though she was a bit weak. They walked slowly to the room where she would be having the ultrasound. He remained in the room while the doctor took it. He could see the fetus in his wife’s womb moving.
“That’s your baby,” the doctor said.
“It’s very small,” Neal said.
“It is. I will give you a copy of the video and take some pictures for you,” the doctor said.
“That’s very generous of you,” Neal said and looked at Talia who couldn’t stop smiling.
After the ultrasound Talia changed into fresh clothes and she was ready to be discharged. He took the video and the pictures that the doctor had given him and he was ready to leave the hospital.
