Chapter eighteen: Truth Or Dare
Chapter eighteen: Truth Or Dare
Jessica
"I have something to show you." I said as soon as Janice arrived at my room.
"Uh, okay?" I shut my door, lifting up my shirt to show her the fancy bra and panties Jeffrey got for me.
Her eyes widened and she didn't think twice before reaching out and grabbing my boods in her hands.
"Holy shit, Jess."
"I know," I breathed.
"I don't even know what to do."
"Send him a sexy picture with this on and he will be head over heels for you in no time."
I pulled down my shirt and gave her a look, her mouth dropped open and a slight smirk on her face.
"You did not."
"Oh, yeah, I did." I grabbed my keys to head out.
"Who the hell are you?" She asked as we were on the way to the dinner center.
"It is like you are living this crazy double life that nobody even knows about and I love it." I rolled my eyes at her.
As we ate, we talked about the weekend plans and I promised her we would hang out before I went to spend the weekend with Jeffrey. I felt bad that I seemed to be distancing myself from her, she is my best friend but she honestly seemed to love my new found bad-girl side of me. We headed back to my room, and she asked about Olivia's whereabouts.
"Where has Olivia gone off to?" I rolled my eyes and sat down on my bed.
"She is out with Harry, she begged me to go with her because Steven would be there."
"Does Jeffrey know about him?" I sadly nodded.
"I told him about it today and he said I should stay away from him which I already have been doing anyway. I didn't realize Steven was like that."
"Well, I would be sure to tell him that there is nothing to worry about. Steven doesn't even seem like the type of guy to make a move on you if you don't have feelings for him." I nodded.
"Hopefully, he gets the hint."
On Thursday, I went about my lectures as usual, wanting nothing more than to finish all my assignments before tomorrow and possibly skip classes so I could go see Jeffrey early.
I was sitting at my desk, busy woyu my laptop when Olivia walked into the room with Harry and I awkwardly waved at the two of them.
"Hey, Jessica." She greeted me.
"Want to go out with us tonight?" I shrugged.
"I mean, I was going to hang out with Janice tonight but if she is willing to go, I guess." She nodded with a smile.
"Great, we are pregaming at Harry's at nine. You can come around then."
"I lived at Sodeinde Apartment, number 167." Harry said.
"Oh, I will try to be there." Olivia leaned over to whisper.
"Please be there, Jess. You have had a stressful week and it wouldn't hurt to have a little fun to make up for it." I sighed but nodded.
"I will be there." She squealed and they left.
I texted Janice asking if she wanted to go to Harry's apartment for a party and she completely agreed. So I told her to be ready before nine, I worried about a ride but there was a shuttle that drove around campus late at night that had labeled 'Drunk Bus.' That would be able to take us there.
I managed to get my assignment done before seven and hastily readied myself for the night. I worked on my hair and applied a little bit of makeup. I wore a loose red top and dark skinny jeans. I put a long necklace on and was just slipping into my boots when Janice walked into the room.
"Dang girl, you are smoking. Here, I brought you a cute jacket to keep you warm, I didn't know if you had one or not." She tossed me the leather jacket and I thanked her, throwing it on and grabbing my keys and phone.
"Shall we?"
"Yes of course, we shall."
We walked down to the bus stop outside the hostel, joining the other people waiting for the shuttle. I was certain that Janice and I were the only sober ones considering everyone else was giggly and tipsy. We rode the bus to Sodeinde Apartment which was probably ten minutes outside the campus.
"Harry said he stayed in apartment 167 which should be upstairs."
We headed up the steps and soon we heard the music getting louder and louder as we walked down the hall. When we got the apartment, I didn't even try knocking since they probably wouldn't be able to hear me anyway. I opened the door and saw the vast amount of people lounging on the couch, standing in the kitchen. People were just everywhere.
"Didn't he say that the party started at nine?" Janice asked.
"Yes," I nodded
It looked as if the party had already been going on for a couple hours and the entire complex was here. We walked into the kitchen to get drinks and I instantly bumped into a drunken Olivia.
"Hey, Jessica." I turned around, of course, Steven was standing beside me with a red cup of his own.
"Hey, Steven." My voice is just barely loud enough over the music.
"Didn't expect to see you here." He said, likewise me.
