Chapter 12



Weeks has passed and Vanessa and Ronaldo's relationship kept on improving, he only spent his times with her, hanging out so she won't get bored been stocked at home, taking her to amusement parks, play centers and lot more, if he isn't with her then he will talk on phone all day, and the funniest part was the Fredrick haven't noticed any absorb changes about Ronaldo, which makes it even more easier for Ronaldo bringing up excuses and Fredrick will just agree, even though Diego won't stop questioning Ronaldo, he always finds a way to escaped from it.

But something do makes Ronaldo sad, the fact that his brother trusted him so much and he is hiding the biggest secret and threat to his life and reputation, the one he has been searching for all throughout the past months all over Africa, west and south, north and east Africa, will he ever forgive him if he finds out that he has been keeping Vanessa all this while? But in a nice thought, he is helping his brother from committing other crimes.

In the other hand, Diego's delivery of hard drugs has been a blast and a huge success; they were able to make some little profit even after losing their drugs to Anthony.

"Cheers to it!" Fredrick said and they made a toast of success with their last client.

A mistake done but it sure never gonna happen again, Diego had promised himself that no matter what, he will never deliver goods by himself no matter the profit he will get.

Fredrick and the clients were all drunk to stupor, dancing to the loud noisy music and making loud noises with their thick, loud and deep voices.

The whole place was a mess and its smells so bad.

And the celebration is taking place at Ronaldo's home.

After they all left, Ronaldo returned home.

Finding his brother half dead drunk on the couch.

He barely opens his eyes.

Ronaldo wanna puke immediately he enters the room, the disgusting and irritating smell hit him in his nose causing him an immediate stomach explosion, he quickly run to the toilet and vomit.

He tied his nose before returning to the seating room.

This time around, he scanned the whole place.

Some pieces of broken glasses were all scattered around the room, food left over, dead cigarettes, and even dried vomiting.

"What on Earth happened here?" Ronaldo asked loud but Fredrick didn't move.

Angrily, Ronaldo tabs his back hard.

"Open your eyes brother!" He yelled.

"I"...want...to...sleep." Fredrick replied drunkenly closing his eyes.

Ronaldo entered the kitchen and returned with a full glass of lemon juice.

He made Fredrick drink it, and a while later, he opened his eyes.

"You are home brother, I didn't know." Fredrick said.

"What on Earth has happened here?" Ronaldo asked.

"What do you mean?" Fredrick asked groaning.

"Look over this room, look at how messy it is." Ronaldo replied and Fredrick chuckled.

"We had fun with my friend; remember the goods we launch last month." Fredrick said.

"You mean drugs and weapons huh?" Ronaldo asked.

"Exactly, it was sold out completely yesterday and we had gain huge profit, so we just spent the night celebrating, it was too bad you weren't there to join us." Fredrick said.

"Heaven forbid, I will never do that, you should have understood by now that we are different, anyways, this place is getting me sick, please get your men to clean it up, I'm going out." Ronaldo said.

"But you just returned and it's already late." Fredrick said.

"I know, I will spend the night at a hotel, I can't stand adding another minute here."

Ronaldo replied.

"But we can get this clean in no time, it no safe for you to go out this late, you know I have a lot of enemies." Fredrick said.

Ronaldo already reached the door.

"I will call you when I reach the hotel, good night." Ronaldo said and head to his car, he entered and zooms off.



Diego's spies spread out in every part of African countries, in search of Vanessa; they all want to be the winner of the grab prize Diego will give to the person that will first bring the witness to him.

And the most smartest one has collaborate with internet wizard and they are getting there, they already find out that Vanessa is at South Africa, they are just working on the state she lives there and her address, and he decided not to say anything until he find her.



**South Africa**

Vanessa was sleeping when she heard a loud bang, she became scared.

"Who is there?" She asked but no reply, she pick up a stick and like a soldier, she hide behind the door and opened the door.

She raised the stick and was about to hit it when Ronaldo hold the stick.

"Acting brave huh?" He said in a mocking tone and she felt awkward.

'I thought it was someone?" Vanessa replied and let him.

"That's nice; I shouldn't be worrying since you have a stick." Ronaldo laughed.

"C'mon you scared me, what are you doing here late at night?" Vanessa asked and turn on the light.

"I just can't stay another minute in that house with my crazy brother." Ronaldo replied.

"Tell me more." Vanessa said.

"Well, his drug business bomb up and him and his crazy clients celebrate the whole night and created huge mess in the house, the place smell that shit." Ronaldo narrated.

"Too bad, was your brother a doctor? Why is he selling drugs?" Vanessa asked and he glared at her.

"Sorry, I was just joking, now that you are here, I don't need to be scared again, infect I'm not feeling sleepy, so maybe we can play games as usual." Vanessa said.

"Unfortunately lady, I'm tired." Ronaldo replied and she turns her face and frown.

"Okay, cut it off, I was just joking, I can't stand your frown face; it looks as if a ghost is staring at me." Ronaldo said and she chuckled.

"Do I look like a ghost? Seriously." Vanessa asked.

