Chapter eighty-eight: Horny Pants
Chapter eighty-eight: Horny Pants
Jessica
"I thought I was making the biggest mistake, going back to Katagum solely to tell you I am madly In love with you, only to be shot down and rejected. But you didn't do that." I sighed and he continued before I could speak.
"I just want to know why? I knew you didn't hate me but I figured you would want more time apart." I pressed my lips together.
"Well, I can certainly say I was very shocked to see you. I kept telling Janice how scared I was to see you even though deep down I desperately wanted to. I missed your voice, your hugs, visiting you at work, I missed it all so very much, Jeffrey. And I think I realized how much you truly mean to me once we were apart."
He smiled and leaned his face into mine, nudging his nose to my cheek before planting a chaste kiss to my face.
"Was that when you knew you loved me?" I laughed.
"Well, I did fangirl over you when I was younger and I gawked at your clothes in a magazine." He smirked.
"But honestly, I think I fell for you that morning I went to your study room and you sang." He cocked his eyebrows.
"Really?" I nodded with a shrug.
"It was the high note, wasn't it?" He said and I laughed while I nodded my head.
"Definitely, it was an instant panty dropper."
"Surely my dashing looks, sexy accent and mad sex skills were better panty droppers than my singing."
"What can I say? I am a sucker for a good singing voice." I shrugged with a playfully smile.
His hand went immediately down to my waist and gripped my hip in his hand while his eyes moved to my lips.
"I can think of one more thing that you are a sucker for."
He said slowly, subtly grabbing my hand and pulling it towards the crotch of his trousers, never letting his gaze leave mine. I flash a sly smile as my fingers trailed over his zipper.
"Hold on, horny pants." I said and he frowned for a quick second.
"You still have to tell me when you first fell in love with me." He pressed his lips before smiling.
"You really want to know?"
"Of course I do." He moved my hand so we could intertwine fingers.
"Well, I knew I had fallen for you after the Gladys fiasco. I remembered being so pissed off that she had ruined something so good for me and I needed you back so badly. Then the incident with Steven, I nearly lost it when I got the call because I was so worried about you. When I brought you back to my house that night, I wanted nothing more than for you to never leave me like that again."
I looked away from his gaze, knowing fully well that I had done just that. I had left him when he loved me and no matter how much I wanted to stay, I knew it was bad for his business and reputation for me to stay with him with my age and position.
"Then, when you left for Katagum, I stayed in Paris. I worked so hard to get my business back in check because I knew that is what you wanted. I don't want to run after you when you see what is best for my company. I almost gave up everything to go after you but I knew that would have ended terribly in the long run. Giving you time and space and working on my business truly helped me see my love for you."
I smiled, trying not to cry as he explained those painful months of being away from each other. I hated those endless nights of crying myself to sleep, avoiding anything that reminded me of Jeffrey. But it was near impossible because l could never not be thinking of him. He is the kind of person you thought about twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week because of how much I care about him.
"And now we will be getting married." A smile appeared on his face.
"I don't think that there is anything that can stop me from being Mrs. Craig." I said, leaning forward to kiss his lips with all the passion I had in my body.
************
It was the day before the wedding, I was a mess. Delanie was unbelievably cranky the entire day and of course Jeffrey had to be at work so he was unable to calm her down. Dylan was awfully rambunctious, waddling around the house and refusing to sit still no matter what activity I gave him. Rose was supposed to meet me here and we would carpool to the venue but all I really needed right now was a huge glass of wine.
"Yes, I will meet you there, love." I said to Jeffrey over the phone.
He definitely wasn't as stressed as I was, but he was aware of my anxiety for tomorrow and had been trying to keep me calm these past few days.
"I love you so much." He said from the receiver's end.
"Don't worry about tonight, everything will just be fine. The catering is all prepped and I have got the music covered. The venue is ready to go, don't worry about anything, my love."
"I love you." I said and sighed, feeling a little less worried about tomorrow. I was extremely worried that someone may cancel at the last minute.
"I will see you later."
"Bye, my love." He said and I said goodbye before hanging up and looked at my ornery children.
"Daddy, daddy." Delanie squealed as she walked over to me, wanting to be held so I picked her up and tapped her adorable little nose.
"Daddy is at work, my dear. We will see him soon, okay?"
But she kept chanting daddy as she reached behind me, I turned around to see Jeffrey who once again nearly gave me a heart attack.
"Why do you keep doing that?" I said, holding a hand over my chest.
"Doing what?" He chuckled.
"Coming home to my beautiful soon-to-be wife and children?"
"Scaring me, you idiot." I laughed.
Delanie reached out for Jeffrey and he happily took her in his arms. I turned around to check on Dylan, who was finally occupied with his teething toy. Delanie's behavior immediately changed upon being in her father's arms and it literally annoyed me how much she would behave for him and not me.
"So, when are you leaving?" He asked.
"I am just confused as to why you are home so early." I stuffed my hands in my pocket and he shrugged.
"It is my business, I can leave whenever I want. Besides, it takes nearly two hours to get to Montmartre and I would have had to get off early anyway. I just want to see my darling family first." I cocked my head as I smiled at him.
"You are the best." He shrugged with a cocky smile.
"I know."
We headed to the wedding venue with Rose in tow and both my dress and Jeffrey's tux. His mother was at home watching over the children while we were gone and would be bringing them to the venue the next morning. Jeffrey had told me that she will be babysitting them tonight before the wedding to ease any stress on our shoulders. I was worried about them but it was nice having a night off where we could just relax and enjoy each other's company without babies drooling all over us.
"Should I call and see how they are?"
I pulled out my phone but Jeffrey stopped me, putting his hand over mine and chuckled as he shook his head.
"My love, we have been driving for just a half an hour. They are fine, my mother will call if she needs us desperately, okay?"
"I just want to check up on them. What if….."
"Princess, my mother has done this twice, I think she can handle our children too." I sighed and relaxed back to the seat, knowing he was right.
I trusted Bianca more than anything with our children, surely I can handle one night away from them. As much as I wanted to get away from my children and take a breather for more than twenty seconds and now that I had a break, I was a mess just missing them.
When we arrived at the venue, I couldn't help but stare in awe at how beautiful it was. We explored the building, checking out the reception hall and wedding area, making sure everything was up to par and ready for tomorrow.
I almost cried during the rehearsal, simply because I couldn't believe I am marrying the man of my dreams tomorrow. It seemed so surreal, standing there, hand in hand while the officiant ran through what the ceremony entails. Our eyes remained locked on each other and I almost forgot that the officiant was even speaking because I was staring at Jeffrey so intently. I didn't even think about what was happening around me.
"Do we really have to sleep apart tonight?" He asked as we began my things in Angelie's car.
He took my hand, pulling me towards his body and wrapping his arms around me.
"You know I hate sleeping alone." He pouted his lips and I looked at him somberly.
"You can't see me before I walk down the aisle, Jeffrey. It is bad luck."
"Can't we just wake up at different times? I will sleep late, you get up early and I won't see you. It works perfectly." I chuckled and shook my head.
"You know you are an early riser. I would have to get up at three in the morning to get past you." He let out a dramatic sign.
"Can I have a kiss before you go?"
"Of course you can."
He pressed my lips to his and he didn't waste a moment before slipping his tongue into my mouth. Our lips molded together, moving in sync before I heard a cough behind me and I pulled away, turning around to see Rose, Angelie and Janice. All looking at me with raised eyebrows and slight smirk.
"I think I better get going." I whispered and pecked him on the lips one more time.
"I love you."
"I love you more, my Sunshine." He replied and smiled.
