CHAPTER 21
Even after her near death encounter Neal never bothered to look for her until she confronted him. That was the day she realized that Neal had known about the affair all along and he was just waiting silently. He was a very cold and ruthless man.
She watched as Neal married that Talia in such a grand manner that it became a great talk everywhere. She couldn’t stop going to school after it or else she will just kill herself. She had to be strong and face it head on.
He was harsh on her all the time. He stopped talking to her and Ben but he never insulted the two of them or confronted them at all.
She even called him when he was on his honeymoon and the same day Talia got sick. She thought that maybe the girl will die since she wasn’t waking up and she will get her chance back but she never expected that Talia woke up a week later and even stranger.
There were a lot of talks among the people regarding what she had become after she woke up but she never believed in myths and fairytales. She was going to see for herself since she had been invited to Neal’s birthday party.
She was going to do everything in her power to get her man back even if meant discarding Talia. She came from a prominent family and whatever she wanted she will always get it and someone like Talia will never stop her no matter what.
She stood up and walked to her closet where she went through the clothes that Neal bought for her. She knew exactly which one to buy, she had so many memories regarding it and hopefully Neal will waver and Talia won’t be able to do anything about it.
Neal stared at his wife as she slept peacefully on the bed with her silver hair splattered on her face. He removed the strands of her and tugged it behind her ears.
He kissed her lightly on her forehead and she blinked. He crawled out of bed in his pajamas and went to the en-suite bathroom and brushed his teeth. When he returned to the bedroom, he found Talia seated.
“Did I wake you up?”
“No, you didn’t. Happy birthday,” she said with a smile on her face.
“Thank you. Where is my present?” he asked as he approached her on the bed and she giggled.
“I don’t have it,” she lied.
“How is that even possible?”
“It’s true.”
“Then I won’t be giving you what I bought for you yesterday.”
“Come on, you don’t have to do that.”
“I can so where is it?”
“I hate you.”
“I know,” he said and climbed on the bed.
He watched her as she reached out her hand for the drawer and she opened it. She took out a very small box.
“What can fit there?”
“Your present,” she said and gave the box to him.
He was curious, what did she bought for him? He opened the box and just laughed out loud.
“You don’t like it?”
“I do, it’s beautiful. Thanks.”
“Is that why you are laughing?”
“I’m laughing because I didn’t expect to get something like this at all.”
“What were you expecting?”
“I was keeping an open mind,” he said and his hand reached her and cupped her face, “I love it; I will wear it today to the party.”
“I’m happy now,” she said and kissed the inside of his palm.
“You better stop that or else we will be late.”
“It’s still early in the morning and the party will be starting in the afternoon.”
“We have to greet mother and father.”
“Are you trying to run now?”
“No, I’m not. I’m trying to warn you that once we start, I won’t be showing any mercy to you.”
“Bring it on husband,” she said and pulled him to her.
Once upon a time his Talia used to be an innocent girl who had no idea about anything but now, she just drove him crazy every night. Her appetite was just so huge and he just loved that about her.
At least she was open about what she wanted and he was going to give it to her the way she wanted it.
Talia smiled as she put on the diamond nail armors on her fingers, a gift she had received from Neal a couple of days ago. When she finished, she stood up and went to the dining where Neal was.
“I saved you your cereal.”
“As if,” she said as sat down.
In the morning she could only eat a bowl of cereal and have something in the afternoon unlike Neal who needed the whole breakfast package. No wonder why he was a strong man, her man.
“You need to get rid of any silly thoughts you are having right now,” he said.
“Fine, I will just have my cereal,” she said.
After breakfast Neal drove them to the palace and the first place, she went was to see the Queen.