"Maybe a pretty ghost." Ronaldo replied and they both laughed.

"Okay, so right now, if you have just one wish to make, what will you ask for?" Ronaldo asked.

"I will ask for three more wishes." Vanessa answered.

"That's not fair, you can only ask for one wish." Ronaldo pouted.

"Don't pout." Vanessa pushed his head back.

"Okay, you can ask for three wishes, so what do you want to wish for?" Ronaldo asked.

"I will first wish to see my mom, I really missed her more than words can explain, and then secondly, I will like to visit Kenya to see Mama and Dije, they helped me a lot, I want to see Kenya because the people there were so nice and kind to be, they treated strangers as families and lastly, this last wish will grand both the first two wishes." Vanessa said.

Ronaldo stared at her as she explained it with a sad smile.

"I want to be free, and live a normal life just like before, I wanna be that once upon normal girl without fears of been attacked or threatened to be killed, I want to stop bothering you, I want you to stay in one place and focus not moving always from Mozambique to south Africa." Vanessa exclaimed.

"I believe that everything will be over soon, very soon, now no one is searching for you, you just have to be a little more patient so they all can forget about searching for you, and you will return to live your normal life." Ronaldo said.

She nodded.

"I trust and believe in you Ronaldo, you are my savior, my knight in shining armor." Vanessa replied.

They talked for a while before sleeping off.



**Anthony's house**

Nathaniel and Anthony also hired for an internet professor.

They welcomed him in.

"Good day sir, thanks for accepting our invitation." Anthony said.

"You welcome." The professor replied.

"We heard of your amazing job and we are willing to offer you every amount you want and even more if you can help us find this girl." Anthony said and showed him Vanessa's picture.

He held the picture staring at it.

"How long have you been searching for her?" He asked.

"Three months and some weeks I guess."

Anthony replied.

"You have wasted so much time already, you should have find me, this will have been a past news, tracking the location of a girl without any phone number isn't a child's play, and doing that will cause us a lot of time." The professor said.

"How fast can we get this done sir? We really need this; we are urgently looking for her." Anthony asked.

"I and my team have to work for at least another month before we will be able to find her, that's if she is still within Africa, but if she is outside Africa, then it can cost it two months or more." He answered.

Anthony sighed.

"What should we do? Do we have to wait for month before I could take revenge on my father's murderer?" Anthony asked Nathaniel more like a whispering.

"If he is sure that he can find her, then its better we try." Nathaniel replied.

Anthony nod and face the professor.

"Say your price, we are in." Anthony said.

"That's cool, my secretary will send the price to your email, we will find her within a month if she is within Africa and also, you shouldn't worry about anything, we are going to start working tomorrow." The professor replied.

They shake hands and Nathaniel walked him to his car.

"For how long shall I be letting my father killer's breath the air of living? Why can't I find the witness sooner, I have to get justice for my father, even if it will cost me all my savings." Anthony soloquize.

Nathaniel returned and informed him that everything has been settled.

And the search for Vanessa continues from both people, Diego and Anthony.

Who get her first?



**The next day**

The smart spy has already found out the location of Vanessa.

He prepared to confirm his research early in the morning by leaving to the address that shown on his track.

He saw not too big house and he waited there, his tracking arrow shows green, which means she is still there.



At Vanessa's room.

Ronaldo got dressed up ready to leave.

Vanessa followed him out and the spy saw her, his arrow started beeping.

Somehow, Ronaldo noticed someone watching them and he went around, they soy saw him and quickly hide.

"Everything okay?" Vanessa asked.

"Yes, just go back in and don't open the door until I ask you to." Ronaldo said.

Vanessa nodded though not sure if she is safe.

Ronaldo entered his car and started driving, he saw someone watching Vanessa through his car mirror.

He made a you turn and decided to take things slowly.

He gets out of the car and started walking really slow.

He saw the guy hiding at the back of the three.

"I'm sure Diego sent this guy, I can't allow him to escape." Ronaldo thought and he saw the spy making a call.



**Diego's Mafia empire**

Diego's phone rings and it's one of his spy.

"Hello boss, I have important news, I'm sure you will love it." The spy said.

"Does it have to do with the witness girl? Have you found her? Where is she?" Diego asked at once.

"Boss, I...I..." He tried to say but the phone disconnected.

Diego tried calling severally but it's not reachable.



Back at the scene.

Ronaldo snatched the phone from the spy and smashed it on the floor to avoid getting any trace.

"Ronaldo!" The spy called.

"I will tell everyone that you were the one hiding the witness." The spy threatened.

"You won't even get the chance to do that." Ronaldo said and brought his gun.

He shot him right on the chest.

This is the first time he killed someone in his life.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you expose me."

Ronaldo said and buried the spy.

He quickly returns to Vanessa.

"Get your things ready, we are leaving."

Ronaldo said.

"But why? Is everything alright?" Vanessa asked.

"No, they have found out your location and you are no safer here, we have to relocate to London." Ronaldo said.

"What! London!" Vanessa said surprised.

"Be fast, we have no time to waste." Ronaldo replied.
