Chapter nineteen: A Punishment
Chapter nineteen: A Punishment
Jessica
We exchanged our clothes and checked ourselves in the mirror.
"I am not sure I enjoyed this party." She shrugged.
"It is not great but we were also sober so that's probably why."
"Well, I promised myself I wouldn't drink tonight. The last two times I has gone out, I have come home completely trashed and I really don't want to do that again."
"It is okay, Jess. I really didn't want to drink tonight either. I just wanted to get away from my roommate and her boyfriend tonight."
"He is still there? Doesn't he have classes?"
"It is like he never left and I am like okay, fine, have him over but that's my living space too and I just hate that he is basically living with us all the time. I am pretty sure that he has clothes stashed in her closet in situations like this.
I couldn't imagine bringing a boy over to the hostel as much as her roommate did. Even Olivia doesn't bring Harry over that often but then again, she was out with him more than she was in our room, so it really didn't matter.
"Let's go back to the party and make the most of it." I took a deep breath and nodded confidently.
We left the bathroom, I noticed one of the doors we passed was now open. I couldn't help but glance inside and my eyes landed upon Steven, he was sitting on the bed with a girl on his lap and they were very deep in a make out session. My eyes widened and I quickly looked away and pulled Janice along with me as I rushed into the kitchen.
"What happened?"
"I saw Steven having sex with someone." She gave me a confused look.
"Okay, so? You told me you didn't like him like that."
"I don't but…. I don't understand why he wants to keep hanging out with me and why Olivia keeps urging me to. Clearly he is not interested."
"Don't worry about it, Jessica. He is probably one of those fuckboys that just wants to get in your pants, just ignore him." I nodded.
We continue partying, talking to some people from class and actually letting loose without getting drunk. I dance with her and some other girls we met, totally forgetting about Steven, Jeffrey and this entire week's stress.
It was around past midnight when Janice came up to me saying that we should be going. We said goodbye to Olivia and thanked Harry for inviting us before we headed out to the bus station and hopped on the shuttle.
"The party wasn't actually too bad." She muttered.
"Yes, those girls were super nice."
We got back to the hostel, both of us stayed in my room since Olivia isn't coming back tonight.
"You don't mind if I call Jeffrey, do you? I told him I would do so."
"Go ahead, I am going to the bathroom anyway." I dialed his number as she walked to the bathroom.
"Hi, Princess." His husky voice answered on the second ring.
"I am sorry, did I wake you?" I bit my lips, I hadn't even realized how late it was.
"No, are you okay? What were you doing?"
"Janice and I went to the party my roommate's boyfriend organized. And before you asked, I didn't talk to any boy and I didn't drink. I hung out with some other girls the whole time." He sighed.
"Well, I appreciate you telling me that truth, I am just glad you are back home safe, I was starting to worry."
"I am fine, I promise. Is it okay if I come to your place tomorrow or should I wait until Saturday?"
Janice came out of the bathrooms and shut the door quietly as she noticed I was still on the phone.
"You can come tomorrow, at earliest probably around one or two in the afternoon. I am off early tomorrow so I can come pick you up if you are free then."
"That would be perfect, just text me when you're off work and I will be ready."
"I love it when you are ready for me, baby girl." He spoke smoothly.
"Stop, Jeff. My best friend is in the room." She turned to me with wide eyes and swiftly walked over to me and tried to press her ear to the back of the phone in hope of eavesdropping on the conversation.
I immediately pushed her away and shot her a look, she shrugged innocently even though I knew she desperately wanted to know what he was saying.
"Oh, sorry. So I won't bring up the fact that my dick is just aching to be inside you right now."
"Jeffrey!" I felt my lower region start to heat up and I awkwardly turned away from Janice to hide my flushed cheeks.
"Come on, baby girl, you know you love it when I talk dirty."
"Jeffrey, not now. I am hanging up on you."
"If you hang up, I won't hesitate to spank that perky ass of yours the next time I see you."
"Is that supposed to be a punishment?" Janice gawked at me and I rolled my eyes.
"I will give you a proper punishment. Go to sleep now, Princess. You will need all the rest because you are going to have a long evening tomorrow and you will need the energy."
My mouth dropped and I bid goodbye, hanging up and turned to see Janice with her mouth still dropped to the floor."
"I can't believe what I just heard." She muttered.
"Me too."
When I woke up the next morning, I didn't feel that tired, I ended up skipping my class since I already had my assignment done. I wasn't too worried about missing anything. Janice was still sleeping in Olivia's bed and I didn't expect her to wake up for another hour or so.
It was almost eleven when I finally hopped out of bed and grabbed a juice from my mini fridge. I had packed all my stuff for the weekend, there was only remaining to take a shower and get ready. I grabbed all the essentials and headed for the shower. By the time I returned, Janice was already awake and busy with her phone.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty." She rubbed her hands down her face.
"I didn't even drink last night and I still feel hungover.* She groaned.
I agreed with her, although I was kind of happy that I chose not to drink, who knows what decision I would have made if I had taken a few shots. I got dressed and finished packing, she looked over at my bag with a raised eyebrow.
"You are only taking that much?" I shrugged.
"It is only the weekend and I probably won't steal some of his clothes anyway."
I grabbed his clothes off my desk that I had borrowed after his business party. She sat up and her eyes trailed from the clothes to me.
"Are those his?" I looked down at them.
"Yes, I washed them but I kept forgetting to give them back to him." She closed her eyes and sniffed the sweatpants.
"Oh my gosh, they still smell like him." I snatched the clothes away from her.
"You are so weird, why are you smelling his clothes?"
"I wanted to know what he smells like! All guys have a scent and Jeffrey's is just what I thought it would be." I gazed at her trying to comprehend her strangeness.
"You have thought about what he smells like?" She shrugged.
"Maybe." I laughed and rolled my eyes at her and stuffed the clothes in my bag.
"Want us to go for lunch before I go?"
"I can't, I promised my roommate, I would take her to work today because her car broke down."
"When did that happen?"
"She texted me a while ago so I got to run but I will see you on Sunday, right?"
"Yes, I will text you when I am on my way back and you can just meet me at my room." She nodded and hugged me before heading back to her hostel.
It was only twelve-thirty, so I decided to get some lunch at the dinner center alone so I could get some food in my system before I went to his house. The dinner center wasn't that crowded, I was about to eat and get out of there without running into Steven or anyone I met last night. To be honest, some of them were probably too drunk and won't remember me anyway. Hopefully, it goes the same for all those people who saw me and Janice in our underwear.
By one-thirty, I was already bored out of my mind and just anxious to get out of the hostel. I texted Jeffrey and told him I couldn't wait to see him, he didn't respond but then again it has only been thirty seconds.
I picked up my laptop and logged into the university's website to see my grades and see when I finally exams were coming up. Then I switched to watching my favorite movie. I am addicted and I can't stop watching it.
At 1:55pm, my phone buzzed and I saw Jeffrey's name. I quickly opened it to read his message.
"Leaving the office now, I am on my way.'
I hopped off the bed and gathered my things, I wore Janice's jacket from last night and walked out of my room. I headed down the hall towards the parking space, I had completely forgotten how long it actually takes to drive from his office to campus.
