Chapter fifty-two: Don't Be Sassy
Chapter fifty-two: Don't Be Sassy
Jessica
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, hoping he would tell me so the unknown feeling would disappear. He swallowed hard and pressed his lips together.
"I..um…I am just at a loss for words at your beauty sometimes." I blushed and looked down at our intertwined fingers.
"I don't think that is actually what is on your mind but I will take it." He cocked his head.
"What makes you say that?"
"You keep being hesitant about something and I just want you to tell me what is in your heart, you know?" I shrugged.
He sighed and gave me a small smile, his hand reaching up to caress my cheek.
"I promise I am not hiding anything, Princess." I rolled my eyes and looked up at him.
"Promise?" He nodded.
"Yes, I promise."
********
It was on Thursday, I had just finished my final semester exam and returned back to my hostel. I was packing up my belongings for the holidays, feeling extremely confident about all my exams. Olivia hasn't returned so I left a note on her bed telling her to have a happy holiday and would see her when she gets back, maybe.
I was so excited that I would be living with Janice next semester in an apartment off campus and finally have some freedom. Hopefully, we won't get under each other's skin too much. A knock on my door caught my attention, I walked over to open the door and speaking of the devil, Janice stood there with her brother behind.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked, surprisingly excited that her brother is back.
"Hey, want to hangout? I have got Netflix and tons of snacks that will last me a lifetime if I don't share." I smiled and nodded.
"Sure, I have got some tons of snacks here too you guys can dig into."
"Yes!" She yelled.
I turned around to grab the box of snacks Jeffrey bought for me, making sure that my nipple clamps were not on display. I turned to see that Janice had already gone back to her room and her brother was standing there alone.
"She kind of bolted." He shrugged with a sheepish grin.
"Too excited for snacks and movies." I shook my head with a smile.
"Aren't we all?"
I closed my door and locked it behind me, walking with her brother to Janice's room.
"So," he began.
"How has life been treating you? I feel like I haven't seen you much lately."
"Oh, life is good with just a little stress here and there but what can we do? How about you?"
"Pretty much the same, I do like visiting Janice though. It is fun to come to Katagum a lot more than it is to be in Nuka sometimes." I raised an eyebrow and looked at him in confusion.
"Why is that?" He shrugged.
"Sometimes the same old gets boring, you know? Besides, I like seeing you too.
I felt my heart skip a beat and the blush creep onto my face. He didn't like me like that, did he? Surely not, I have had a crush on him but never did I think he would feel the same way. Hopefully, I was just over thinking about what he just said, it was just a friendly thing.
"Oh well, I like seeing you too." I glanced up to see a small smile on his face.
"Maybe sometime we can hang out and catch up and stuff, you know without my sister." He suggested.
I felt my stomach in my throat but I nodded anyway, hoping that I could eventually drop the hint that I didn't want to move past the friendship zone with him. I just couldn't have another situation like this arise with Jeffrey again.
We reached Janice's room, thankfully so the conversation ended immediately and we focused on what movies we were going to watch. As we munched on snickerdoodles cookies and watched the movie her brother picked. I felt my phone buzzing beside me and I glanced at it to see Jeffrey's name on the screen.
'Hi, Pumpkin. I can't wait to see you tomorrow, I will close around one in the afternoon so hopefully you can get to the house by two.'
"Oh my goodness!" I muttered, pressing reply and getting ready to be sassy to him before Janice spoke.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Oh, nothing." I waved her off.
"Just my mother being a mother."
She shrugged and continued watching the movie. So I quickly replied back to Jeffrey.
'Calm down curly, patience is a virtue.'
He was quick to reply and I glanced at my phone, my eyes widened slightly and hoped that no one noticed my facial expression.
'Don't sassy me, Princess. You know what happens when you are a smart ass to daddy.'
'Of course, that's why I do it.'
I smirked and hit the send, ready for a reply that would send my body into a frenzy.
'I won't hesitate to bend you over my lap for giving me this attitude, Princess.'
'That is my goal, daddy.'
He didn't respond immediately but after ten minutes, my phone buzzed. I bit my cheek to hide the burning grin aching to creep onto my face.
'You are such a fúcking teaser and you are going to get a proper punishment tomorrow. Sleep well, Princess, you are going to need the rest.'
'Will the punishment tire me out.'
'Probably not but all the sex we will be doing will.'
*********
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of rain pattering on the window. I frowned and rubbed the sleep from my eyes, questioning mother nature and her crazy weather choice. We were in December and it was raining, that is nasty. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and noticed a text from Jeffrey.
'Good morning, Pumpkin. Luka will be picking you up around one-thirty. Have a wonderful day and I will see you later.'
I smiled and set my phone aside, rolling over and decided to sleep a little more since it was still early. I couldn't be finally done with this semester and spent over three weeks with Jeffrey in Paris. I prayed that time would go slow so I could cherish every moment before we finally said goodbye.
I ended up not being able to sleep because of all the thoughts running through my head. I couldn't help but wonder what Paris looks like, I mean like what Jeffrey's house looked like. If we were staying at his parent's house or his own mansion, what sights would we visit? I was both excited and anxious.
I was a mess thinking about getting my tattoo this weekend. I am terrified at the thought of how painful it would be but since Jeffrey would be right next to me, the pain would be the last thing on my mind.
At one in the afternoon, I was already packed up to go. I couldn't believe that in just a couple of days, Jeffrey and I would be on a private jet to Paris. I couldn't even wrap my head around the idea of spending Christmas and new year in a new country when I haven't even left my state in my entire life.
A knock ratted at the door, I felt my heart suddenly skip a beat when I thought for a moment that it could Steven. Do I open it? What if it is Janice saying goodbye? I decided to grow a pair and open the door, seeing Janice's brother. His cute smile on display and his hands shoved in his pocket.
"Oh, hey."
I was a little surprised that he was in my room right now but part of me was extremely happy about it.
"What's up?" He shrugged.
"Janice and I will be headed out soonm. I told her that I was going to the bathroom but I really just wanted to see you before we left, you know, by myself."
I felt the blush creeping onto my cheeks. What the hell is happening to me? I nodded with a smile.
"Well, I am glad you stopped by, I wondered if you and Janice had already left."
"She has got so much junk so it is taking her forever for her to finally finish packing." He smiled with an eye roll.
"But anyways, I am not in a hurry."
I smiled and leaned against the door frame, hoping he would soon leave because Luke would be here in fifteen minutes. Who knows how long it would take Janice to finally be ready?
"Are you guys doing anything special for Christmas?" I asked, he gave me a little shrug.
"Probably the same we do every year, go to our grandparent's house, eat some pork and pretend we like the crazy printed socks they got us. Then go home and drink." I nodded and laughed.
"Sounds like a hell of time."
"Definitely, what about you? Anything exciting this year?"
"Oh no, actually nothing exciting. Same old things, you know?"
I felt my voice wavering and since I wasn't a terrible liar, I was praying he didn't notice it.
"Maybe, we could….."
"Hey junkhead!" I heard Janice's voice down the hall and I thanked the goodness for sending her to me at this moment, she walked up to us.
"What the hell? I am all done packing, now come help me?"
"Sorry," he said with a sheepish grin before turning back to me.
"See you next year, Jessica."
"Have a good break, guys."
I hugged Janice as both of them left. I picked up my things and locked my door, heading to the parking space as Luke was already there waiting.