"Are you alone?"
"No, I came with Janice but she has clearly found something more interesting." Annoyance laced in my words.
"I would love to offer a dance with you but I doubt there would be space with all these people here." He chuckled, I nodded and secretly thanked the heavens.
"Yes, I didn't realize this party would be so popular."
Honestly, I wondered if Harry knew all these people. Olivia appeared beside me suddenly, spilling her drink on my pants but I ignored it.
"Hey, lovebirds, come with me."
I cringed as she said 'lovebirds.' I followed her anyway, hoping to find Janice along the way. She was standing right where Olivia had brought us, I shot her a look and she shrugged sheepishly.
"What is going on?"
Olivia sat down beside Steven in a circle of friends and I hesitantly squeezed between some random dude and Janice who had found a boy of her own and he sat on her other side.
"We are playing truth or dare." Olivia replied and I frowned.
"Isn't this a game that children play?" I asked.
"Oh, come on." Steven said as he looked more wasted than Olivia.
"It is fun when there is alcohol involved."
"Let's play." Olivia said and gazed around the circle of strangers.
"Okay, Steven?"
"Hit me," Steven said.
Dear god, please don't let them involve me in this game please.
"Um, I am going to have to go with the truth."
"Is it true that you hooked up with Judy in the girls shower last week?" My stomach dropped as I watched him slowly nod.
"Yes, it is true."
Here he was trying to get into me but he is seeing other girls. I stopped myself from saying something rude and didn't look at him when I saw him glanced at me. It definitely hurt knowing he wasn't into me as much as he and Olivia made it seem but it didn't matter anyway. I didn't like him like that.
"Good," Harry winked at him but he shook his head, clearly unhappy that he admitted his secret.
"Okay, Jessica." Olivia smiled at me.
"Truth or dare."
"Ahh, dare, I guess." I should have said the truth.
"Oh, yeah." Harry commented, taking a swig from a large beer bottle.
"I dare you to….." she started and I was praying in my heart that she shouldn't involve Steven.
"I dare you to swap clothes with Janice." I gave her a look.
"That's it?"
"Right here." She finished her sentence, my lips parted.
Ripe off my clothes right in front of everyone? I barely knew these people and she wanted me to take my clothes off? Janice shrugged.
"I will do it." Janice muttered.
I can't do it, what would Jeffrey say if I told him I stripped down to my underwear in front of these people especially in front of Steven?
"Come on, Jess. Don't be a hard-ass." Harry said.
I pressed my lips and stood up, motioning for Janice to stand too. What Jeffrey doesn't know won't kill him, I took off my shirt and Janice did too and both of us revealed our bras and swapped before exchanging skirts. A few people whistled at us, Olivia indeed. Janice was less curvy than I was, so putting in her jeans wasn't fun.
"Sorry if I rip this." I muttered.
"It is fine, they were old anywhere."
She put in my jean skirt, my shirt was huge on her tiny frame and looked as if she was wearing a pillowcase. I sat down uncomfortable and prayed that the game would end soon so I could put on my clothes back.
Thankfully, Olivia and Harry got too drunk halfway through and no one could understand what they were saying. Eventually, everyone started leaving. I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket and I pulled it out to see a message from Jeffrey.
'l miss you, baby.' I smiled at the message and heard Janice murmuring beside me.
"Hey, don't let Steven see that, I noticed he keeps hanging around you. Tell Jeffrey to text you later." I huffed, letting my thumb linger over the reply button.
"I can't just ignore him."
"You don't have to ignore him, just tell him you are busy."
"Fine," I quickly replied before anyone could see it.
'l miss you too, I am kind of busy right now. Can I call you later?' he was quick to respond and I nervously read his message.
'lf you are with that fucking boy, I swear I will come over there and get rid of him myself.'
'l am not with him, I am with Janice. I will call you when I get back to my room, I promise.'
'Don't stay out too late, my Princess.' I stuffed my phone back in my pocket and looked at Janice.
"Want to change clothes?" She smiled and nodded.
"Let's find the bathroom."
She grabbed my hand and we made our way through the crowd and into the hallway, passing multiple doors before we eventually found the one we needed. Thankfully, no one was there, we shut the door behind us and locked it just to be safe.
