Chapter seventy-six: Cupcake
Chapter seventy-six: Cupcake
Jessica
We went into the collection room where we had picked the first dress Jeffrey gifted me. Now there were a few mannequins that had been added who donned different ensembles from collections in the past.
"Here," Jeffrey said, pointing to a display towards the dressing room.
"I really like this." I hold the sleeve of the jacket between my fingers and feel the softness of the materials.
"I have always wanted a jumpsuit."
"It will make your butt look good too." He said and I shot him a look to which he sheepishly tucked his hand in his pockets and avoided eye contact.
"My butt always looks good." I said, confidently.
I pulled the jacket off the mannequin and I felt his hand swiftly squeezed my left ass before smacking it.
"I know it does." He grinned.
We drove to his hotel downtown and an entire ballroom rented out with many of his friends. Some familiar faces I recognized from work, I let go of his hands as he hugged a few of his buddies, looking around for anyone I could have conversations with and not to cling to Jeffrey the entire night.
"Oh, this is my girlfriend, Jessica." I heard him say beside me and I turned to face him.
"It is nice to meet you." One of his friends said.
I shook all of their hands and I tried to remember their names but with anyone Jeffrey was introducing me to, I couldn't keep track.
He grabbed a glass of champagne off a passing butler's tray and handed it to me and I thanked him.
"Are you not going to have a drink?"
"I think I will have something from the bar, though. I am going to need something stronger than champagne to get me through tonight."
"How drunk are you planning to get tonight?" He pondered for a moment, puckering his lips as he thought about it.
"I guess maybe enough to let loose but not enough to make me forget tonight." I nodded.
I followed him towards the bar and he got himself old fashioned as I leaned against the bar counter. I got a little carried away and scanned his body, his shirt was unbuttoned enough to let his tattoos poked out from beneath the fabric and his blazer fit perfectly on his toned torso and strong arms.
His trousers hugged his muscular thighs and I rolled my lips between my teeth at the thought of what was between those thighs. As he was served his drink, I watched his hand grab the glass and bring it to his lips to take a quick swig, licking his lips before turning to me. His lips tugged upwards as he smiled.
"Were you just checking me out?"
I blushed and smiled, looking down at the floor and then around the room to avoid eye contact with him. His fingers found my chin and turned my face towards him.
"At least don't make it that obvious next time." He teased and kissed my forehead.
"Come on, let's go have some fun."
"Like jam to some music kind of fun? Or sneak off to the nearest closet kind of fun?" I mumbled.
"Well, I meant jam to the music kind of fun." He laughed and leaned over to whisper.
"And you know damn well we would sneak off to the farthest closet, baby girl. We can't have all my friends hear you moaning my name."

I managed to stay only buzzed but Jeffrey was long gone halfway through the night. He doesn't get drunk often but since it was birthday, I couldn't exactly scold him for drinking this much.
I kept my eyes on him the entire night, making sure he was having fun and wasn't making stupid choices. Sam was definitely giving him more drinks as the night progressed and wasn't wrong all those times he said he got very drunk partying with Sam.
"Where is Jessica?"
I heard that familiar accent on my back from the bathroom. I rounded the corner to see Jeffrey and Sam aimlessly looking around the corridor full of people for my face and when Sam's eyes landed on me, he grabbed Jeffrey's shoulders and drunkenly turned him around.
"Princess!" He shouted, walking towards me and wrapping his arms around my body.
"Gosh, Jeffrey. You are drenched in sweat." I laughed as I tried to push him away.
"I was dancing." He squeezed me harder.
"I like dancing."
"I know you do, love." I smiled and he pulled away letting his hands linger on my waist.
"Have you had any water, Sam?" He said, closing his eyes as the blond appeared next to us.
"Have I had any water? Dude, I am not your secretary. How am I supposed to know?"
"You the one who gave him drinks." I laughed, Sam shrugged sheepishly before taking a drink of what looked like whiskey. I grabbed Jeffrey's hand and patted his stomach.
"Let's go get some water, okay?" He smiled and tilted his head, nodding as I tugged him along.
I got him a glass of water from the bar and made sure he drank the whole thing. He looked at me as he set the glass down.
"It is hot."
"What is hot?"
"It is hot in here, why do you still have your jacket on?" I looked down at the blazer and shrugged.
"Well, I am content but I guess….."
"Take it off and come dance with me."
He reached over, slipping the jacket off my shoulders and throwing it away before grabbing my hand and nearly dragging me to the dance floor.
Both of us weren't great dancers but simply swaying back and forth with each other was still fun. He was singing, shouting along with some old song and I couldn't help but laugh. I love seeing him let loose and not be so uptight with work. I imagined this is what he was like in college.
By the time this part was over, we were nearly the last one to leave the hotel. I could tell he didn't want the party to end but we couldn't rave any longer or Jeffrey would pass out on the dance floor.
"Bye, Sam!" He waved at him as we walked down the corridor.
"I will miss you!"
"I will miss you too, Jeffrey!" Sam shouted back.
"You will see him on Monday when you go back to work, Jeffrey." I chuckled and he pouted his lips as he slouched his shoulders.
"I know but he is my best friend."
"Your best friend also got you very wasted." I reached up and brushed the stray hairs away from his sweaty forehead. He hiccupped and giggled.
"I know, he is really good at it."
"Come on, you dork. Let's get you home."
"Oh my goodness," he gasped as we entered the back seat of his car and Luke drove off heading back to my apartment.
"Am I going to see you naked?"
I clinged and slushed him, apologizing to Luke for Jeffrey's drunken state. He only laughed in response.
"Jeffrey, we aren't discussing this right now." He leaned over and left a sloppy kiss on my cheek.
"I want to see your boobies tonight." He whispered.
I quickly pressed my index finger to his lips, my eyes wide with embarrassment and praying we could get out of this car as soon as possible for the sake of Luke's ears.
"Jeffrey, quite. Let's talk about something else."
He sighed and leaned his head on my shoulder and I brought my hand up to caress his soft cheek.
"I am cold."
"How can you be cold? You have been hot and sweaty all night."
"I am not, thank you for noticing." He sat up and looked at me confidently.
"Can we stop for cupcakes?"
"Jeffrey, it is past midnight. We will get cupcakes tomorrow."
"But you already have a cupcake. It is me." I rolled my eyes and smiled. He was always so cheesy when drunk.
"You are right, you are my cupcake."
"You are my cupcake." He grinned, reaching over and tapping my bottom lips with his index finger.
"My chocolate cupcake."
"Oh, my goodness, Jeffrey." I laughed, face palming and thanking the heavens that we had finally arrived at my apartment.
I apologized again to Luke for Jeffrey's behavior and dragged my drunk boyfriend inside.
"Here, " I said after I sat him down on the bed and tossed our jackets on the back of my desk chair. I grabbed his sweats from the dresser and tossed them on him.
"Change out of those pants."
"You change out of yours." He said like a very sassy child.
"I will, my love but let me take my shoes off first."
"Will you take mine off?" I nodded and smiled.
I reached down and grabbed his ankle, hoisting his foot up and unzipping his boot before I pulled it off.
"There you go."
"You are so cute." He smiled as he laid down on the bed and lifted his hips up enough to tug his pants down to his thighs.
"I love you a lot." He said and I giggled, slipped out of my jumpsuit, tossing it in my hamper.
"I love you too, Jeffrey."
I helped him took his pants off and get him into his sweatpants.
