Chapter ninety-four: You Are A Good Father
Chapter ninety-four: You Are A Good Father
Jessica
The twins had started high school and I was a mess as well as Jeffrey. After they left for their first day today, I was stuck at home and Jeffrey had gone to work. I also continued doing my modeling job as well but I have gotten more into designing the fashion that models as well. It has been fun working with Jeffrey on different clothing designs and ideas but I mostly did my work at home unless my husband specifically needed my help in the office.
I love living in Paris and it was nice, we didn't plan on living until the children enter university. Being on the air for more than a year was nice and a lot easier than having to pack up and move after barely residing in the area.
But lately, Jeffrey had been stressed out and goodness knows why and I have decided to confront him before he went to work this morning.
"Can you tell me what is up with you?" I said groggily as I sat on the bed.
He stood in front of the mirror, tying his tie with a frustrated look on his face.
"What are you talking about?" He asked, not making eye contact with me.
"Can you tell me why you have been cranky these past few days?"
"I am not cranky." He huffed and looked at me through the reflection as I pulled out my hair and let it fall on my shoulder.
"Yes, you are. You barely talk during dinner and you are working at home more often lately. Is something going on?"
"I am just trying to provide for my family." He exasperatedly and then moved on to grab his jacket from the closet.
"Jeffrey, you said you would be less CEO at home and more father. You even missed Dlyan's football game this week and you know how Delanie was looking forward to going to Glasgow with you last weekend but you completely bailed on her."
"I wasn't allowed to bring her." I let my arms fall to my side in annoyance.
"Well, why did you get her hopes up, then?" I asked as he emerged from the closet with his shoes in his hand.
"Don't invite her to go somewhere she hasn't been, get her excited and then tell her she can't go just like that." He groaned and rubbed his hands down his face, visibly stressed and annoyed with the entire conversation.
"They didn't tell me until it was too late, I thought she would be able to come but there wasn't enough free time in my schedule." I sighed and shook my head, he looked up to me with a scowl.
"Well, I am not going to bring her all the way to the United Kingdom just to have two hours over the course of two days to spend time with her, that is not fair."
"What is not fair is you missing out on your children growing up, Jeffrey. Before you know it, they are going to move to university and you will barely notice because you have been overthinking yourself…."
"I am not overthinking myself! I am providing for my family that I have wanted my entire life and…."
"Then act like you have wanted this!" I immediately realized how loud my voice had been and then I lowered my tone.
"Stop promising to get home early and then come back after we have already eaten. Stop skipping your children's activities. When was the last time we even had sex?"
He fell silent, looking away from my burning gaze and sat down on the couch across the bed, wearing his shoes.
"What happened to the old Jeffrey I fell in love with? What happened to the father who never left my side during my pregnancy? Who spent more time with the children during their childhood than anyone I know? Who taught them how to drive, what happened?"
He still didn't say anything and I was getting frustrated with his silence that he was arguing back.
"The children are growing up and you are too focused on your work to take advantage of all this time we have with them." He stood up and looked at me with glossy eyes.
"I am a father." He was firm but his voice was shaking somehow.
"I am really a good father."
He frowned and I could tell that he really didn't want to cry. I walked over to him just as he sat down back on the couch and pulled him into a hug immediately and could hear his soft cry onto my shoulder. I felt terrible for yelling at him but I had to speak up or the children would just be devastated the next time he didn't keep up with his promise.
"I am so sorry for yelling at you." I brushed my hand over his hair and gently kissed his head.
"Are they mad at me?" I shook my head and squeezed him tighter.
"Of course not, they just wanted to see their father more."
He sighed into my shoulder before pulling away and I reached up to wipe the tears from his face.
"I am such a terrible father."
"No," I took his hand in mine.
"You are a great father, you need to prioritize better. We can work on this week but you need to start coming home on time again." He nodded and it caught me off guard when he leaned forward abruptly and kissed me hard.
"I am having sex with you tonight." He whispered.
"What?"
"I am making love to my beautiful wife tonight. Make sure your body is ready."

What time is it?" Jeffrey asked as he pushed himself further into me. I gasped and grabbed the headboard, looking over at the clock.
"Almost 4:30pm," I breathed and he immediately leaned down, pressing his lips to mine and slipped his tongue into my mouth without hesitation.
"We have got time." He whispered as he continued thrusting and I let out my eyes roll back, relishing in the pleasure.
"We have got not more than five minutes."
"A little less conversation, Jeffrey. A little more action." He smiled and gave me an abrupt thrust, my lips parted in awe.
"Careful what you wish for, baby girl."
I rolled my eyes and grabbed his face in my hands, pulling him down to kiss him again. I sucked harshly on his plump bottom lips and soon he was leaving a trail of sloppy kisses down my jawline.
After a few minutes of gasping, sucking, biting and thrusting, we realized we needed to hurry up. He clenched his jaw as he quickened his thrusts and I grabbed onto his upper arms for support.
"J.. Jeffrey, I am going to…"
"Just a couple more seconds, my love." He grunted and I looked over at the clock one more time, it is 4:45pm now.
Suddenly, he released and I let myself go as well. I laid there for a moment before hearing the front door downstairs open and he immediately jumped off the bed, removing the condom as he went to the bathroom.
I grabbed some clean clothes from the dresser and changed into them quickly, spraying myself with some perfume before going downstairs.
"Hey, Mom." Delanie greeted me as I entered the kitchen.
She set her backpack down on the bar counter and sat down on the stool as she munched away on an apple.
"Hi, darling, how was school?"
"Boring," she groaned.
"My literature teacher gave us a three page assignment for Monday."
"I had twenty page papers in my college, Delanie. High school is nothing." I laughed.
"And besides, you have all weekend to work on it."
"But, Mum." She whined.
"I have a date tomorrow."
"A date?" I raised my eyebrows and crossed my arms.
"With who?"
She blushed and looked down at her apple, twisting the stem with her index finger and thumb.
"His name is David."
"David?" I repeated.
I only know one David and it couldn't possibly be the same one. Jeffrey walked down the stairs at that moment, his hair wet from the shower.
"David who?" He asked, walking over to her and kissing the top of her head.
"No one," she shrugged and sent me a look to tell me she wanted to drop the subject. I wasn't going to drop those that easily.
"He is taking Delanie on a date." Jeffrey frowned, looking at me and then to his daughter.
"Who said you could go on a date?" He asked.
"I am fifteen, Dad. Aren't I allowed to go on a date?" She asked.
"Not with boys I haven't met." He put his hand on his hips.
"What is his last name?"
"Kana," Jeffrey looked at me and then back to her daughter.
"David Kana?"
"Sam and Rose's son?" I asked and she shrugged in confusion.
"I don't know his parents, he is new in the school."
"Since when are they back in Paris?" He asked as he pulled out his phone.
"Wait, do you know them?" She asked.
"Oh my goodness, don't call his parents. That is so embarrassing."
"It is not embarrassing, calm down." He chuckled, dialing Sam's number.
"You guys are the worst." She groaned, putting her face in her hand.
"It was bad enough that all of my friends talked about the two of you and now you are calling my date's parents."
"What do you mean they talk about us?"
Jeffrey asked but at the same time, Sam picked up the call so he walked out of the kitchen to continue the conversation.
